Lunchtime! (Joker, open)

89th day of Spring, lunchtime.

It was a warm spring day, the type of day people spent frolicking in the sun. Flick would have frolicked. It was here forte. But since her night on the beach with the handsome and charming Dimitri, Flick hadn't wanted to frolick alone. Wandering the streets, foxy form in full swing, the kelvic sniffed around for the familiar scent of the squire, he wasn't at the inn, and he wasn't at the stables. It was useless, and she couldn't hear a thing with all this racket.

Slipping down a familiar side alley, the girl shifted and pulled on her white dress. Pulling her fingers through her hair, the blonde pouted to herself. Well, at least she should eat.

Walking into the crowd, the kelvic began to search for something tasty. There were stalls in the market selling tidbits, but the girl couldn't decide. And so she wandered, led by her nose.

Lunchtime! (Joker, open)

Postby Jokor on April 18th, 2011, 11:47 am

Jokor walked through the cramped corridor with an annoyed expression on his face, the warm spring day doing nothing to ease his foul mood. While most people from outside of syliras got a bit depressed or had the feeling that the walls where closing in on them, though that was probably also souring his mood it wasn't the sole reason why he was pissed, the dull rumble coming from his empty stomach signifying the second one, he was hungry. So jokor was planning to get something to eat and then laze around a bit in the sun for a while, he hadn't seen jaelyn today so he hadn't had anything else to do.

Plowing through the tick crowd jokor kept his eyes open for anything nice to eat, most of the stalls that lined walls in the bazaar didn't sell anything edible so he was in for quite a search.
As he was keeping his eyes more on the stalls then on where the petch he was going Jokor walked straight into a girl of around his height and accidentally knocked her right onto the floor. Jokor looked down at the girl with the same annoyed and irritated glare on his face before snapping at her.
"Can't you look out where the petch you are walking!? You could have knocked me to the ground as well."

Flick didn't even see the man, one face in hundreds. So when he ran full into her, it was like a whole body punch. She didn't even have time to shift, falling to the ground with a loud exhale. Laying on the cobbled street, propped on her elbows, the kelvic stared at him with wide eyes. She blinked.

"Excuse me?" The blonde stammered, looking up at him. Her small stature matched his, and a small spark of pain shifted through her as she scrambled to her feet.

"I didn't mean to..I mean..Your the one who ran into me, mostly." Definantly, she brushed off her rump and looked at her elbow. It was grazed. Looking back at the man with dark eyes, Flick frowned.

"Your not very nice." The girl mumbled.

Jokor scowled as the girl looked up to him with wide eyes, before stammering out something that first sounded like an apology but turned around to acuse him of knocking her over in the middle of the sentence. before she scrambled back onto her feet, giving him a defiant look as she brushed the sand of her.
Unfortunately for her though he heard her mumbled sentence.

He rolled his eyes at her as he scoffed at her.
"yeah I'm not a nice guy at all, you going to do something about it or just pointing out the obvious?" he growled out, his temper becoming fouler by the minute.
"So any other wisdom to dispense or you going to keep your trap shut by now?"

Lunchtime! (Joker, open)

Postby Dimitri on April 19th, 2011, 10:07 am

Dimitri was perusing through the stalls, looking for a gift for Flick. He was whistling lightly, as he looked through the many stalls. He was in his full armor, carrying his tower shield, sword on his hip. He was peering at jewelry. Would she even like Jewelry? He couldn't get just anything, however. Being a Kelvic meant he had to get something suitable for both forms. Squires made no seasonal income, so he couldn't afford much yet. But he wanted to get her something.

He liked the idea of a ring. Expensive, yes, however not totally out of his price range. However rings were inconvenient for fennec foxes and would be out of place. A bracelet seemed too impersonal. A necklace would also be fairly inconvenient. He continued wandering around, nodding at theany various Knights both stationed and patrolling. After all this was an ideal place for thieves, so security was formidable. He then saw a familiar length of blonde hair. Ah there she is. He smiled brightly, she couldn't see him, her back being turned. He saw a man talking with her and felt a small twinge of jealousy. He shook it off and started walking unseen towards her.

The kelvic narrowed her eyes at the man and did something she rarely did. She growled at him, a small sound in the back of her throat. It was only quiet, but loud enough for him to hear. Frowning at him, she shook her head.

"You know, its so silly. I've not had a single problem in this city. People are nice, and kind, to everyone. I actually figured this was the one place I could be happy again. And then there's you. What makes a person so mean anyway? I didn't even see you, in fact I was mostly standing still." A small fire had built in her belly. Flick didn't promote violence, and she never fought. But this man was just awful. He reminded her of Corvinan, the boy she was meant to be gifted to. Cruel, mean, just because they wanted to be. She could smell the anger coming off him in waves.

Lifting her chin, the blonde took a deep breath. Truth was, this type of anger scared her, but she wouldn't show it. Not here. Ever the actress, Flick let it out slowly and calmed her voice.

"Either way, I don't want to argue over it. Good day." She said flattly, making to move past the man.

Jokor raised an eyebrown when the little girl growled at her, but quickly dismissed it, the way this girl looked even he could pick her up and throw her like a stick so if she decided to attack him it would be over very quickly and in his favor.
When she began admonishing him jokor just let out a groan, thinking they where better then him just because they whispered the bad things about you behind your back or when you couldn't hear it while smiling in your face instead of just telling what the hell you thought about them.
"I ain't mean." jokor said in the same annoyed tone he had used the entire time already.
"And even if I was I don't have to explain myself to somebody else for it." His stomach growling as he walked away from the girl and continued his search for anything edible before who knows what would happen.

Lunchtime! (Joker, open)

Postby Dimitri on April 19th, 2011, 11:21 am

Dimitri walked as quietly as he could behind Flick. He saw the man look slightly but ignored the really short man. He was right behind her and bent down. "Hello there beautiful," he whispered. He then wrapped his arms around her and spun around a couple times and set her down facing him. He was beaming from ear to ear as he looked down at her beautiful face. She was just as beautiful as the day they met, awkwardly over soup by firelight.

"What are you up to today milady?" he said, now in a particularly chipper mood. Being a squire he trained for nearly twelve bells a day, so he didn't have much time to visit, but was elated to have found her once more. He hoped she didn't ask about why he was here, because he wouldn't lie to her, but didn't want to tell the truth either.

Pouting at the man as he slinked past her, Flick could only shake her head. Some people were born to be...stupidheads. Huffing, the kelvic crossed her arms, only to have a very close, very loud voice in her ear. Damn these noisy crowds, the fennec thought as she jumped in shock. Quite suddenly armour clad arms wrapped around her and the whole world spun, before she was planted in front of a smiling face. A welcome face. Her face lit up as a wide grin fell up on her lips.

"Dimitri!" The kelvic laughed, reaching up on her toed to wrap her arms around his neck and kiss him fondly on the lips. Stopping abruptly, she glanced at the crowd and quickly dropped down again. It was easy to forget he was a stoic and upstanding knightly type. Clearing her throat she smiled at him.

"What am I up to? Why actually, I was..I was looking for you. But, your training. I know, I forgot. Then this man, he was so...he knocked me over, see!" Lifting her elbow, she pointed at the graze meaningfully, dark eyes shocked. Lowering her elbow, she turned slightly.

"And my dress! See! Now I look like I rolled in the dirt! Honestly..." Her lips pouted slightly, before shifting into a smile again. She couldn't help it, being around the squire made her heart skip a beat. Her whole existance revolved around his voice. If he demanded of her, she couldn't refuse. Infact, it was something she wanted to tell him about. Since their meeting, Flick had applied for permenant housing and fretted over the bond. She knew he felt something, it showed in his eyes. But did he really understand? The fennec had avoided the subject, fearful of rejection. Biting her lower lip, the girl smiled up at him from under thick lashes.

"Do you have any plans? Or...are you busy? I thought, the sun is so nice, we could walk..together."

Lunchtime! (Joker, open)

"That man there walking away," he said nodding in the direction the man had walked. Dimitri's eyes seemed darker as he glared into the back of the man's head. He could tolerate alot, but a man should always be polite and respectful to women. Especially his woman. The glare quickly faded into a smile. His woman. While still unused to the idea he liked the way it sounded.

He looked at the graze on her arm. Nothing a few days wouldnt heal. He lifted her arm and gently kissed the injured area. "That should help, milady. As for the dress, no amount of mud could blemish your beauty." He felt sheepish after saying that. Do men really talk to women like that or is it something from fairy tales. He heard her request, and slipped his gauntlet off his right hand, and took her own soft delicate hand. "A walk would be wonderful."
