Ren reluctantly pulled his hand away from his itching ear."You can track just about anything, that walks on the ground that is. What animal in particular were you hoping to track" Ren asked?

"Humans. Especially injured ones. It would make my line of work easier." Reaver stood ready to start, already at his door and hoping to move on.

Ren saw Reaver eagerly stand by [list]the door waiting to go and try this new skill, standing up Ren led Reaver out the door and over the beach, before settling at the edge of the forest line.

"We are going to practice now by tracking a small animal, first we shall look for some tracks or giveaways of some sort."

Reaver followed to the beach, and down it. He looked to the edge of the forest, and down it's length in either direction.

"...Yes." Reaver looked around, to see if he could find some evidence of something passing through. He looked to Ren, and noticed Ren found the ground more interesting. He looked to the ground next, and found as much as he had before... nothing. "You may need to point out what I'm looking for, then."

Ren dropped to the ground, his knees creating a thud and began to search through the thick underbrush. "Here" Ren exclamed, it was a small deer print, the indention in the soil was circular and was about the size of Rens fist. "Now when you find your strting point it puts you onto a trail of other prints and giveaways you just have to look past what you can see at the moment. The deeper you search the more you find." Ren explained as he stood up.

"Here" Reaver looked at the ground, not quite sure what he was supposed to be looking at. He bent down and looked at it further. "The... mark on the ground here? How am I supposed to know which mark is which?" [i]This may be an all-day lesson.[\i]

Ren crouched back at the ground. "Well that comes from experience I still don't know them all, but it's always good to keep a notebook" Ren said as he outlined the rim of the deer print with the tip of his finger. "Here is one of the most basic categorizations, hooves or padded, this one" Ren said gesturing to the deer hoove print imprinted in the ground "is a hoove. Padded have soft padded feet which makes a imprint where you can see all the individual toes and claws." Ren stood up. "Would you like to try and find a trail again?"

"Well then, hold a moment." Reaver walked briskly to his house, and grabbed some writing supplies. Making his way back, he drew a copy of the print, and labeled it. "Might I ask what your wolf's print looks like? For my records, here."

Ren nodded his head, shortly after he shifted into his wolf form. Then he rolled over until all his feet were facing upward and his soft underbelly was exposed.

Reaver looked at the paws, then nodded. He made a small, careful drawing. He then took a paw, and guided it to the sand. Using it like a stamp, he made a print with it. He drew the resulting print near his last drawing.

Reaver will look at the other print again, just to be sure. After that, he closed the book he was writing in. "That should do nicely. Thank you. Continue, I will observe how you do it, for now."
