Not found on any map, Endrykas is a large migrating tent city wherein the horseclans of Cyphrus gather to trade and exchange information. [Lore]

Eda dragged Conrad by the hand through the tents of the Drykas city. She hurried, wanting to get her arm and his leg sewed up before they were both drained completely of their blood, yet being concious and caring of Conrad's wound in his thigh. It was okay for Eda, she just had one flimsy little wound on her arm. Okay, so it wasn't exactly flimsy and little, it was more absolutely disgusting and painful, but no one needed to know that. Except maybe Denen.
She glanced back at the limping Conrad, who she was dragging by the wrist. "You okay back there?" She stopped walking so quickly for a minute or two, wanting his pain to be minimal. "We'll be there soon. I've never met Denen, but my cousin Yartree has." She paused to see if Conrad was okay, he wasn't lying on the floor dead or anything. "Anyway, he fell off his horse because he's a stupid person. Ended up breaking his arm, Denen fixed it." Eda laughed at the thought of Yartree's reaction if he ever found out she told anyone else. Yartree liked to tell everyone he had been tugged off the horse by three angry Zith, who broke his arm. He had then managed to kill the Zith - with his sword in his left hand. Eda was shocked people believed the man.
Once Conrad gave her the okay, she grabbed his hand and pulled him the last couple of minutes. "Left here.... left again.... straight and right." Eda stopped in front of a smallish looking tent and swallowed awkwardly. Looking at Conrad, she stepped up to the tent flap. "Uh, hello? Is anyone there? Denen Brokensong?" She walked forward to the tent flap, peeking her head inside. "Hello?" |

Conrad limped as fast as he could, trying to keep up with edalene that was dragging him towards a doctor that could help them treat these wounds right, though he hoped they would arrive sooner then later, he already was feeling a bit lightheaded from the blood he lost on the way here. He let out a little chuckle, at least he could use droplets of blood to find the way to the doc as long as endrykas didn't move, which wasn't very long. The chuckle did earn him a look from his parrot though, the poor bird was probably thinking his master was going insane.
he gave a strained smile at edalene when she looked back at him and asked how he was holding up. "I'm fine at the moment," he was grateful when she stopped for a moment to let him catch his breath again. "Lets just hurry, I want this wound patched up as fast as I can, it really hurts." He couldn't help but snickering at what Edalene told him about her cousin though, the way she told it it was a bit funny. And if that denen person could fix a broken arm he would be able to fix his leg, at least he hoped he could. As soon as he completed that tought he was grabbed and pulled along once again, though it only lasted a few minutes before they came to a stop before a small tent. Conrad politely waited when edaline looked inside the tent to see if there was anybody home. |

Denen had been sitting quietly in his tent, sorting through his bag, making sure he didn't need anything replenished from the supplies of the Whitefeather Pavilion. He needed some sort of occupation, something to keep him busy, so that he wasn't sitting by himself all the time while Sam and Dymphna went about their business. He felt relatively useless. He knew that his medicinal skills came in use, but he needed some way to bring in money, to practice when he wasn't needed to tend to Sam's scratches and cuts from whatever hairbrained scheme he got up to.
The tent flap opened, and he turned about, expecting to see Sam. A wide smile touched his lips, and his features were blissful for a moment, before he realized that he was looking upon a bloodied, rather frightened looking girl.
"Oh, gods," he signed, and he shot up to his feet, catching up his implements in the process. He hurried out of the tent and motioned for them to follow them to his tent, where all of his supplies were kept. He didn't speak, not yet, but motioned for them to sit on the furs that spread across the floor. His brows furrowed, and he motioned to the girl to come to him, groping about for his canteen. He beckoned the man to his other side, and set out bandages and herbs to help numb the areas. A quick examination, and he reached for needles and thread. |

She looked back at Conrad, smiling reassuringly, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in her arm. Turning back, she was glad to see the healer. He was cute, but now was not the time to contemplate such things. Nor was he as cute as Kayiri, but anyway...
The man signed. Petch. Yartree had been in charge of her signing lessons and so of course, he had never once turned up. She had always told her father that she knew, but in reality, she had no petching clue. How was she supposed to talk to Denen if she had no idea how to sign and he was DEAF? "Sorry, Denen..." she spoke slowly in common. "I can't sign."
She tugged Conrad into the tent that he hurried into, smiling at him, still speaking in Common. "Well, this will be interesting." Before she sat, she helped Conrad ease slowly into a sitting position, hesitatnt to hurt his leg anymore. It must be agonising him with every step he took. Once he was seated, she plonked herself down and laid her arm on her knee, underside up. The wound was an angry red and fresh blood still oozed from it. It was undeniably deep. This would hurt. Switching to Pavi, she spoke to Denen quickly for convenience. "We were shot at," she said. She failed to mention exactly why - the world did not need to know. "My wound is deeper than his, but his is on his thigh and burns when he walks. Can you heal us?" She gazed imploringly at the man. It was genuinely starting to petching KILL. |

Conrad let out a relieved sigh when a young woman opened up the flap of the tent and made a few signs with her hands before motioning them inside, Conrad followed edalene inside, though other people would probably say he was more tugged inside then anything else, and slowly sat down with some help from edalene. "Interesting?" Conrad didn't like the way she used that word in this situation. "Please tell me that there isn't anything wrong right now." He said with an irritated tone behind his words. "I don't think our wounds can wait that much, I mean I patched your wound up more or less, but I don't want to drop my pants when two women are in the same room for anything less then professional care." Conrad said. His parrot at the while was a bit overwhelmed by the new things he was seeing in the tent and got an urge to explore and he did just that. hopping of his boss shoulder and taking momentarily flight to a few bags there where lying in a corner of the tent. |

((I'm so sorry for the delay, guys.))
Denen's face was stern, direct, as Edalene spoke. He sucked on his lower lip, and glanced to Conrad, a foreigner, whose mouth was forming words he couldn't understand. He looked to Edalene for clarification. He could read her lips just fine, and write if he needed to.
"I...I c-can...I can...take care. B-But...But...he needs to take his pants off." His cheeks flushed, eyes turning up to Conrad for a moment. His voice marked him as male, though it was soft and timid, especially in the presence of a stranger. Denen was comfortable around fellow Drykas, but this was different. That, and there was a frightening bird in the tent. It looked like a mini-glassbeak.
"S-Stay...Stay sitting...I w-w-w-w-will clean y-your wounds." He rose, saying this, and moved to fetch the bucket he had collected that morning. This he carried back into the tent, careful to keep from sloshing it all over the ground, and then reached for a freshly washed rag. He pointed at Conrad, his expression neutral as he gestured for him to drop his pants. |

Eda sighed, realising how she would be the middle ground between the impetuous Conrad and the healer Drykas. It would be trying to constantly switch in between Pavi and Common, and surely it would test her ability in the second language. She would have to speak slowly, too, in order for Denen to catch everything she said. She really regretted not learning any sign, now.
Eda looked helplessly at Denen when he looked back at her. "He says you're amazing and stunning and a great healer," she said, in Pavi, blushing. She didn't really want to let him know just what the man had said, the impatience rude and embarrassing. Nor did she want him to know about the gender confusion. "Denen is a man, idiot," she hissed at Conrad in Common, embarrassed, cheeks flushed red.
Her cheeks flamed all the more as Denen went through what she needed to tell him. Oh, how she hated being a translator. "I... I have to tell him THAT?!" Eda's head began to shake automatically as she imploringly gazed at Denen. "I can't say that! That's ... that's improper!" But Denen, it seemed, was unmoved by her plight and left the room to gather supplies. She still had not gathered courage when he came back, even though he gestured to Conrad.
Eda sighed, and carefully looked anywhere but the two men in the room. It would be the first time she had ever seen ... that much on a man, and this human specimen was certainly not the one she wanted to see it on. She gulped, and in one breath, murmured out to Conrad:
"Youhavetotakeoffyourpantsandgetnakedsohecanfixyou." |

Conrad let out an embarrassed chuckle when the doctor began to speak with his voice definably male and was actually rather glad that the man didn't speak common, he didn't want to anger the man who had to put himself together again. Trying not to flinch when the girl hissed the fact that the doctor, denen as she called him, was a man towards him. “Hey he looked like a woman on first sight.” Conrad muttered back in common. Still refusing to look at denen in embarrassment.
After that denen said something in pavi and let it to edalene to translate it all, though it seemed she didn't really want to translate whatever he said the way she was growing red and trying to convince the denen of something before he left the tent. When he came back with a bucket filled with water edalene still hadn't spit out what he had to do. So denen pointed towards him and made a gesture towards him to pull his pants off. Conrad just let out a tortured sigh asn he began trying to get his pants of without putting to much stress on his wounded leg. When eda quickly murmured into his ear that he had to pull of his pants a few moments after he had begon to do so, he just rolled his eyes. “yeah I got the gesture Denen did so I knew.” |

Denen's brows furrowed as he looked up at Edalene, and a soft frown touched his plump lips. His hands rested on his curved hips, and he turned his head slightly. "Edal-lene, do y-you want...w-want him healed or not?" He was pleased to see that the strange man was listening. He lifted his gaze to Edalene, and reached for her arm as Conrad undressed. He could clean her wound first, before he mixed up a soothing salve to keep the injury from irritating. He needed to clean it before he determined if she needed stitches.
"What...What the p-petch were y-y-you doing?" He asked sternly. |

Eda shuddered and looked in the opposite direction as Conrad began to undress. She refused to look anywhere but him, embarrassed to the core. She couldn't look at that. The only time she had ever seen anything like that was a quick flash of Yartree's bits a couple of years ago, and the image stayed burned into her mind as one of the more traumatising memories of childhood. She felt the urge to turn around and poke her tongue out at him when he commented, and instead focused her eyes on Denen, feeling reprimanded.
"Of course I want him healed! I just don't want to see ... that," she shuddered as she protested, feeling disgusted by the mere thought of it. She winced as he took her arm, the pain shooting through her as he began to inspect and clean the wound. "We were ... ummm..." She couldn't finish the sentence, looking anywhere but him.
"Hey," she hissed at Conrad, still focused on Denen himself. "He wants to know what we were doing. What do I tell him?" |
