[Flashback] Playing With a Fox (Claudia)

Season of Fall, Day 37, 509 AV

Vhanet was positively overflowing with excitement as she walked through the streets of Ahnatep on this day. Finally she had mastered her human form, and now it was time for her to go out and play with it. Wearing a simple blouse and long dress, both dark colors to compliment her hair and eyes, she wandered around looking for something fun to play with.

She wasn't hungry, and not even really that bored. She just wanted some fun. Maybe a young man to flirt with and draw off to a dark corner, or some child to "console" and send crying back to their mother. Whatever she could find at this point would be fine with her, she just wanted to find something.

She, Claudia, had been wandering about. On alley to the next. She was only six months old then. Her creamy coloured, soft textured fur was glimpsed at as she dodged around the alleys. Albeit, she was rather clumsy, thus she had toppled over a stand of some sort. She didn't even take the moment to waste looking back at whatever mess she may have made before she quickly bolted. Her four awkward paws, not yet having mastered running, gained speed once she was free of the alley. She leaped and bound.... directly into a semi-solid structure's side....

She had not been moving with enough velocity to overturn the figure, she noticed as she glanced up at what appeared to be human. She had gathered by now that looks should not be trusted and though she, Yanessavhanet, seemed incredibly pleasant and beautiful, like most women of Ahnatep, she was frightened.

She seemingly disappeared in a collision of lights to leave the form of a human in her wake.

On her hands and knees, the nude girl stared at the heated ground before Yanessavhanet's feet. Not even daring to glance upward through the mess of blonde hanging about her face that her hair was. The relatively fresh slices of her back had ripped open once more with the shift, causing crimson drips to catch the sun's rays slightly as they moved over her gently sun kissed flesh towards the ground.

She spoke, her words a twisted drawl of ignorance, since she had yet to master the language completely, but was getting there. Cracked, pale pink lips formed these soft noises... her pleas..

"S-sorry, M-mizz.. gir-rl begz furgivinezz fur hur b-bad fings..."

Something crashed into Vhanet with little warning, causing her to stumble back a couple steps, and she glared down at what had caused the problem. She caught a brief glimpse of an animal, but it was quickly replaced by a young girl in a flash of light. A kelvic then, and from the cuts on her back most likely a slave. That gave rise to all sorts of fun ideas in Vhanet's head, but some might prove to be more problematic than fun depending on who the girl's owner was.

Giving an attempt at a kind smile Vhanet offered a slim fingered hand down to the girl, "It'sss alright dear, you did no harm," her words were a little slow, she was working on hiding her accent, "Are you alright? Your back looksss painful."

Her brow furrowed, incredibly confused by the kindness she was receiving. Upon craning her neck to look upward, she noticed the hand being offered. 'A trick..' she thought, 'she'll eat me..' she believed.

Still, she had no intentions of being rude, thus wiped the grainy sand from her left hand on her thigh, before outstretching it to lightly take the female's hand in hers. She applied very little pressure to the female's hand, it was scary enough to be touching her. Rather, when she got up, most of the work was achieved by her starved lower appendages. "Fank You for foughts uv girl. she is good. Back no hurt much"

Vhanet watched the scrawny little thing stand up, interested in the fact that the girl barely touched her hand. She supposed a Kelvic slave would be jumpy around higher people, and it gave Vhanet some satisfaction that she was considered in that group. Her language was terrible though, and it took Vhanet a while to puzzle out what she was saying.

"You don't s," Vhanet cut herself off, "talk in common much, do you dear? What were you running from?" as Vhanet spoke she cast her dark eyes around, looking for anyone that might be pursuing the girl, and somewhere to walk her off to.

Spotting a nearby alley that looked empty enough Vhanet took a couple steps that direction, watching to see if the little Kelvic followed along with her.

"N-no.. girl no 'posed talk. Just obey. she no run frum anyfing. she wander new place. girl no owned no more."

Being cautious still she followed, even though she had not been asked to. She felt that she had deserved death for bumping into the woman, because surely, that is what she had in mind.

Vhanet smiled as the Kelvic followed her, and began to walk more quickly towards the little alley she had spotted. It still felt a little odd walking of feet rather than slithering along, but added fun that could come from this form was more than worth it.

Once the two of them were in the alley Vhanet turned her smile on the girl again, "You're not owned anymore? You usssed to be owned?" that was the other hard part, not using words that gave her accent away, "How did you get free? Did your Massster... make you go away?"

Claudia picked up her pace to trot slightly behind the woman. She was really shocked when the female turned to smile at her, and all of the questions. What did this woman have in mind?

"N-no.. g-girl not owned. Master uv g-girl let go. H-He waz died day avter."

Vhanet blinked at the girl as she spoke some more. It was very hard to understand her, the way she spoke making Vhanet want to slap her at least, but that would ruin the game she was playing right now. After a few breaths she thought she finally had it figured out, "Your owner let you go, and then died? Did he die for letting you go?"

It was a little easier to hide her accent with the right words, but that kept her speech slow and measured. At least she doubted this Kelvic would notice the difference. Continuing to smile kindly at the girl Vhanet reached out her hand to lightly touch her on her shoulder, "Do you have a place you can call home? A place you can ressst?"

If the girl was truly unclaimed it might be interesting for Vhanet to claim her. She'd never had a slave before, but then again she wasn't sure what she would do with a slave. Maybe have the girl help her with a sacrifice? Still, it was an interesting enough thought to bear pursuit.

She tilted her head towards the hand upon her shoulder. She seemed very pensive in the way her eyes were 'glazed over' and her movements slow. Her chest raised slightly, then collapsed upon itself, pushing air through her slackened lips in a drown out sigh. "He was sick...

no place, Ma'am... for now. girl find some where though. Perhaps, girl will leave this place."

She was making an attempt to gather all of the sounds she'd ever heard, and form them into words like her master would use. She tried to make them more intelligible. Maybe after a little bit more work, she could master this language, and every other. She realized that she was very hard to understand by the way the caring female took a few moments to piece it out.

"Girl is named Claudia... or Fii... What is Your name?"

Slow.. thought out... a start towards her goal..
