Physical Description
Ephraim didn't get the luckiest draw in the genetic lottery. True, he is athletic and has facial features that with a proper dose of tolerance could be called noble with his straight nose and nicely sculpted jaw but this is where his advantages end. As a half Dhani he can't shapeshift but nonetheless took after his father quite a bit. Golden hue to his skin (not really something one would call pretty, it gives him a rather sickly look), yellow irises, dry and cold in touch skin, sibilant speech. Not a human, yet also not a Dhani Ephraim can't easily hide his heritage, what is a source of constant troubles for him, mostly because how he overacts to any mentions about these unusual (for a human) traits.
His speech also bears a slight hissing to it, it was sibilant, but Ephraim pressured by his mother and later by himself, worked on losing hissing sounds although with little success. When he is very angry or agitated it automatically makes all the sibiliant accents to return.
He wears dark clothing and a cloak all the time, it takes a lot for him to feel comfortable around new people, comfortable enough to reveal his face.
Personality
Eph doesn't have issues, he is the issue. Daddy issues, abandonment issues, emotional issues, you name it. Moody, impulsive and angry are three basic traits and emotions that come to mind when thinking about Ephraim. He despises authority, especially Black Suns, City Guards and priests; he guards his independence like a rabid dog. Whenever someone wants to force Eph into something he or she can expect few curses in various languages. Some more persistent people may even earn some bruises.
Oddly enough there are fields he can control himself well, especially on the job, but later has a very intense rebound that includes heavy drinking or gambling to lose all this build up anxiety and tension. These impulsive behaviors are the main reason he is constantly broke.
The rebel attitude Eph presents is to no ones surprise a shield he built to protect himself from the world. Eph also believes all of his problems stem from the fact he is what he is – a half-breed, which is not necessarily true. At least not always. Sure there is a lot of prejudice and more than once he could see 'normal' citizens going on the other side of the street, but Ephraim himself is a difficult person to be around with. It is just easier to blame racism or speciesm for everything. Which also provides a moral excuse to his profession – why not to exploit others if they exploit and hate him?
Deep down, however, hides this scared, neglected boy that would be able to cling to anyone who could bear with Eph' difficult temperament. They need to be careful though, since Ephraim's attitude may shift very easily and one day a person can be an 'ideal friend' tomorrow can be 'this asshole I hate'. This ambivalence makes Eph sometimes to doubt who he really is.
Because no one really had taught him how to deal with strong and difficult emotions, Ephraim found his own ways to release the tension. He joins fighting rings – pain helps him to deal with inner anxiety, although he had never tried harming himself. Other brawlers make a good job for him.
Interesting fact – Eph absolutely hates snakes. He would rather eat a plate of spiders than touch a scaly reptile. As ironic as this phobia may be, anyone who mentions it could have something to do with Eph's self-loathing buys themselves a ticket to a healer.
Born to a pretty young thing seventeen years ago in the city of Ravok, Eph couldn't say he had a great start but also not the worst one. Despite his obvious 'disfigurements' his mother kept her son and decided to raise him. His father? No, not that he would know of. Of course everyone has some kind of father, just Eph never met his and Eliana Levefre had never mentioned him. Whenever asked about it, she would frown her brows and change the topic so after a while Eph stopped asking.
It didn't mean it stopped bothering him, especially when he had learned what his father was. Half-Dhani were rare, very rare and Eph senses there was some kind of mystery surrounding his parent's union or maybe it was just his way of coping with the situation. No child would like to suddenly tell to themselves 'my father just didn't want me'. Later on some people began to joke that at least his father didn't make a dinner out of his mother. However, there was something odd in his mother's past – despite being now only a barmaid she was educated, literate and well versed. She also knew all kinds of herbs and plants, especially various spices.
Eliana was also not native to Ravok,, at least didn't spent her life within the city walls, even if part of her family lived there. From what scrapes of information Eph could gather, his mother had traveled from Cyphrus back to her family home. Now only brother of her father had left alive and maintained a small shop on the outskirts of the lake city, near the trading outpost.
His mother quickly registered herself and her newborn son with the Black Suns to be granted citizen laws. And so Eph's life in the city of Ravok began...
((The rest I would prefer to roleplay if it can be allowed ))
Misc
As a hybrid, he can't hibernate and won't because of the cold but always in winter and fall seasons he gets a bit sickly and moody, catching all the colds. He also can't eat certain foods like vegetables or milk. The only thing he can actually digest and not get sick is meat.
Other health issues that presented themselves are various allergies, rashes on his skin appearing from time to time, insomnia and pain caused by old fracture on his ribs.
Also because of his ancestry Eph has good spatial orientation, however he lacks any instinct that would lead him straight to his home, like a full blooded Dhani. Nevertheless having a good spatial imagination is a helpful trait when running away from guards upon rooftops.

Religion
“Hahaha what?” Eph thinks all the gods are a hoax and just too powerful beings but not omnipotent. Sure they can smite a poor mortal but they also have the same weaknesses and desires as them. For Eph none of these lazy bums deserves a worship. Despite living in Ravok he has no intention of worshiping Rhysol. All religious rituals he does are for show to appease Black Suns and make his life easier.
