Season of Spring, Day 30, 511 AV

The day had been going well so far for Jokor at the Welcome Center. A few little errands to fetch some little things, food for lunch, or some needed supplies, and it was getting towards evening outside, the shadows outside growing long as Syna lowered in the sky. Almost the time that they usually dismissed him for the night.

"Hey Jokor," one of the girls called out as she waved him over with a smile, "I've got an errand for you. Would you mind taking a package up to the Temple of All Gods? You know where it is, right?"

Producing a cloth wrapped package from a pack on the floor she offered it to Jokor, "I was planning on taking it there myself, but today has just been too busy. It needs to be to Morian before the end of the day, so I need you to do it quickly, ok?"

When Jokor took the package he would find it somewhat weighty, but not terribly unexpected for the size of it. Judging by the size, shape, and bulk of it it seemed to resemble some of the larger books that were scattered about the Welcome Center.

"Now don't open it, ok? Just run it up there and hurry on back. Shouldn't take you more than thirty chimes at most. Thanks!" the woman smiled and patted Jokor on the head fondly before turning her attention back to her work.

Jokor sat one one of the chairs looking through one of the windows a the descending Syna the sky slowly darkening as she made the way for leth. Also more importantly for jokor it signified that his job for today was almost over and that he could go home in a few.
His hope on a event less few minutes didn't come true though when one of the women working in the center yelled his name to get his attention. Turning towards the woman that was waving at him Jokor arched an eyebrow. Grinning at her when she asked him if he could do a little errand for her.
“Sure that’s what I get paid for after all ain't it.” Hopping out of his chair he walked over to the woman taking the package she held out to him,
When she asked him if he knew where the temple of gods was he could only shake his head.
“Not really a worshiping person so I can't say I do.” he replied as he shoved the package underneath his arm, judging from the weight and the shape that he felt underneath the cloth that it was probably a book Though why he wouldn't get to open it as beyond him, still he knew better then to ask questions it wasn't his bussines anyway.
“yeah, yeah, If you tell me where that temple is I'll get it there before syna gives her place to leth and I won't open it, but if it gets me arrested don't expect me to keep your name a secret.” Jokor said the last part with a wide grin on his face, obviously enjoying his own joke.

The girl gave a little chuckle at Jokor's joke, and turned from her work again to reach out a hand to ruffle his hair, "I promise, it won't get you in any trouble. The Temple is near the Stone Gardens, east side of Jordon district. It's the place with the giant colored windows. Hard to miss really."

With that the girl waved her hand at Jokor with a smile, "Now shoo! You won't get anything done standing around and making jokes. Remember, it's going to Morian. He shouldn't be hard to find in the Temple."

With that the girl returned to her work once again, clearly trusting to Jokor to take care of the task. Through the windows of the Welcome Center Jokor could see that much of the crowds normally traveling around the Main Gate were thinning out as people started to head home for the evening.

Jokor nodded when the girl gave him the directions to the temple of all gods.
"Right so its near the gardens and to the south of the jordon district, I can find that." He grinned again when the girl gave him a goodhearted jab at his joke.
"Fine fine, I'll get this package to that morian guy." He called after her as she went back to her work. shoving the package a bit more securely under his arm as he walked out of the door.
Taking a moment to remember where the jordon district and the gardens where from this point out before breaking out in a run, weaving through the thinning evening crowd with an ease that suggested he had done many times before.

After a few chimes of running through the corridors of syliras The exit to the outsides of the citadel came into his sight.
"Well Looks like 30 chimes was way more then I needed." Jokor muttered to himself as he slowed down a bit, his breathing still fairly even even though he had run for quite a distance for such a short amount of time.

Jokor's path through the crowds was easy enough thanks to his experience, but as he got closer to Jordon district he started to get the feeling that he was being watched. It was an odd feeling, as anyone who would be watching him would have to be running, sticking out like a sore thumb in the process, but no one else he had seen had been running through the corridors.

As Jokor came to the end of the corridor, where it opened to the courtyard containing Kova's Wishing Well and the Stone Gardens, the relative silence of his trip so far was interrupted by a female voice calling out, "Hey there, boy, where are you going in such a hurry?"

From the shadows next to the exit stepped a young woman that most likely was not much older than Jokor, despite the fact that she was almost a foot taller than him. She gazed at Jokor with bright blue eyes that were framed by an smooth, pleasant, and golden skinned face encircled by blond hair that fell about her shoulders. Her clothes were tight, showing off her very feminine curves, and revealed fair amounts of skin, including a good view of her respectable cleavage.

Her deep red lips smiled pleasantly as she approached Jokor with a rather sultry walk that swayed her body pleasingly with each step, her hand held out towards him as if to accept the package he carried, "Can I take a look at what you have there? I promise I won't get you in trouble, and you can trust me," giving Jokor a flirty wink as she offered her assurances.

Special Delivery (Jokor)

Jokor narrowed his eyes when he could almost feel somebody's eyes on burning into the back of his head, suspiciously eyeing his surroundings as he walked towards the door. Getting agitated at the fact that he couldn't spot his follower, was he going insane or something?
When he suddenly heard a female voice calling out to him he looked towards it. Narrowing his eyes in both irritation and suspicion.
"I gotta package to deliver quickly so of course I'm in a damn hurry." he snapped back to her, channeling his djed towards his eyes, the by now familiar auras snapping back into place, hoping to see what the hell she was trying to pull.

When the woman asked if she could take a look at the package he was carrying Jokor's face fell into a scowl. Answering her outstretched hand with a rude gesture with his free hand that would have earned him a slap or two from Jaelyn if she was there with him.
"Maybe most people living here are stupid enough to trust any stranger that just walks up to them, but I ain't! Now take a hike!" Turning back towards the door, using his auristics to try and keep an eye on the woman her aura easily seen between the more muted ones of the deserted street, fully intent on getting this book only to Mordin and nobody else.

oocJokor has not a lot of auristic's experience so he won't find out a lot about her emotions, maybe get an inkling about her motives at best.

"Now, no need to be so grumpy," the woman replied with a smile to Jokor's snappy reaction, crouching down a little so she was more even with his height, "It was just a simple question."

Using his little training in Auristics Jokor could tell that the young woman's emotions were very light. Possibly playful or teasing. There was a very faint undercurrent, but it wasn't strong enough for him to figure out what was really there.

At Jokor's rude gesture the woman laughed and shook her head, and then stood there as Jokor turned and continued on his way across the courtyard that housed Kova's Well. With his Auristics he could hear a faint jumble of noises that seemed to be tied to the woman's aura. It slowly grew softer as he walked away, and then vanished completely before coming back loudly to his left.

"Jaelyn is right," the woman said with a mischievous grin as she stepped out of the shadows to Jokor's left, "You really could use some better manners Jokor. I'm surprised though, I would have thought you'd be just as curious about what's in the package as me."

Jokor had heard no sound of footsteps, nor rustle of clothes before the woman stepped out of the shadows. It was like she had just appeared there from where he had last seen her.

As jokor made his way across the field the womans words did play through his mind, what was exactly in the package, though the fact that there was something very strange coming from the woman's aura was overriding his curiousity for the moment. He let out a sigh of relief though when her aura faded as he walked away from her until it completely vanished from his sense.
Holding up the packaged book so that he could get a closer look at it, as he was almost completely sure that nobody was around, he didn't see any auras aside from the muted plants and bricks. A few short flares of colors signifying birds or some other kind of animal but no smart things around as far as he could sense. Ballancing the package on his right arm, he carefully looked at the knot, trying to figure out how it was put together before carefully prying the knot open and began to unpacking the top of the package, hoping to see what book was such a secret that he wasn't allowed to have a peek inside. Of course he madesure to remember how it was packed to begin with to make sure mordin didn't figure out that he had taken a peek.
Moments after he pulled the top of the canvas of the woman's aura suddenly reappeared in the shadows, as quick as he could he pulled the cloth back over the package and held it so that the tampered part of the package wouldn't be that obvious.

“How in the name of Kelwyn did you get here!” Jokor blurted out as he jumped back. His narrowed at her. He might not be that good with auristics yet but he should have seen her coming or at least have heard her footsteps! His mind quickly sifting through possibilities that he thought could be the reason. Landing on a single conclusion, she was a mage of some sorth. Though that still didn't help him a lot, he only knew about magic what hadrian told him of it and he got the expression that there was a lot more to magic then that!
“Besides who are you to talk about manners! Last time I checked them sneaking up on people and trying to stick your nose in their bussines was also bad manners!” Jokor bit out, trying to shift the package out of her direct view as subtly as he could when she hit it the nail on the head about him being curious about it.

The knot holding the wrapping on the book was simple enough, as was the wrapping itself, and Jokor managed to catch a glimpse of the title before he hastily tried to cover up his actions, "A Disser..."

The woman gave a laugh at Jokor's reaction, shaking her head slightly in her amusement before giving Jokor a flirty wink, "That's a secret Jokor, and you should know ladies don't give up their secrets. I'm sure Jaelyn hasn't told you any of hers."

At Jokor's attempt to try and turn her comment about manners around the woman just laughed again, and then crouched down once more so the exposed upper skin of her breasts was even with his line of sight, "I was just talking about your rude gesture Jokor. I'm not like Jaelyn, you see, I don't think there's anything wrong with being a little sneaky and curious, and I certainly don't have a large stick rammed up my backside like her. That's why I decided to talk to you instead of just taking a peak in the book myself. I figured you'd want to know too. And if not," she leaned a little forward as her voice took on a softer and more sultry tone, "I'm sure we can work out some other exchange in return for you letting me have just a little peak at that book."

Special Delivery (Jokor)

Postby Jokor on May 10th, 2011, 9:32 pm

Jokor just snorted irritably at her explanation why she didn't want to say how she got there in the shadow without him noticing, though her speaking about how jaelyn hasn't told her any of hers didn't hit her intended mark.
“As if somebody needs to tell me their secrets for me to find them if I want them. I can get my hands on them on my own if I take my time for it.” Jokor shot back to the woman still a bit peeved not only about her sneaking up on him, but also for the fact that she almost caught him trying to sneak a peak in the package he was carrying.
When the woman laughed at him for his comment about her manners crouching down till the right height so that the exposed skin of her breasts was more or less even with his line of sight. A slight blush coming on Jokor's face as she did so. Causing him to quickly tear his eyes away from her breasts and him looking towards her face, doing his best to pull a serious face despite the blush on it.

Then suddenly as she began to talk again and once again mentioned Jaelyn's something clicked. He never did tell her ever tell Jaelyn's name, and now that he thought about it, didn't she call him by his name only a few moments earlier while he never introduced himself. Just when she leaned closer towards him and made her offer he jumped backwards and gave her a suspicious stare, though thanks to the blush that was still present on his face it was rather humorous.

“As if you could ever take the damn book from me if I had anything to say about it, besides why should I ever do something for some stranger who knows my name without that I even introduced myself and knows how somebody I know acts around me, I think even a little kid would know that would be a bad idea.” He tightened his grip on the package. “So I highly doubt we can just work something out, unless that something includes you spilling your guts about how you knew that.”

While he said that he focused his auristic vission on the womans aura, now really trying to figure out what that faint underlying pulse meant, channeling some more djed into his eyes to get a better focus on her aura and try to pour out some more information.
