Lake Ravok

Ren ran(In wolf form) along the edge of the glistening lake Rovak, his eyes skimming over the lake in search of Reaver's floating shack that always seemed to be in a different spot everytime Ren tried to find it.
Ren had been practicing the animation technique ever since he had learn the art. Countless time he had tried it over the last few days with litte to know headwya, he just couldn't get his creation to function correctly. All he knew was that he had to practice, practice, practice and then at the least his creation would be able to substain.

As Ren came close to halfway around he began to notice that it was starting to get darker and the sky became a dark orange red color. Ren began to feel tired and his running transformed into a fast trot with his canine tounge hanging out the side of his mouth, keeping hims nice and cool as he continued on.

Magic, A Magical Subject (Reaver)

Postby Reaver on May 19th, 2011, 6:43 am

Reaver once again found himself afloat today. It was an interesting day, but nothing of importance had managed to happen. Due to some inconvenience involving someone with more money then him, he was set adrift today, deeming his 'prime' spot was too good for him. He contemplated how hard it would be to send that boat adrift, and if it would be worth doing so regularly. As his house was once again drifting along, he decided it might be a fun trip to just stay out for a while, not head right back to the city and it's problems. How long has it been sense he's taken time off?

As he stared twords the slowly approaching shore, lost in thought, he noticed something moving along the beach. He strained his eyes a bit, and noticed it was somewhat small, white, and running on all fours. "Couldn't be..." He went back inside a moment, checked his calender. "So it is." Making his way back outside, he moved his boat along to the shore. He used what was left of the ropes that held it to the city to keep it there, or at least he hoped so.

Reaver waited, he was a good ways down the shore, but there shouldn't be anything stopping Ren from getting here now. He waved as Ren got close enough for Reaver to start making out details, as that way Reaver was sure it was the right wolf. He would wait on his house, as he was in no hurry at all.

Ren Tanor

A boat started to drift closer, not a boat......Reaver. As Reavers "house boat" continued closer until it was close enough that Ren could leap to it in one quick bound.

Ren contiued torwards the edge of the water, careful not to touch any of it. Reaver started to come into full view, and he began to wave him over torwards his boat.

Ren took a few steps backwards, before taking a running strt and leaping torwards the boat all in one swift movement. As Ren's paws touched the wooden base of Reavers house, the whole floating structure lurched causing Ren to slip off in the water. Ren sat in waist deep water, his fur matted and soaked

Reaver watched the Kelvic critter with curiosity. The wolf, lept to the boat. Reaver lost his footing and fell inside, but the splash confirmed he wasn't the only one to fall. Standing and dusting himself off, he walked back out of the door. "My house needs better manners, I think. So, what will I be learning today?" Reaver looked about the water to see how Ren was doing, and perhaps lend a helping hand.

Ren Tanor

Ren wagged his tail at the sight of Reaver's hysterical fall. As Ren stepped up onto the base platform of Reaver's house (careful not to make it lurch again) he shifted into his human form causing the boat to lurch again from the sudden change of weight, but balanced after a few seconds.

Ren sat upright on the wodden floor of Reaver's house grinning at what he had caused. "Tracking or hunting your choice" he said in a giggilish tone. Repressing the laughter for as long as he could, he let out a shrill laugh as he rocked back and forth, Before returning back to a stern state for the buisness at hand.

"Tracking, then. I might use that." Reaver was more prepared for the following unbalances to his ship, and kept his footing. "What are the basics of tracking, then? What should I know before I start?"

Ren cleared his throat. "Every living creature leaves a trail, may it be obvious or not. When these disturnances in a enviorment are identified they put you on a potential trail whether its the right one or not, we will get into that later. Any questions before we continue" Ren asked.

Reaver will ponder the reply. "I asked them, actually." He looked to Ren, ready to attempt learning of his own.

Ren nodded his head and inhaled a deep breath.
"Well these could be almost anything, a footprint, flattened grass, broken branches. Even if they try to hide it there is always a trail in some form."

(Sorry I havn't replied for a couple of days I'm a little short on time this week)

Ren began feel a slight tinge of pain in his ear, the hole that had been pierced by the buck that wasn't healed yet. Ren raised his hand to his earlobe and began to rub it.

"Stop rubbing your ear. You don't want the wound to open again. Alright, next question. What can I track?"
