Jaelyn clenched her jaw tightly as Dimitri picked her up, determined not to cry out at the pain from her ankles as she was moved. She clasped her hands tightly together, nodding faintly against Dimitri's shoulder in agreement with what he said. She didn't trust herself to speak calmly at this point, not with the pain radiating from her ankles, and so she just focused on holding firmly to Dimitri and breathing slowly and deeply.
She'd never noticed before just how strong Dimitri's body was. It was clear he had worked and trained hard as a Squire. It showed in how he trained and the way he was handling the situation now. It was something she hadn't seen often from the other Squires, especially not from the ones she had friendships with like Dimitri.
Carefully she adjusted her position on the saddle after Dimitri got her back on her horse, grimacing slightly as she moved, and she turned her head to watch as Dimitri worked. Taking a hold of her spear as Dimitri handed it to her she opened her mouth to speak, but paused as his hand touched her leg. His touch was comforting, and brought a faint blush to her cheeks. Taking a slow breath to calm herself she gave a warm smile to Dimitri, "I will be fine Dimitri, thank you."
Jaelyn watched Dimitri with new eyes as he worked on getting his equipment gathered up. He not only was a fine Squire, but a fine young man. Maybe... she gave a small shake of her head to clear out her thoughts. She couldn't entertain such ideas now, just like with Tolby, but maybe after they were both Knights...
"You are going to make a great Knight Dimitri," Jaelyn replied to Dimitri's smile with one of her own, pushing her pain away, and she carefully held on as her horse was lead back to Syliras.
