[Bronze Wood] So we meet again (Dimitri & Astrea)

Summer 6, 510 AV

Astrea was given permission from her care takers to leave the orphanage and to go have an entire day to herself and she took this advantage to advance on her archery skills. She wore her usual attire, a very simple dress, but the cloth this time was dyed a very faint blue almost like the sky above her. She was traveling through the thick woods of the Colbalt Mountains. She kept a close eye out for small animals scurrying across the forest ground, but she still felt slightly uncomfortable with killing an innocent creature. Instead she decided to use a tree as her target as she usually did.

She found a nice large sturdy tree and then placed her satchel down on the ground and then took one arrow from her bag and then backed up a few feet. She armed her bow with the arrow and then pulled one elbow back pulling the string of the bow as far as she could. She focused mainly on the tree trying to find the center of the trunk with the tip of her arrow and then she let the arrow go. The arrow flew through the air perfectly, but unfortunately Astrea didn’t put enough strength into the shot so instead of piercing the tree it fell straight into the ground.

Astrea looked down at the arrow sticking out of the ground with displeasure. Out of aggravation Astrea sat down on the soft grassy ground and put her bow aside. She leaned all the way back so that she was lying down on her back and she stared up at the tops of the trees and the clear blue sky. It was fairly warm today, but she didn’t mind since there was still a soft gust of wind to keep her moderately cool. She let out a soft sigh taking in the idyllic scenery around her, mostly the clear blue sky, and then closed her eyes to relax. It felt good to get out of the orphanage and out in the outdoors. She liked the fresh smell of summer that surrounded the woods around her, today truly was a perfect day.

[Bronze Wood] So we meet again (Dimitri & Astrea)

Postby Dimitri on May 5th, 2011, 5:06 am

Dimitri was out today looking for some more challenging bow practice. He was looking for smaller quicker animals. He had his bow in hand and quiver on his right hip. Just for safe measure he also brought his sword hanging from his right hip. He walked out the gates, giving his customary nod to the guards. He walked east into the woods, and began to move quietly. His tan, floppy, soft leather boots moved silently over the ground, occasionally snapping a twig or hitting a pile of crunchy leaves. His sneakiness was more than a little lacking but he figured the occasional slip up would spook an animal. He continued to slowly creep forward, crouched, peering over occasional dips and rises in the earth. He didn't see anything other than birds, and he knew he wasn't skilled enough to hit those yet. He was looking more for rabbits, skunks, foxes, etc.

He rounded a tree, when he heard the sharp twang of a bow string followed by a nearby thud of what he suspected was the arrow hitting dirt. He crept in a sweeping semi circle when he saw the shooter was the blonde girl he had met in the rain not too long ago. His stomach dropped after he remembered how he had left her. He knew he wouldn't be well received... But his honor as a Knight required him to seek repentance. That and she was no less beautiful than she had been the other day. He watched her lay down, and he had an idea. He nocked his bow and aimed at the tree just beyond where she lay. He figured the tree was the one she had been aiming for. He pulled the feathers back to his ear and lined up the shot. He breathed in deeply, held it as he fine tuned his aim, and let the breath out. As the breath escaped his lungs, the arrow was released. It flew true, thudding into the trunk of the tree. He stood there, arms now crossed a smile adorning his face. "Need some assistance?"

[Bronze Wood] So we meet again (Dimitri & Astrea)

Postby Astrea Rose Griffin on May 5th, 2011, 8:11 pm

Astrea suddenly heard the sound of an arrow zooming above her and then impaling into the tree. She quickly looked up at the tree and saw the arrow jutting out of the center of the tree and then she heard a familiar voice from behind her. She quickly sat up and then turned her torso around to see who it was, and sure enough it was the man she had met at the springs about a week ago. “Dimitri?” She said with astonishment. “I didn’t think I would see you again.” She said honestly standing up off the forest ground and fixing her light blue skirts. She remembered their time at the springs, the rain falling around them, the sound of the rain against the wood of the bridge, and the kiss…the kiss that had turned her world completely around. As these memories returned to her a light blush crept onto her soft cheeks which she tried to conceal with her blonde hair, but was not successful.

[Bronze Wood] So we meet again (Dimitri & Astrea)

Postby Dimitri on May 16th, 2011, 7:31 pm

Dimitri saw her her rise, her face flushing red, visible at even this distance. He smiled lightly at her, as he made his way toward her. "I'm just full of surprises aren't I?" He made his way to her confidently. As he passed a bush, his hand snaked behind his back inconspicuously, and plucked a bright orange and pink flower, and kept it hidden behind his back. "I would like to apologize for the other day. I'm... Bad with emotions that feel so good, and with someone so beautiful."

He continued in his confident stride until he was standing before her. He held the stem of the flower in his fingers, so it was hidden by the back of his hand. His hand moved up and gently moved the hair from her blushing face, and as he did he slipped the flower behind her ear, pinning the blonde locks back. He smiled, "Allow me to make it up to you? I could teach you to shoot, or perhaps, something else?" His smile was genuine despite being guided by his youthful lust. She was quite a beauty. And she didn't seem upset at his sudden departure from their last meeting.

[Bronze Wood] So we meet again (Dimitri & Astrea)

Postby Astrea Rose Griffin on May 17th, 2011, 1:15 am

Astrea’s blushes depend as he tucked a flower behind her ear and brushed her golden blond hair from her face. No doubt he was handsome and he knew what he was doing when it came to girls and naturally Astrea was very week against his flattering charm, but she found him to be too perfect. After all he had left her all alone at the springs and gave her no message. Now he decides to suddenly show up and show more affection towards her. “Wait a minute.” She said backing up a bit making his warm soft tantalizing hand leave her cheek. “You are apologizing for leaving me at the springs, but how can I trust you?” She asked looking at him with her burning golden eyes. “How do I know that you are not just going to walk away again without a word? After all we only met each other once and you hardly even know me.”

She couldn’t find herself to trust him just yet, though he still did flatter her a lot and caught her attention, but she couldn’t be so naïve and give in to him so easily. She had to be strong. “Now for the offer of helping me learn how to shoot, that would be greatly appreciated. I have had this bow since they day I arrived at the orphanage and all I know are the basics. I am not necessarily good at aiming yet since I have been trying to teach myself, but it is no good when you don’t know what you are doing.” She explained as she bent down to pick up her bow and arrow. She left the flower in her hair that almost seemed to completely match her warm natural tan from being in the sun for so long and her golden features, mainly her hair and eyes.
