Mauve... A myth, or a Color?

State your opinions!

Mauve, is it real? Is it a color, or simply a figment of imagination?

Do you honestly believe that purple and mauve are different colors... or do you resist the truth?

I do not resist the truth, I resist a lie! The words I spread are the words of truth, the words granted to us from birth! Mauve never will be, nor never has it been, a color! Only, on this world, is there purple, and the seven other colors within the Crayola Eight Pack of Crayons!

If you can point out the differences, and put a name to it, it's real to you.

For me, I just see purple, since I never learned the word Mauve.

There is actually a science to this. Most women can see Mauve, and most men can't. This is because the brain interprets color the same way computers do - a combination of Red, Green, and Blue. However, the ability to see red is only in the 'X' chromosome. Therefore, women are twice as good at differentiating between colors that consist of red. Mauve is like purple, but it contains more red. However, since men are lacking an 'X' chromosome compared to women, the colors look the same.

In addition, of course Mauve exists. All colors exist, but our ability to see them is lacking. There is an infinite number of colors, we just give names to the ones we can differentiate between.

As a scientist I am forced to say it exists, but as a man I am forced to say it can not. Oh.. And neither does burgundy! Haha

Ronin is smart. Guys must be baffled by those uber Crayola packs, the ones with over a hundred colors. xD
