Kendall was not used to spending so much time with a Kelvic. He had known a few in his childhood but he was never companions with one like he was with Cathan. He constantly worried about offending him or making him uncomfortable. Time had shown that Cathan did not care too much about most things that Kendall worried about. He nodded attentively to the Kelvic. "Yes, feel free to keep your things in my tent if you like. I don't mind." He felt a stroke of pride in getting to help the canine man out. He did not always feel as though he was extremely useful but at least he could help out Cathan by keeping his possesions safe. The tent was spacious without Cathan's presence but Kendall enjoyed the room to move around. He was too antsy to sleep anyways. When he found himself at Sondra's side he was still buzzing with too much nervous energy to give her too much of an intellegent answer to her words. He mearly nodded and looked around with scared eyes. A thought came to him. "I should have never left Zeltiva." Even in his fit of fear he listened to Sondra and let his Res float over his palms just waiting to ignite. Around the pair a haunting chorus of wolven voices sang out. "Petch... this is not good." He could feel his heart racing in his chest. He did not want to die in this form. There would not be anyone to come to his funeral unless Sondra and Cathan made it out of the fight alive and then, why would they mourn too much for him? A strange feeling washed over Kendall when Cathan trotted toward him. He was scared as he looked at the canine. He seemed friendly enough but who knew if he was really one of the feral wolves waiting in the brush around them? He felt a small wave of relief when Sondra stepped in front of him. "Cathan?" As he spoke he saw Sondra getting ready to swing. What is the wolf was in fact Cathan? "Sondra! Wait!" The fact that the wolf had trotted up to the pair and not hurt them immediately had to prove it was Cathan, right? This theory seemed to make sense in Kendall's mind although he was not thinking too clearly at the moment. He only had moments to make a decision. His body was much stronger than it used to be as a female. He was not sure if he could overpower the Konti by grabbing her arm. She seemed much more traveled than he was and with travel one had to have some strength. He could have also jumped at Cathan, knocking the wolf over in hopes that is was in fact Cathan. If it was not he could very well be killed. He was scared but he acted on an instant, throwing his body at the side of the Konti in an attempt to knock her over. He was not a very bulky male but he was taller than her which he hoped would gain him a bit of favor. If he succeeded there was still a chance Cathan or all three of them could get incredibly injured. "Oh Gods, I should have told her about Cathan." His mismatched eyes were squeezed shut. He did not want to think about what was going to happen next. Right now all he wanted to think about was making sure Cathan's head had not been cracked open. |
