The last time Kendall had set otu to visit Kova's Well he had gotten a bit sidetracked. Well, sidetracked was a bit of an understatement. He had completely disreguarded the reason he visited the well because of a pretty face. He now faced the well with a quiet stare. "Sorry I got distracted last time Ivak." He closed his eyes as he silently prayed to Ivak. He felt content in his silent bond to the fire God.

Staring down the walls of the well Kendall let out a sigh. He had strange memories of this place. It was where is biggest secret had been found out. The memory seemed to haunt him a bit as he looked around. He had wanted Hadrian to prove to him that he did not need Kay'lan. The meeting had not gone as he had hoped it would but of course, it went a lot better than he expected too. This time he would try to give a little more attention to the well. He had to for Ivak. He pulled a wrinkled up piece of paper from his pocket and looked down into the water. He had written a poem for the deceesed queen. He knew it was not as normal as she would have liked but to him, it was the most precious thing he had. Without his way with words he had nothing.

"Far off queen
Resting softly in the Ukalas
Dream sweetly if you can
Your city breathes safe in your absense
The fire misses you terribly
The mountains cannot keep him away forever
For a moment I found solace in water
But he slipped silently away
The stars will try to smile upon you
Reflecting every which way in your shimming waters
They will reach out to you soon enough
Dear silent Queen
Rest softly
Dream sweetly
Watch with a tranquil smile
You can rest now
Let the clouds caress you softly
In your eternal rest

Kendall smiled into the waters and ran his finger across it's stoney walls. "I hope you liked it Kova." He pulled his sleaves up to show the well the fiery mark that circled around his left wrist. It was the marking of Ivak, Kova's lover. He felt closer to the god when he was at the well even if Ivak was locked far away in Kalea.
"I'm burning and I'm blacking my lungs.
Boy you know it feels good with fire back on your tongue."

[Kova's Well] Well, That's a Deep Subject (Ageru)

"That was beautiful. It a rare treat to hear true art" Vimos slowly clapped his hands. The boy looked sad, and thoughtful. "I've not the gift of song or story". He pulled off his mottled cloak and sat his pack upon the ground. The sunlight made his jeweled bluegreen arm. He sat heavily, drinking from his waterskin. "Join me for a meal friend?" Vimos asked, pulling some bread and cheese from his sack. He pulled a small knife out and slowly began cutting the bread. "Ah perhaps I should introduce myself. I'm Vimos stonejaw, an Isur from the mountains. But you could probly tell that from this." He said with a smile, holding up his arm. "First tim outside of the mountains for me. I was hoping to find a few kind people, perhaps a job. So how bout it. Come eat with me friend."

[Kova's Well] Well, That's a Deep Subject (Ageru)

Postby Ageru on March 7th, 2011, 3:40 am

The cat was woefully lost in this place. Being new to Syliras he had spent quite some time just wandering the castle-city. It was much bigger than he had given it credit to, but it was just as orderly as he expected. The Knights kept the place as safe as they could, and although he was lost he really didn’t mind. Only though getting lost, going to places that haven’t yet been explored, is the only way, he was sure, to getting the geography down. The only way to be found is to be lost; if you’re not lost then you cannot be found.

Wandering aimlessly he pulled his cloak more tightly around him finding the warmth of the fur comforting he managed a smile. There were far worse things than being lost, and, in fact, he didn’t mind it. He has been lost ever sense he ran away, and so now it seemed a common thing. He thought that it would be weird actually knowing a way to a place, and already, getting a feel for the city was horrible. He indeed was a strange cat.

Stopping in his tracks as he spied a lone person, it was weird to see someone alone. Usually they had someone to be with, but this one seemed to be deep in thought. He seemed to be really interested in the old well that he was at. That made the cat interested in what exactly this well was; being new he really had no idea. It looked old enough that was for sure.

Intrigued he continued to watch, but curiosity got the best of him. Slowly, cautiously walking up to the well he gave the man a friendly smile placing a hand on the well, feeling the age old stone. He could feel this place had some special connection to the man just by the way he looked into the waters. Not saying a thing the cat preferred to listen and wait for the first move to be made, if one should come. Conversations were not a specialty of him, but he could hold his own in one. Though for now he will watch, listen, and look into the waters of the well. There just had to be something special about this place to have lasted so long, or maybe it was just for the water that the well gave.

[Kova's Well] Well, That's a Deep Subject (Ageru)

Postby Kendall Saarinen on March 8th, 2011, 4:20 am

From the corner of his eye Kendall could see as a man walked up beside him. He was not a master in the works of conversation. He used to be back when he was himself in Zeltiva but now, in this body he felt a bit lost. He man seemed to hold a bit of elegance and beauty. In his own way, he seemed to have a bit of a different look to him, much like Cathan did. Kendall looked at him quizzically and then back to the stone well. As he looked down into the depths of the well he saw the water. It reminded him of the man he had met at the well last season. His memory seemed to haunt him at bit. He was such a particular and interesting man to say the least.

The water seemed to hypnotize Kendall at bit, luring his thoughts back to Hadrian. He shook his head, causing his blonde locks to become disheveled. Pushing his bangs to the side he looked at the man beside him. ”Paying your respects to Kova?” He still leaned over the edge of the well staring into the water. When he had a better paying job or one at all he hoped to return to the well to give Kova a proper offering of a gold miza. Although he found his poetry to be a kind offering to the late queen he felt a little upset with himself that he did not have more to give her.

Looking down, Kendall could see his mark still clear for the world to see on his wrist. He quickly pulled his sleeve down over his mark with a scarlet hue stretching across his face. Many people were not too fond of Ivak or his followers, the Azenth. One could never be sure when looking at someone if they were the type to take out the worlds fury on the fiery followers or if they were the interesting folk that Kendall had met who could care less that Kendall stuck loyally by Ivak’s side.

Mismatched green and blue looked over the new coming man at Kendall’s side. ”Not a big talker?” Kendall could understand that. He was not one who was much for words either at most times. The only people who could seem to get him to talk more than a few sentences at a time were Hadrian and Cathan.

[Kova's Well] Well, That's a Deep Subject (Ageru)

Postby Ageru on March 9th, 2011, 8:24 pm

He smiled at the man, who was at the well, when he would see an inquiring look come his way. Though, unlike the man before him, the cat stared at the guy as he looked back down into the waters, watching ever so closely his every movement. Something was out of place, and odd, but after the first question was asked an amused smile spread across his face. Kova? Who was that? Looking into the water he shook his head unknowing of who Kova was and why he would even begin to respect a person that he doesn’t know. Though she must be fairly important to have a well, a memorial, after her, “To kova?” he asked again looking at the man, ”No.” he let a long pause ensue before speaking again, ”I came here because… Well, this well looked interesting.” He grinned at him saying only part of the truth, but truth nonetheless.

He continued to watch him and then the well again admiring the structure for what it was. Sure was old and it must be important. He nodded to himself agreeing with his thoughts for once. Remaining a good distance away he let silence creep into the conversation again. Well, if it even was a conversation. Finding as he stood there he was leaning more and more against the well. It was there and seemingly stable.

Though there was no verbal conversation going on there was something there. He hadn’t though noticed the mark on the guys wrist, though it was obvious that he was either cold or trying to hide something. Usually though when someone is covering up it is to hide something that should be left unseen, but he wouldn’t push the issue and only make a silent note of it. Secrets are a thing that he could keep rather well because he has some of his own. Though some things that he would like to hide, like a mark of his own, isn’t so easily hidden as it affects not only what he does but how people feel when in his presence.

”Not a big talker?” A small smile would creep over his face as he heard and repeated the question, ”I could be if you want me to be.” The kelvic would laugh like it was funny, but there really nothing funny about it, ”Though not usually. I like watching.” he flashed him another smile. He was glad the man was talking to him, but most people usually did.

Looking back into the water he reached a curious down the well as if to touch it. Nothing was quite as interesting as an old well of water.

The man was not a big talker but Kendall could respect it. He was not a man of many words either. He always found it a but uncomfortable to be in coversations where both he and the person he was talking to were quiet. He always felt the need to feel up the verbal gap. Back when he was a girl he was a very big talker. In truth, he had never stopped talking. People often got annoyed with her endless chatter but she simply had so much to say. So many thing were running around in that head of hers! The same amount of thoughts seemed to ramble around his head now but he no longer felt as though people wanted to hear what he had to say. "I think it is quite interesting. Do you know the history of this well?" Kendall looked at the man with a somewhat welcoming look, hoping the question was not too odd.

Kendall knew the story behind the well all too well. His mother had told him about it when he was younger but then it just seemed like a fantastic tale of the God who made fire and sneaky God of choas, Rhysol. The story had not been his favorite but it had stuck with him. He much prefered his mother's stories about the beautiful queens of far away places. Back then he had wanted to be like that. A loved monarch, idolized by all. Now he just wanted to be himself.

The man seemed quite interesting in the way he deflected Kendall's question so simply. He gave him a small chuckle and looked down into the water. "Hmmm, well I don't want to ask you something too personal. You never know who gets offended by things like that. It can get you killed at times." Kendall chewed his lip and sighed, looking at Ageru. "Well, probably not here. I hear Syliras is very safe. It seems like it is. I haven't seen many ruckuses since I arrived." Kendall was a bit caught on what to say. He decided to ask the simplest question. "Well, I'm Ken. What is your name?" He held a hand out to Ageru to give him a shake of greeting. He hoped the question was not too daunting. He never knew what offended people. He had seen nothing but the walls of the university and Zeltiva for 21 years and they were all he knew in a way. He knew Cathan, the simple kelvic man and Sondra, the interesting Konti. Even Hadrian, that curious man that seemed to haunt his thoughts night and day. It was becoming blatantly obvious that he was not in Zeltiva anymore.

[Kova's Well] Well, That's a Deep Subject (Ageru)

Postby Ageru on March 30th, 2011, 6:15 pm

Ageru was the type of cat that could be both in silence and in talk for quite a while before one or the other bugged him. He was a go with the flow kind of guy, or so he liked to think. So the silence that seemed to fill in the words for him wasn’t always as uncomfortable as humans made it seem, but he was no loner and actively sough the company of others. He knew when to talk and when to stay quiet, or maybe that was just him being shy and not admitting it.

He just liked company talkative or not he could deal with it. Glancing back at the man he shook his head to the question, ”Nope” he said as if to reinforce his answer with the power and authority of words. He would know like no other the power words had, but he also respected the actions of others as well. Sometimes words, despite the common belief otherwise, were more revealing than actions. True the words could be lies, but so also could actions. Movement can be intentional, and there were such things as actors after all.

Even though he had admitted that he didn’t know the history of the well he found himself wanting to know more about it. He wondered, perhaps, if the other knew the history and that is why he had asked. Well, Ageru very much loved stories and could only hope if the man would explain the story it would be in an interesting manner, or enough so to keep his attention.

He listened to mans words and wondered what the heck he was going to ask that could possibly get him killed. The idea, the concept of such a question thrilled him, but also peaked his curiosity. Now interested his eyes were fixed on the other face, staring, if the look wasn’t inverted, into his eyes with a intensity. He wanted to make sure that he knew that he was listening. Though it amused him when the human tried to comfort himself by stating the obvious, that Syliras was indeed a safe place, it always got him, but he liked to state the obvious as well. So he had no room to judge, and the only expression of his amusement he let known for all to see was a silly grin spawning, creeping up his face.

Hearing the coveted question he blinked, a name could get you killed? Not in his experience, but he guessed given the right circumstances. Taking a step back when the hand was extended towards him he eyed it thoughtfully, not knowing if he should take it not. Denying him a handshake was rude, but taking could lead to something… worse. Though shaking hands was a common courtesy, he wasn’t fond of it or any physical contact from strangers. Must be because he knew with a simple handshake he could access knowledge that someone might not want him to have, or something along those lines.

Deciding it best to take the hand he extended his own, slowly, and looked at the man as if he suddenly didn’t trust him. ”Im Ageru” he said politely as he took the hand and in a firm grasp shakes it with a slight smile, a foreboding smile knowing what was to come next. He would get a little peak into the mans heart, into the mans desires, and what he desired right now. Just a little look, nothing too big, a taste, but it would come with the urge to satisfy this want for the man. Something that he both liked and dreaded.

[Kova's Well] Well, That's a Deep Subject (Ageru)

Postby Kendall Saarinen on April 2nd, 2011, 11:48 pm

Kendall was a little bit excited to be able to tell the story of Kova's Well. Her mother had told him about it when he was younger and he had always loved the story. "I'll tell you the story if you like." He was a bit worried about telling it despite his love of the story. He was not sure how the man would react to a story reguarding the Valterian. Many people tried not to think about it. It was a terrible time for very many. Even as an Azenth Kendall could admit that.

"Many years ago there was a queen named Kova. She was loved by her people and kept quite an interesting lover. It was Ivak, the god of fire." Kendall smiled at the mention of the God's name. "Sadly, the queen was to be married to a different man. She needed to marry Galifer, from the nation opposing her own to settle a horrible war. Galifer was much different from Kova though. While she was kind and gentle he was brutal and fierce. He was even more so when he found out that Kova had a lover before him. He was very angry and sentenced her to death. This well is in honor of her. It is said if you throw a Miza into it's depths you can see her apparition." Kendall looked down into the well. He wished he had the money to see her but he needed to get a job first.

If Kendall had known that his new companion was touched by the Gods, much like he was, he would not have reached out to touch his hand. His yearnings and wishes were a little too far off for Ageru to satisfy. What he dreamed of was going home and being a female again but that was not possible. Not without finding that man and only the Gods knew when he would find them. Besides, he would also need to find his body which was running around with the soul of the man from his current body. It was simply a strange issue to put it plainly. He had other yearnings though. Ones that were more obtainable. He often had Hadrian on his mind. He found it hard not to think about the tall mage without getting a fit of butterflies in his stomach. He wanted to be closer to him. Granted, Kendall's desires were not things of great importance but they mattered greatly to him. Due to the fact they were at Kova's Well the longing for Hadrian was only stronger. This was where they had met.

Kendall offered a kind smile as he pulled his hand back from the handshake. "It is nice to meet you Ageru." The man was so quiet. Kendall was not sure what else to say to him. "So what did you think of the story? My mother used to tell it to me a lot." He tried not to think back to his mother. Her memory pained him the most.

[Kova's Well] Well, That's a Deep Subject (Ageru)

Postby Ageru on April 17th, 2011, 3:50 pm

Having been a bit curious from the start about the well, and its importance here the story was well appreciated. He just loved stories, and they were endlessly interesting. One just has to love a great story teller, and although Ken tried he wasn't the best, but it was a good try and something that he respected. Though Ageru can't really judge not being much of a storyteller himself, he just politely listened eyes fixed on the man and absorbed every word of the story.

A well dedicated to a lost queen, killed because she already had a lover. It was a story and he smiled a little down at the well, now having the information, he gained a new respect for this old well. "Have you ever seen the apparition?" He asked, just curious if there was personal experience to back up such wild claims. It would be great and marvelous to see her, a long dead queen, and he began to wonder if the rumors were really true. His curious, knowledge-hungry eyes kept on him. If his look itself could acquire knowledge he sure would try to use that power, but alas, no such thing exists in his world, and the only power he thinks is special about him is the mark the goddess gave him.

If he could he would have shivered at the touch of the other and of the glimpses of wants that he got, but only a small taste. He still wasn't used to it, and sometimes it was hard to understand, but what was always clear was the object of the want, and not necessarily the want itself. In Kens case it was obvious that he desired a person, a man to more exact, but other details were fuzzy, blurry and therefore he would be unable to tell who exactly it was. It was comparable to seeing a silhouette in a sense, incomplete and lacking of any real detail, but still... A glimpse was enough to bring a smile, a sly grin to his face.

Letting go of the hand he nodded to him, "Yes, its very nice to meet you." he almost laughed as he rested his elbows on the edge of the well, leaning on it while resting his face in his hands as if bored, but that was the farthest thing from the truth, "So..." he started, his cat-like eyes having never broken contact with his 'victim', "who is he?" He grinned at him. He knew the best way to get answers to his questions was to ask directly, something he wasn't used to, but he could practice. He was much better at dancing around a subject, vaguely mentioning them, slowly digging for answers, but this approach was much faster.

He watched the man for a reaction, "Common, you know," there was a slight pause as if he was thinking about the best way to say the next line, "the one who you want to be close to." he knew that he probably was overstepping his boundaries with this person, but it all came down to curiosity and the want, the need to get his questions answered. He was always curious, and this subject was too good to just let drop. In fact when it came to attraction Ageru wasn't too sure about himself. He was always satisfying the need of the mark, and not that he minded, it felt so good fulfilling others desires, and taking them on himself. He guessed the mark changed him...

But one thing that confused the cat was it seemed he wasn't asking the questions just to fulfill his own curiosity. He needed a clearer picture of who it was so he could... so he could perhaps help this man obtain the object of his desires. Therefore fulfilling his own selfish need of feeling the pleasure of helping Ken get what he so wants.

[Kova's Well] Well, That's a Deep Subject (Ageru)

Postby Kendall Saarinen on April 17th, 2011, 10:44 pm

Mismatched eyes glanced at the well a bit sorrowfully. "I haven't seen her. Sadly I do not have enough money to spare to throw into the well or I would have." He wanted to see her. He wanted to see the woman who Ivak fought so hard for. "Maybe someday when I have more mizas to spend."

The cat-like man's smile was a little unnerving to Kendall. He did not think he story was good enough to deserve a grin. Although, the grin seemed a little more cynical than one of simple satisfaction with a story. Kendall was a little uncomfortable looking into those feline eyes. It was as if the man could see through him. He chill ran down his spine as the man asked asked "who is he?" He? What did Ageru mean, he? Kendall smiled awkwardly at the man. "I am afraid I don't know what you are talking about." Did the man know about the man who had attacked him in Zeltiva? It was different though. The man spoke again, narrowing down who he could have been talking about. He wanted to know of the man Kendall wanted to be close to. How would the man even know that Kendall wanted to be close to someone? "I... I don't know what you mean." The man couldn't have known about his attraction to Hadrian. He kept it locked up safely inside of him. "I think that is a bit of a deep question to pose on someone after just meeting them." He really just wanted to keep the answer a secret. He barely knew this man and he was not going to tell him about his thoughts of Hadrian.

He had to change the subject. If he could get the feline man to switch topics maybe he could save himself. "So, I am new in town. Is there anywhere you think that is worth seeing before I move on?" It was a weak question but he was flustered. He would not let anyone know these thoughts that he kept locked up inside him. Not even Cathan would get to know them.
