Shale
Race: Kelvic (gray fox)
Gender: Female
Birthdate: Spring, 15, 509 AV
Age: 2
Weight: 182 pounds
Description
With six feet and four inches in height, Shale is on the taller side of the spectrum. Her Kelvic origins aren't particularly noticeable besides pronounced canine teeth and deep-set light blue eyes. More attention getting is her trim dancer's body, where subtle muscles born of many performances since her days as a child, and a moderate tan, hint at how she often makes use of her time; spending it on the outdoor stage under little to no canvas ceiling.
As her animal form, she appears as such.
History
When she was an impressionable little kit, she was always awed by the go-get-em style of her "master", Matthew Edward Ignacious, who was a leader of an entertainment group. He was always looking for ways to do things both awesome and grand in scale.
Ever since Shale joined his group and taken under her master's wing, he always had her more in support roles than actually taking center stage. As other actors, dancers, and performers all had more specific roles, she was often off to the side. She thusly developed some experience in a number of things, but never managed to master anything as she moved far too quickly from one to the next. However, Shale did eventually get to the point where she could be found running a show or two in the absence of Ignacious.
One day when she was given such a task, he left town as he sometimes did, venturing out to Zeltiva try and strike a bargain with a golem-crafter for "special items that are sure to make us famous." He did eventually came back home, but in a coffin, brought by a few friends who had traveled with him.
Even without their ringleader, the entire group fell apart with most performers going back to their respective homes or going on to pursue their own goals, taking their equipment and talent with them.
Shale would have been passed on to her master's family, but she decided that her loyalty was with that man alone. His family was less enthusiastic about the entertainment business, preferring a quiet, stable life to the gambits and splendor of her master's, driving her to make the decision.
Thusly, she has set off for a life of her own, both in and with the purpose of, homage to her master.
Personality
Somewhat ignorant but ambitious; Shale is, an entertainer. Whether at heart, as part of her Kelvic nature, or by habit and practice, she enjoys the opportunity to lighten the mood or make others happy.
Due to her former career as a backup performer, Shale eagerly falls into step with music or acts, be it an impromptu musical performance or trying to take on a different persona to work with a fellow street performer. In regards to music especially, few things can calm her down and return Shale to a collected state of mind as well as a tune.
The entrepreneurial, grand-scheme-ing, excitable, splendid persona of Shale's early master was a great influence to her, and as part of that, she found what she calls, her favorite word; "grand."
But beyond mere wordplay, her perception of him as an enterprising and charismatic individual sticks with her, demanding that she try to plot and plan for the very long-term and to truly aim "grand." His memory drives her to this day to achieve her goals of glory and splendor, while her industrious, can-do attitude and creative mind causes this Kelvic to, as she credits her master with the term, "grand-scheme."
In honor of this, Shale is determined to go down in the history books one way or another. And like her master, she has a plan...
She's going to put on a show that even the gods themselves will have difficulty forgetting. She just has to find out how.

Story: The Foolish Fox and the Shoelace - One day, the Foolish Fox was going about his business, hunting mice in a farm. The farmer had an old shoelace on a warn out pair of shoes that he never bothered with. As the fox was hunting, he accidentally forgot to close the barn door. Not only did the mice escape through the door when he wasn't looking, but a breeze blew in and made the shoelace dance like a snake. The fox decided that a snake would do as well, since he was hungry. So, he attacked the shoelace. Moral of the story? Don't be careless. If the fox wasn't careless, he wouldn't have left the door open and consequently miss a meal.
Life Lessons: Busking isn't welcome in Syliras - Turns out, clogging up the passageways with people isn't the best way to gain respect from the Knights.
Life Lessons: Using feminine charms to get (mostly) out of trouble - Talk to someone the right way, and they'll be happy to help. Wearing a performer's clothes do help though.
Characterization: The Foolish Fox- Over time, Shale has had one act that she has done repeatedly. That of the recurring Foolish Fox, used as a filler show in between setting up major performances. She can generally judge how that character would act in a given situation and has an easy time slipping into this particular persona.
Music: Harmonizing - due to being a Kelvic as well as a performer, her senses are able to pick up on the intricacies of another singer or performer, giving Shale the ability to try to match the pitch, beat, rhythm, and tempo with great accuracy.
Equipment
Heirloom - Shale's Favorite Tambourine
1 Set of Clothing: Her old performer's costume. While not exactly the most proper of outfits to wear for general purpose, not much can beat its comfort at such a low cost. Composed of sandals, copper belt, ankle-reaching baggy blue pants, a maroon long-sleeved tunic that is generally tucked into the pants. Bits of cloth hang off of both the pants and tunic as decoration. A cloak completes the set with matching blue on the outside and maroon on the inner.
1 Waterskin
1 Backpack which contains:
1 Set of Toiletries (comb, brush, razor, soap)
1 eating knife
Flint & Steel
Belongings
600 gold Misas (100 starting +500 from having no home)
Additional Notes
*Shale generally goes around clothed, having the habit instilled on her from her master who insisted that a voluntarily clothed Kelvic is more of a rarity than one running down the streets nude. She still considers it part of her act, where she "surprises" an audience by revealing that she is in fact a Kelvic despite her usual garments.
*She was often a backup performer for most of the others' shows. This is mostly because she doesn't have a whole lot of expertise or skill of her own. On the flip-side, Shale developed as fairly multi-talented.
*Shale managed to gain a rather quirky party trick during her previous career; she can make her eyes go cross or otherwise point in opposite directions. She mostly uses this to garner some laughs for one of her acts called "the foolish fox," playing as the titular foolish fox character in a skit created by her master.
*Where does a two-year old pick up Arumenic and Myrian? From her performance group. The Myrian, was a juggler and knife-thrower, and the Eypharion who tried to teach her Arumenic, a drummer.
