Bolivar thought the arrows imbedded into him was reason enough to assume that the fight was over. This was a very novice mistake on his part as he turned away from Kiizar as the Knights approached. Too often people would turn away from their opponents, not thinking that in the heat of the moment that their aggresors would probably try to go for one more slice. Usually after that defining stroke, it truely was over.
However this wasn't the case. Luckily there was a small group of knights watching Bolivar as he turned just in time to see Kiizar already impaled by the force of nearly half a dozen arrows. The scene was disturbing enough as Bolivar watched, not noticing the axe still flying haphazardly in the air. He involuntarily ducked to the left, a moment late getting clipped by the handle of the axe before it spun away from him landing on the ground a few meters behind him. The force of the impact was enough to have Bolivar lurch to side before falling on the ground favoring one side. The arrow on his shoulder sent out another pulse of pain as he fell causing him to wince in pain before letting out a muffled exasperation of pain. He looked up to see what happened to Kiizar to cause him to drop his weapon.
He watched glumly as Kiizar fell dead, raising his unharmed arm over his head to cover his face in disgust. In truth he really didn't expect the sudden display of emotion from the pure Izurian, especially in front of these... these... phyk- ...humans he thought, struggling not to curse in his anger. He was to be better trained for that and he had to show that he was willing to put aside their differences, especially now. He knew that the lawmen in the area were pretty stern, but corrupt they were not. True they might have struck at him in confusion and killed his countryman but they done so in accordance with their laws, something that Bolivar had to face as well.
"...You surprised us there," he said as the knights approached, he adopted an air of suspicion in effect to the events that transpired. He looked for his weapon that used to be in his hand but let out a mew of pain as he realized he lost it. He then remembered that he dropped the sword in the grass besides them as he was hit by the axe handle, he barely had enough strength left to hold it up with one hand and the sudden movement caused it to tip over and fall harmlessly into the ground. Bolivar watched as the knights approached, leaving no time for him to even take a step to retrieve his weapon. In truth he really was surprised by the first actions that the knights did, a bit relieved at the second action but shocked nonetheless. "I don't suppose your here to talk pleasantries, ...sir" he spoke clearly. Obviously he did something that they didn't approve of, but whether they'll condone him on a mere ...misunderstanding he wasn't too sure of. He put his arm down to look upon them face on, perhaps an honest look is what is needed now more then ever.
He took a deep breath and swallowed, trying to keep his dry throat down. Of course being of the military faction of the Izurians had it's benefits of training but he still wasn't that experienced of a campaigner to shrug off close calls like that. He tried to assume a more or less upright position as he waited for the lead knight to address them. "So...what seems to be the problem? Or rather, what was the problem before my brethern intervened?" he asked, finding a sudden interest in the scenery behind the knight before he looked back at them. Bolivar felt the constant boreing pain in his arm and shoulder as he tried to keep a straight face, still wary of the archers up on the ramparts. Eventually he dropped the humble act as he finally spoke in a hurried tone "Hey can we hurry this up? I'm not really looking for any trouble other then a somewhat heated spar, which ...you apparently condone. So let's just get on with it" he said glumly, a bit worried about what actions the knights might do. Even now a worm of doubt started to form in his stomach, leading him to think that the squire might have planned for this.
