Season of Spring, Day 43, 511 AV

Jaelyn was heading towards the Temple of All Gods, as she did every few days, to spend time in prayer dedicated to Tyveth. Wearing her typical simple clothes she did not carry her sword with her today. It often proved too cumbersome while in the Temple, and it wasn't like there was often many problems to be encountered about Syliras that wasn't quickly handled by those who had reached the rank of Knight.

The sky was cloudy, hinting at the possibility of rain to come later in the day, and a decent breeze filled the courtyard with smells of the ocean. Taking a deep breath she smiled softly. Today was a pleasant day. Maybe once she was done praying she would take a horse outside the walls for a ride. While doing some training, of course.

Arriving at the Temple she proceeded inside, taking up her usual position on one of the pews towards the back as she bowed her head and began to quietly pray to Tyveth.

The Squire, the Bard, and the Scholar (Ceos, Dasthar)

***Back to The White Swan***

Ceos had only one thing in mind: Food. Fish was great and all but it wouldn't compare to a steak with some vegetables. Back to the real world, he realized he was now in an immense courtyard where the White Swan was established somewhere. Everything was so different from Kalea. Hundreds of aromas floating in the air, stimulating his senses, from the tanner's workshop strong smell to the more delicate one of the herborist's house, and all inside one huge castle. And again with the attention. Groups stopping by to comment his appearance as well as children looking up then running off after crossing these cold eyes of his.

And here it was...Ceos couldn't say if The White Swan was always that crowded like it was right now but people were drinking outside of the doors and seemed to enjoy their time. Let's hope I can have a room. He didn't want to meet his uncle, Ros Vizerian, Master of the Ironworks, just after his arrival. Making his way through the crowd without too much difficulty (people were litteraly making space for him), he crossed the doors to be assaulted with...So loud!!!. The voice of the patrons were mixing to create one, undistinct one. He shooked himself up then walked straight to the barman with a lucky prayer to Izurdin as he was about to engage conversation.

The Squire, the Bard, and the Scholar (Ceos, Dasthar)

Postby Dasthar on April 25th, 2011, 8:54 pm

Dasthar was standing at the bar and waiting for his food as he grabbed his plate he went to the only table available in the back and sat down with his ale and a bowl of the stew with bread cheese and a small bit of fruit. He looked back to the man he had seen walk up to the bar and looks at his coat confused by what he had seen and shrugs figuring if the man sat with him he would talk then but until something happened he wouldn't be to worried about it. He had come to the town hoping to get a job and help feed himself and Athos. He also wanted to learn more stories to add to his being able to actually work on his talent with hit.

All of the noise in the building was astounding and it was almost to hard to hear anything at all that was worth hearing or making a note of. He kept eating the food slowly and yawns after his long walk to and from places.

Ceos had hoped to get some information out of the barman but he simply dropped the idea when he realized how hard it was to even order a meal. After much hardships and a soring throat. He turned around to find an empty seat. Every single chair was occupied except at a small table near the back door. Unfortunately there was a man in flashy clothes comfortably eating a deliciously looking stew while looking at him with a strange look. Ceos walked straight to him and asked with his usual, unexpressive voice:

<<Can I sit here?>>...

Dasthar starts to smile and shakes his head as he sighs. He then looks back to the man and nods his acceptance of the idea of him joining them. He keeps eating slowly watching the man kind of strange to know that the person he had shown small interest in meeting had picked his table as the one to join.

"The name is Dasthar neighbor how might i be of aid?" He looks at the male not sure how to address him or even if he had a title but he knew speaking was a better idea than not speaking at all.

While waiting for a response he breaks off some of the cheese and puts it on a slice of the bread and starts to eat it.

As a response, Ceos took a book, ink and a quill out out his backpack and started sketching on its empty pages. While his tablemate was waiting for an answer, the Isur was concentrating on the drawing of a complex rune. After a couple of minutes, his own stew was served and the book was quickly put away. He had been waiting for a meal like this for ever. Suddenly realizing he hadn't even responded to that human who invited him he stopped in his motion and putted the spoon down.

<<I didn't ask for your aid, I asked for a chair. He slowly said while meeting the human's eyes. that sounded wrong, I should thank him. Huh...Thank you for sharing this table. >>..And he took another spoon...

Dasthar nods his head still slightly confused by his reaction and wondering why the male had not given his name or title in turn. He then shrugs and starts working on finishing his food. After he finishes it he smiles and leans back opening his pack and pulling out his flute and inspects it for any travel damage.

<<It's getting more and more quiet, I hope you know how to play that thing>>.
What was with him?Ceos had said more words to this man in 5 minutes than during the whole Alvadas-Syliras's trip on that ship.

What could that possibly mean? Answers will find their way sooner or later, Patience will be rewarded.
Ceos was actually quite curious of what sound the human could get out of this hollowed piece of wood.

Dasthar laughs quite loud as the room starts to quiet down some of them even looking at the flute as he pulled it out. He puts it together and shrugs as he looks at his table guest.

"Well my friend we will just have to let you see now won't we?" He walks up to the area that was prepared for him and he takes a deep breath closing his eyes and then he starts to play. From the flute pours forth a beautiful sound as people recognize the music it starts to speed up and turn into a little sea janty and the men within start to sing with it.

As people sing with the song they start to laugh and get loud again but still letting the music be heard. As the song ends Dasthar begins another and starts to play more songs as the time goes on.

Of course Ceos didn't recognize any of the songs performed by this lively fellow. As songs succeeded to one another, thoughts drifted back to Kalea. He didn't miss the Citadel and it's overly religious life but he couldn't help but feel nostalgic. The only person he knew now was this stranger, entertaining the customers. The city didn't look dangerous but he would indeed prefer to have someone to rely upon if something happened.

The Isur took his backpack, stopped at the bar to pay for his meal then crossed the doors of the The White Swan to rediscover the sun's warm touch and these everlasting aromas that would caracterize Syliras in his memory. A deep breath, and Ceos was taking the path (he tought) led to the his uncle's dear Ironworks...
