Sira heaved again, it hurt her insides, and what was left of her dinner from the night before emptied itself into the waste bucket. It was early in the morning and Sira had not been able to sleep. She had been nauseous for some time now, and it had her worried. If it was just nausea she might think it was something else, but it wasn't the only symptom she had noticed and all things pointed to one possibility. Sira had just not been willing to admit it yet, but as she wiped her face off and rinsed her mouth the thought entered her mind again. Could it be.. I mean.. I'm usually careful but... there was that one time. Sira eventually returned to bed, crawling in next to Addy and cuddling up against her, but Sira was unable to fall asleep. You know that's it, Sira. Otherwise you would have just asked Addy to heal you..

After a while she got back out of bed and walked over to the mirror where she stayed for quite some time. Addy would likely wake up soon and when she did she would spot Sira still standing there naked in front of the mirror staring at herself, or more specifically her belly. Aidara would no see anything different about Sira's belly, though Sira imagined that she could. And then there was one difference she could definitely tell. While they hadn't grown much, her breasts did look a bit bigger. Well that's a plus anyway, and at least I'm not fat yet, Sira thought to herself. She wondered if Addy had noticed the difference. Sira may have been hiding her sickness from the Avora, but she couldn't hide those.

Sira didn't notice when Addy began to stir, so intent was she on her own reflection. She was trying to imagine what she would look like by the time fall came around, and even winter if she guessed right on the timing. I hope this doesn't get in the way of my duties... and what if Addy is angry! Oh, Priskil help me! I hope she doesn't get angry. And what about Ayren.. if I'm right should I even tell him? I mean.. he's a nice guy, but.. I'll see what Addy wants to do. Sira continued to consider her situation, still not noticing Aidara. In fact, she wouldn't notice the healer until she finally said something or otherwise did something to draw attention to herself. Whatever Addy did, Sira's reaction would be the same. Following a startled jump of surprise Sira would turn and face her love, her expression a strange mixture of excitement, nervousness, happiness, and fear all in one.

"Addy.. I think I'm pregnant."

Why....oh why.... does she always wake me like this?

Feeling rather like all the important or exciting things had to happen just as she woke up, Addy feigned sleep for a little while. Didn't people understand it was nice to go through the day waiting for that exciting thing to happen? It gave an otherwise dull day a special flavor. Addy made a mental note to explain this to her bondmate. The healers mind wasn't quite ready to process information of that magnitude the second she opened her eyes, and by the sound of Sira's voice if Addy responded in the wrong way, the Kelvic could very easily freak out.

Alright, well I'm pretty sure it's not mine. Her mental voice was sarcastic, and she sighed inwardly. She and Sira had just bonded a few months ago, and their lives had just started to settle down. Addy was completely happy with the way things were headed, but this baby meant that there were turns in the road ahead.

I wonder who the father is, or if she even knows.... Better not make that the first question. "Uh, is he going to be interfering?" Well that's not much better. Another sigh.

"I mean.... Well, I don't know what to think, truthfully. Half of me is really excited and the other half is still trying to work it out. And then there is another little part of me that is confused, and somewhere down by my toes is upset." Addy had propped herself up on her elbows now, and was gazing up into Sira's face, trying to read her feelings by the expression in her eyes. Addy was used to being able to easily hear and feel the thoughts and emotions of others. She had an empathic bond with her sister, and combining that with her Endal telepathy left her with hardly ever any time without someone else in her head. However, at this point in time, Sira remained a mystery.

"Talk to me, sweetheart." Before voicing her own feelings, Addy was going to hear Sira out. Plus, she needed time to gather her thoughts and place them into coherent sentences. Moving out from under the covers, Addy pulled the other woman down to sit with her, curling up against her side.

Flying for Two (Aidara)

Postby Sira on June 10th, 2011, 12:07 am

If Sira's mind was a mystery to Aidara it was only because their was no coherent thought present. Looking into Sira's eyes Addy would see how lost the woman truly was at that moment. If Addy listened across their telepathic connection Sira's mind was lost as well. Fear was the foremost emotion Aidara would sense, chaotic and unchecked. There was a flash, an image, a recap of the past few chimes. Sira had sensed Aidara's irritation after she had broken the news. "Uh, is he going to be interfering?" This had confused Sira, put her on the defensive. And then it flashed again, she was looking at Aidara's face. It was probably strange, seeing herself through Sira's eyes. She was speaking but the only part Sira seemed to hear, and it kept replaying over and over in her head as if on a loop, was, "..and somewhere down by my toes is upset." This went on for maybe a chime before suddenly the loop stopped and Sira's own subconscious mind began to speak.

You are such an idiot, Sira. Addy couldn't tell if Sira was transmitting this information intentionally or not, but it was the closest thing she was going to get to Sira talking to her at that moment. You should have just flown away.. killed the wolves and flown away. But no, you had to play. You had to reward him, and you didn't even like it! You knew you didn't want it before you even started, so why did you go through with it. Because he saved your life? You didn't need saving. Ayren's face flashed in her mind for an instant. Sira had told Addy all about him the day after it happened. At the time Sira had considered it no big deal, and was more excited by the fact that she had lost interest in having the open relationship they had before. Sira still didn't care if Addy slept around, but Sira had been with no man (without Addy at least) since that day. She had met Ayren in the tunnels and was bored, so she walked him back to his camp. It was shortly after the incident with the wolf and the mage, Kragoth. After leaving Ayren at his camp she was attacked by more wolves and Ayren came to her aid, breaking his vow of non-violence to save her life. Sira had been touched, she wanted to show her appreciation, so she slept with him. And now look what you have done. You've ruined everything.

But she hadn't ruined everything, had she? Aidara was still there, trying to get her to speak. Finally Sira seemed to escape the depths of her own mind, raising her eyes to meet with Addy's. Only then did she realize she had been crying, and she quickly wiped away the tears. Aidara was upset with her, but hadn't she said some other things too? That she was excited? Sira needed her to be supportive, otherwise she would sink back into despair. "Addy... what do I do? I don't know the first thing about having a child..."

OOCBleh.. Not the best post, but oh well.
Oh, and alsoThis doesn't have to be a long drawn out thread or anything. But I would like to invite Sai after we are done with our part of the conversation.

Right after she spoke, Addy knew she had said the wrong things. Now that the haze of sleep had fallen away, the small women was completely aware of what was going on between their bond.

"Sira. No I didn't mean what I said. C'mere." Though she had called for the other woman, Addy slid across the sheets and quickly closed the gap between them. Hugging Sira tight and running her hand soothingly through the kelvic's hair, Addy took the moment to think.

"I don't know much about children either. What I do know is I want to actually be there for...it..as...it...grows. Do we know the sex?" Suddenly, she looked almost excited "And I still want to know who the father is. But as far as I'm concerned, he doesn't need to know...right? I mean, we can do this ourselves. I grew up without parents, and there is no way I'm going to let my child have the same life." Green eyes flickered towards Sira's face as she said this, calling the child "hers" even though she had no part in the conception of the child. Quietly, Addy waited to see Sira's reaction to her carefully chosen wording.

Flying for Two (Aidara)

Postby Sira on June 21st, 2011, 12:16 am

Sira wrapped herself in Addy's arms, burying her tearstreaked face on Aidara's hair. She was saying good things, she was doing good things now. Hugging Sira, telling her she wants to be around. No, the father didn't need to know. It was Sira's baby, it was Addy's baby. He would just complicate things. "I think Ayren is the father. He's the only one who.. well, he's the only one I wasn't safe with." Sira pulled her face away from it's spot hurried in Addy's hair so she could talk better. "You're right, he doesn't need to know. We can do this together. We're endal! We can do anything!"

Sira was glad Addy was being supportive. Even if it were fake support it wouldn't have mattered to her at that moment, she just needed the support. Sira really and truly had not the first clue about how to take care of a baby, or what she was supposed to do when pregnant. Could she still shift? How long would she be grounded, unable to fly? Was the baby even healthy? Sira's eyes widened at the last thought. "Oh, Addy! Should I go see a doctor.. or, can you tell if the baby is healthy? I hope I haven't done anything to hurt it."

Sira's hand went to her belly, as if she thought she could feel the baby beneath her skin. It was far to early to feel anything, but she wasn't thinking rationally. "What if it turns out to be a kelvic like me? I don't want my child to face the same kind of stuff I had to growing up.. But we can protect her from that, can't we?" Sira fell silent for a moment before switching subjects. The persecution she faced as a child for not being Inarta was not something she liked to talk about. "We need to think of names too. Oh, and we should probably let Sai know. And Catabasis. I don't want them thinking I'm just fat and lazy in a few months."

OOCBleh.. horribly short. I don't know why I'm having trouble with this thread.

"I think Ayren is the father. He's the only one who.. well, he's the only one I wasn't safe with."

Her first reaction was a flash of anger and jealousy. How dare he be so..so...careless with her partner. Her love. Unrestrained, Addy's anger curled her fingers into claws while the hair on the back of her neck stood on end, like hackles raising. "I... I can't...AYREN!" It came out in a spitting growl, and it wasn't until the little healer saw the inevitable look of shock on Sira's face that she realized she needed to rein in her emotions. The hairs laid back down on her neck, and her vice-like grip on Sira's arms softened as she stroked the skin where her nails had bitten down. "Oh, I'm sorry Sira, my love. The thought of someone being so careless with you just...kinda set me over the edge. I guess anger was the only emotion I hadn't felt in the last hour or so." Flushed with embarrassment, Addy plied her dimples at the other woman, still massaging her arms. She hadn't meant to grip so hard, but her emotional state really was frayed. From shock, to worry, to guilt, jealousy, happiness and bliss... it was no surprise that the anger had taken her so quickly.

However, Sira seemed just as emotionally unstable as she. It wasn't long before Addy was cuddling the kelvic close to her, shushing softly and stroking her hair as she cried onto her shoulder. "It's okay...It'll all be okay... I'm happier than I describe...we will be wonderful parents..." This and more was murmured into Sira's hair between her various kisses, nuzzles and gentle hair strokes. A smile crept across her lips and her own set of tears appeared in those green eyes as Sira agreed that Ayren didn't need to know about the child. Good. That was very good.

"Oh! I hadn't even thought of that...Do you think I can?!" Addy pulled Sira to arms length, the mood completely changed from a soft emotional state to a tenser feeling of excitement. Sira had just asked the healer to check on the baby, something that Addy had never done before. Used to using her gifts to ply her fellow Inartians away from deaths grip, the little woman had never thought to use her healing to aid life. "Oh please, please lets try! I want to be the one! I do!"

Moving quickly in her renewed excitement, Addy pulled away from the loving embrace, laying Sira across the circular bed flat on her back. This was her area of expertise, why hadn't she thought of it sooner! Of course no one but she was going to take care of their child, before or after it was born. As she worked, making Sira comfortable by rearranging the pillows and blankets, Addy could feel the grin spreading across her face. Her arranging was getting to an obsessive level when Sira grabbed her wrist and smiled softly. The smile said it all. They were ready.

Taking a deep breath, Addy sunk down onto the bed next to her love. She gave Sira's hand a squeeze before letting it fall back to the bed. Gently, she lifted the hem of the woman's shirt, pulling up until her entire abdomen was exposed. The skin there was smooth, and showed no indication of the life that blossomed beneath. The hardened muscles that flexed instinctively at her touch distracted Aidara for a moment, and before she knew it the healer found herself lightly tracing the lines of them, her light touch tickling down one side of Sira's pelvis. It wasn't until a soft giggle broke her intense focus on the other womans delicious curves did Addy get back to business, with a rueful smile and a blush.

"Alright. We've done this before but I always explain first. We both know this is new to me, but...Well, I'm just going to wing it to be honest. No pun intended. You should feel warmth." Smiling reassuringly, Addy placed her hands palm down on either side of Sira's belly button. The full contact of her hands always made it easier for Addy to "dive into" the other person. Normally, she would have pictured grasping at a thread of her power, then using it to stitch or mend whatever wound she had been faced with. This was different however. Addy wasn't fixing...she was looking. Still, the hand was envisioned. Instead of the metaphorical fingers plucking at her power, Addy had the hand reach forward and submerge it's self in the warm glowing golden pool that was the center of her power. Withdrawn, from fingers to wrist the hand was shining and golden.

It was the hand that Addy used to lead her, the fingers gently probing through the known contents of the kelvic's stomach until she found something forgein. It took longer than she thought, and began to doubt herself as she shifted through the small intestine, working her way back downwards again; her first pass by the uterus had left her empty handed- literally. Slowing as she reached the uterus again, Addy paused. Sira couldn't be too far along, so maybe she wasn't looking close enough. Diving deeper, Addy gently plied her power within the uterus itself, careful to not disturb anything...And felt a flutter.

It was only a flutter, just the gentilest hint of life, but it was there. The shock of the feeling sent Addy reeling backwards; mentally and physically. All Sira would see was the little woman gasping suddenly, a shock as she had spent the last quarter of a chime in an absolutely still trance, and flinging herself backwards onto the bed.

"It's there! I FEEL IT! She's healthy." Picking herself up off the floor, as she had rolled completely off the edge, Addy crawled back into Sira's lap and hugged her close. With one arm tight around the kelvic's waist, and the other placed back on her stomach, Addy smiled up into her eyes. "Or he. I couldn't tell, it is too early." It took all Addy's concentration to listen to what Sira said next, but not even that could make her smile falter. "Yes yes, Sai will be very happy for us. And Catabasis too. I'd be surprised if he didn't already know, though. Aren't you wind eagles weird like that?" Truthfully, telling Sai gave Addy pause. But she wasn't going to admit that, not now. So she just kept smiling.

"I wonder if we should keep it a secret for as long as possible, or tell them right away? You know Sai isn't going to want us to get our own place, right? It's going to get crowded in here really soon. And babies throw up right? I mean...you can deal with the throw up? I...ew." Thinking of baby puke all over her clothes had Addy absently pulling and brushing at her shirt, a look of mild disgust on her face. "Maybe... a baby isn't such a good idea after all...I'm going to be a horrible mother!" She was kidding of course, if only partially. The sudden apprehension was apparent in her green eyes, though she still flashed those dimples at Sira.

"You do know what this means though, right? We get to go shopping!"

Flying for Two (Aidara)

Postby Sira on August 30th, 2011, 12:11 am

Sira was indeed surprised by Aidara's rather violent reaction to who the father was, but not as surprised as she might have been considering all the other reactions Addy had had that morning. The healer calmed down quickly, though, and soon enough Addy was rocking her back and forth whispering comforting words. Sira was glad for the quick recovery. Emotional roller coasters were not her favorite ride, despite their entire relationship being one giant roller coaster. The mood quickly shifted again when Sira mentioned checking on the baby, and the kelvic could only smile at the healer's excitement.

Sira chuckled as Addy obsessively rearranged the pillows over and over trying to make them perfect. She knew if she didn't do something they would never get to the baby and a gentle grasp of the healer's arm was all it took to get her attention back to the task at hand. Not that it worked very well, because once again Addy became distracted as she lightly tickled Sira's curves until a small giggle escaped the kelvic's lips.

Sira's eyes closed when Addy laid her hands on the kelvic's belly. Aidara was right, there was warmth. But unlike when the healer had mended Sira's wounds before, this was different. A gentle pleasant warmth soothingly spreading out as Addy searched for a sign of the baby she knew was there. Sira enjoyed the feeling, but when Addy reeled back and flipped off the bed Sira's eyes snapped open in shock.

"It's there! I FEEL it! She's healthy. ... Or he. I couldn't tell, it is too early."

Sira let out a sigh of relief. From Aidara's reaction she had feared the worst, but it was just Addy being Addy and her smile quickly returned to her face. Her words confirmed that she really was pregnant and not stricken with some annoying disease. And the baby was healthy! That alone brought the warm feeling back to her body, and she found herself filled with pride. It struck her odd that she would be proud of such a thing. All she had done was be careless and let Ayren impregnate her, but the baby was healthy and Sira knew that with Addy's help it would grow up strong. That was something to be proud of, right?

The issue of Sai seemed to worry Aidara and Sira was a bit apprehensive as well, but she knew it needed to be done. I wouldn't be right to keep it a secret. "It doesn't work quite that way. I can keep him out if I want. Catabasis doesn't know anything yet. At least, I don't think he does. He hasn't said anything to me. But I do think we should tell them as soon as possible. Like... right now, even. This isn't something you want to spring on people when it's too late. Plus... why keep something like this a secret at all? We're having a child, let's tell the world!"

Sira laughed at the comment about shopping, and then reached out with her mind. It only took her a moment to locate the flight leader, since they were in the same aerie and Sai was still home. Perhaps it was her off day, or maybe she had just gotten off to a late start, but it made things much easier. Sai, do you think you could come in here for a moment. Addy and I have something we want to tell you.

OOCOk, I will PM Sairque. I don't know if you want to post before or after her, but hopefully she will join when she gets the chance.

Curse her capacity for telepathic receptivity and projection. And curse everyone for knowing about it. And making use of it. Grunting, the lithe Endal scooted toward the edge of bed and gingerly eased herself over the edge. With every little twinge and pull of muscle, and apparently there were lots of muscles involved in moving from a prostrate position to an erect one, the scowl on that bruised face deepened. Curse her willingness to help little ex-Endals. And curse her idea to go walrus hunting. Stiffly balanced in a position that, though awkward, eased the sharp stretching sting of muscles pushed too hard and abused too violently the day before, Sai took a moment to breathe and resign herself to the necessary actions.

Shuffle-hopping her feet shoulder width apart, the wiry woman growled at the pain, as though she could scare it off or something, and forced the unyielding iron of her muscles to bend and stretch. Hadn’t shyke like walrus hunting been something for stupid youths? Hadn’t that stage been gleefully left in the dust some time back? Her body said yes, apparently it had, for she’d gotten horribly out of shape. Braid, one she’d had to force some drudge to put in after the hair-mussing hunt the day before, dangling and twitching against the clean stone floor, Sai examined the long scratches cutting elegant curves up the rock-hard spasm of her calf muscle. It was kinda sexy, if she didn’t say so herself. Minutely returned to flexibility, and every little bit of flex counted at times like this, the flight leader waddled through her bedroom door and across the unnecessarily large expanse of common area toward Addy and Sira’s. Catabasis was long gone, she belatedly realized. Insufferable bird.

No, in the focus on physical pain, she hadn’t been interested in keeping either Sira or Aidara out of her mind. And no, in the discomfort of said physical conditions, she hadn’t been interest in clothing either.

The door to their bedroom slowly rotated around its hinges and eased to a stop near the wall. Revealed in the jam was their disgruntled hostess, or prison guard if they did indeed want to move out, with the finger responsible for the invasion of privacy still poised where it had stopped pushing against the barrier. No clothing, but some parts of her were decent. Like her thigh. And shoulder. And foot. See, all the good stuff covered up with stained field dressings. Since it wasn’t exactly the most uncommon occurrence for her to come home like this, it shouldn’t distract them enough to forget why they’d summoned her.

“What?”

No, she also did not care that they were so freakishly chipper right now. Predatory eyes sliding off the disgustingly affectionate couple on the bed, they picked out the stacks of medical supplies on the woman’s table, kinda scrunched up and off to the side by the addition of Sira’s belongings, and led the way. Using a hand on the back of the chair and another on the edge of the table, the mottled woman lowered herself into the seat, a motion which her glutes protested vehemently, and set about removing the haphazard dressings. Little airy grunts accompanied every milestone in progress until there was a pile of bandages and wrap at her feet. Curse walrus hunting. And curse their size and freakish agility. Curse Aiven.

Plucking up a thin white cloth square just the right size for the shallow gash stretching the length of her inner thigh, she held it in place with one hand and whipped a wrappy bandage thing out of its tight roll with the other. With no finesse and only one hand, it took a bit but there was finally a loose, unevenly secured, clean dressing on that thigh. No, she did not need Aidara’s help. The finished product coincided with a lull in their news and Sai returned her attention to the couple.
"Oneday I wished upon a star
And woke up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me."

Flying for Two (Aidara, Sairque)

The appearance of her sister sent Addy scrambling to her feet. She was on the verge of flinging herself onto her sister when the emotions trickling through their connection finally punctuated her excitement.

The pain and extreme discomfort that was shared between the twins was enough to make Addy stop mid-motion; her arms were extended above her head in the process of being slung around Sai's shoulders. "Oh, Sai! Why didn't you tell me?" Distracted from their original intention, the healer took her sisters hand and was wrapping her arm around Sai's waist as she lead her to the bed. Whether Sai wanted the healers help or not, she was soon sitting her down next to Sira and wordlessly began readying herself to restore Sai's damaged muscles to fighting form. Sai should have expected this, as both of the women were undoubtedly used to this by now. Addy's gnosis didn't allow her to view any kind of wrong within the body and just let it go unhealed. It was most of the reason why she had resigned herself to the fact that a Wind Eagle would never pick her; she couldn't hunt with Sira like a normal Endal pair. If she shot at something, it had to be an instant kill, or she would have to heal it, even if it was the prey or enemy. Even then, she still felt distress. Though she was marked when she was born, Addy still, by default, had taken the vow to not hurt a living creature unless in self defense. She usually tried to avoid self-imposed physiological damage.

So, once again, Addy reached within herself, grasped her power and drew it to the surface. Unlike how she used her gift on Sira, however, Addy instead went 'into' Sai's body on the offensive, ready to fix whatever she saw. By the way her sister walked into the room, Addy was immediately aware that he sister had probably pulled almost every muscle in her body; she had never seen Sai step so gingerly before. Caution was not usually displayed in her bold twin. Knowing what to look for made the job a whole lot easier.

Starting at her feet, small hands wrapping around Sai's ankle, Addy sat cross legged on the floor and closed her eyes. She had to draw quite a bit of calm about her, letting it cover her like a blanket. Concentration was crucial, and it was super annoying for something in the real world to pull her from her reverie when she was busy fixing something. This 'blanket' helped prevent that. It had been difficult in the beginning, slipping into this state of calm unawares; but practice had paid off, and Addy usually was able to achieve it on her first try, and was rarely pulled out of it until she was ready.

And ready she was. The healer slipped into her power like a well worn glove. It fit perfectly, and although preparing herself seemed like a process, it was only seconds after she sat that Sai felt a tingling warmth in her foot. Addy found the first problem immediately: Sai had somehow bruised almost every major bone on the top of her foot. The blood was pooling beneath the thick protective membrane and was most likely very painful to the touch, but an easy fix. All Addy had to do was drain the blood and repair any tears in the periosteum and she was ready to move on.

The muscles in her upper and lower legs were next. These were hard from constant use and exercise, firm and healthy when she prodded them with her gift, which she envisioned as a glowing golden hand for better control when within the body. Where Sai had pushed her muscles too hard was plainly evident; they glowed a bright, angry red to her mental eye. These Addy had to carefully reattach to the tendon, or in some cases fix minor rips in the muscle fiber that had occurred. Luckily for Sai, there was no bleeding or major swelling as that would have taken much more work.

The same process was repeated for her other leg, back and arms. There was only muscle strain and more minor fiber tears for Addy to deal with, so when she let her power fall back into its coil at her center and shook herself back to reality, she was hardly drained at all. This brought a smile to the little woman's face; it was an obvious testament to the amount of work she had been doing to build her healing stamina. If ever there was a huge fiasco with tons of hurt people, it wouldn't do for the healer to pass out after a couple heals (like on the infamous bear-attack-hunt).

"Still treat them like they hurt, okay? I wouldn't do them any good to be immediately torn back apart. They'll be harder to put back together the second time." Falling back onto her elbows, Addy stretched out her legs in front of her. Looking smugly from Sai to Sira and back again, the healer basked in her success, the real reason that he sister had joined them completely slipping her mind.

It wasn't until Addy caught the impatient "You woke me up to lecture me?" look in Sai's eyes, and the nervous expression on Sira's face, that she remembered. "Oh!" Came the gasp as she sat back up straight again. "Sai..." Addy was used to giving women the news that they were pregnant before. Many and more came into the Infirmary claiming they were deathly ill, only to find out that they just had a bun in the oven. Addy had to learn how to tell the news gently, as to not shock or upset the unsuspecting woman. Telling Sai however... completely intimidated Addy. Would she be upset with Sira? Happy for them? Confused, dismissive, indifferent... The list could go on.

Taking a deep breath, Addy tried to pretend that Sai was just another one of her patients. Green eyes flickered to where Sira hovered on the edge of the bed, and the little woman gave her a little reassuring nod, letting her know that she would take care of it. "Um...Sai." She said again in a completely pointless stutter. "We..." She took a deep breath and paused again, before looking her sister right in the eyes and blurting "Siraispregnant!" Addy couldn't keep contact with her twins yellow hues, and dropped her gaze to her lap. She had done the hard part, and now just had to wait for the explosion, or lack there of. It would be up to Sira to fill in the awkward silence that hung heavy in the room. Hopefully, it would just turn out that the two of them were overreacting, and they would see Sai's excitement rather than her wroth.

Flying for Two (Aidara, Sairque)

Postby Sira on September 7th, 2011, 11:57 pm

Sira's eyes roamed over the twin's battered body as she entered the room and knew that, at least for a moment, no news was going to be told. She had been with Aidara long enough to know that if there were injuries to be tended to, tended they would be before all else. Sira didn't mind, and she shifted to the side a bit to make room for Sairque as Addy led her away from the bandages she was trying to put on and over to the bed. Usually she was fascinated by the healing process, wondering what it felt like to other people or if it felt the same for everybody. Her eyes could almost make out the golden glow that Addy envisioned, the power of the gods, but Sira was no Aurist and really could only see the auras of the truly divine. Sometimes she wondered what she would see if she ever tried to practice that gift. She had heard of magic that enhanced the sight even more so than she already had, allowing one to see emotions or something, but Sira found it hard to believe that anybody could see better than she could. Still, perhaps one day it would be worth investigating.

Sira waited patiently while Aidara worked. There wasn't much to do or watch, the wounds were mostly internal and so there wasn't anything to see. She knew Addy was done healing when she leaned back on her shoulders, looking smugly between the two of them. And then Aidara remembered, and the next thing Sira knew the news had been blurted out. There it was, laid down on the table for Sai to see. Would she be angry, thrilled, hungry? Sira didn't know why she might be hungry, but she had never told someone she was pregnant for either so she had no idea how one might react to such news.

As the silence fell over the room Sira realized it was her turn to speak, but she found herself at a complete loss for words. So instead she idly played with a lock of her hair and stared down at the bed sheets. What are you doing, Sira? You're supposed to say something! Oh, right, I got this. Sira looked up and put on a big smile. "Um.. Yep, I'm pregnant. And it's a healthy baby too. Addy already checked. Um... So... yeah. That's the news then."

OOCBlah post, I know. Best I could come up with.
