A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

Ren got back to a position where all of his four paws were touching the ground and then began to shake vigorously until the mixture of grainy salt and dirt was off his fur coat. Shifting back to human form he began to follow the trail guiding Reaver through the thick forest pausing every few moments to continue the trail. After about five minutes Ren stopped and turned facing Reaver.

"You can also track by more obvious trails such as mud, blood, and other more apparent things"

Ren then turned back and headed down the trail for another half mile until they came across a large clearing where a doe and buck roamed grazing in a small grazing. Triumphantly Ren turned around and gestured for Reaver to look.

Magic, A Magical Subject (Reaver)

Postby Reaver on May 24th, 2011, 4:32 am

Reaver followed very carefully, taking note of everything Ren stopped at and observed. He was somewhat frustrated at how hard it was to see the things Ren seamed to pick up on naturally. ((Sadly, he's missing that Ren IS doing it naturally.))

"You can also track by more obvious trails such as mud, blood, and other more apparent things" "Oh? And how do I observe what blood goes to what? And what might be more apparent?"

He continued along, hoping to start seeing what it was they were using to follow this thing they were following. He had few notes, and fewer useful points. As he began to worry that this art was beyond his ability, he was distracted by a new site. Ren's sudden reversal caught him off-guard, as he looked around the dirt for the tracks, Ren gestured to the clearing ahead. He looked to find they HAD been tracking something. A couple animals he'd only seen hanging dead for their meat. With all their outsides in place, he was hard-pressed to recognize them. He drew sketches of them, before asking quietly. "Those are the things we've been tracking, then? Shall we track something else then? This time, point out everything you're using to follow them. I'd like better notes this time."

3en nodded and then turned back torwards the clearing. Suddenly Ren bursted out from hiding making a loud whooping noise as his hands waving in the air, scaring both of the deers in seperate directions. He signaled for Reaver to come closer and look at the freshly made tracks.

"After you take a look at these we can track a padded animal."

Reaver once again examined the tracks. He made drawings once again, finding it much easier with fresh prints to work with. He compared this to his last drawing, and noted what they were looking for. "Alright, so after finding a print or two, how do you tell which way to look?"

"Just look at which way the front of their foot is facing, by the way do you have a vial and maybe a dagger on hand" Ren asked as he stared absentmindedly up at the gleaming twilight.

"I have ink and a needle. My ink comes in a vial, the needle can draw. Why?" Reaver continued to study the fresh tracks. The front... he made adjustments to his notes.

"Because I was going to give you a sample of my blood so you can compare and contrast withe other species and so that you can identify Kelvic blood. We might just be able to find other blood samples today too."

As Ren finished his sentece he pulled his arm up torwards his open mouth, now barring his sharp teeth and fangs, and bite softly into his arm. Ren pulled his arm torwards his lap, a small cresent shaped cut dripped blood.

"Such study is for other research, not mine. If you would like me to start, why not wait until we are once again at my house? I have other resources there, including a knife. However, even with such resources, I do not have a lab in which to study liquid components. Perhaps I need to earn some money so that I may remedy that. The best I could compare is what I see before me. Color, consistency, smell, taste, or if pressed, perhaps I could test it through some magical means. Said observations help me little. My research on human blood has little results."

Ren shrugged as he looked at the stream of blood running down his arm and onto the ground. After about three and a half minutes Ren began to lick his self inflicted wound, until only the cut in his arm was left minus the blood.

"That should do it....." Ren mumbled more to himself than to anybody else "for now at least, I will have to clean it later."
