Welcome to the Suvan Sea Linkmap! The Suvan Sea is an enormous inland sea that is essentially a giant crater. This body of water lies near the center of the continent of Mizahar. A long, narrow inlet connects it with the sea at the Faleyk Gulf. The Suvan Sea did not exist prior to the Valterrian. Suva, the capital of the Suvan Empire, stood at this location. During the cataclysm, the city of Suva was entirely destroyed, and a crater hundreds of feet deep took its place. The crater quickly filled with salt water. The Suvan is divided into three main regions. Those regions have their own diverse challenges and unique sites. Ruins line the shores and seafloor and the waters themselves are teaming with life. The Suvan Sea is one of the most dynamic and changing domains on Mizahar. The Northern Suvan Sea Prone to fierce storms in the winter and much colder waters, the northern Suvan Sea is abundant with fish and home of some of the largest marine mammals on Mizahar. Prevailing winds and currents make travel to Karjin from Syliras fairly easy, while the return trip to Syliras is far more treacherous. Temperate in climate and filled with coniferous forested beaches, the Northern Suvan has rich beaches and incredibly diverse ecosystems that all come together in this 'hub' area. The Middle Suvan Sea Holding just as much water in a much narrower form, the middle suvan is known for its treacherous currents and complex navigational challenges. Less 'at sea' locations exist here, while the shore is rich with points of interest and historic ruins. None of the permanent residents of the Suvan stay in the middle suvan long, but instead use it as an inner passage to traverse between the Northern and Southern Suvan. The Southern Suvan Sea The Southern Suvan Sea is in essence a tropical paradise. Dotted with islands that are uninhabited, the Suvan in the south is one of the most svefra populated regions in the Suvan itself.
