OUTTAKE THREAD
1. You may post stuff (questions, comments, requests) about the quest in this thread. In fact, post any stuff related to the quest (questions, comments, requests) here so that everyone is aware of any intent to capture, incapacitate, maul, or kill whatever. This would be an easier communication device that your reliable PM.
2. While most outtakes are written ICly, you may also post OOCly, especially since we, as writers, usually get to tell the story only through our character's POV. It is hard to explain why your character did a particular action (eg, you acted like an asshole, but that's only because your PC is one; and you would like other players to reach out instead).

If this is your first time in encountering an outtake thread, here's some cute examples:

Qiao: Wtf these golems doing on my lawn?
Qiao: *leech*

An outtake notice of next move:
The Docks Overseer Golem thinks that he should drop a bomb on the next player to attack him. The smaller golems are happy. Crazy happy. Their next move: locate and destroy the shield glyphs on the wall.

Well I wanted to say a few things OOC about Irr.

I don't expect everyone to read this thread, but it's pretty much what happened to Irr when she arrived to the lovely island o' nuits. Long story short: She was knocked unconscious, terrified, poisoned and put through much emotional turmoil. (Ha, the golems have NOTHING on that!) *looks around for a smite happy Panna*

Anyways, what that's meant to say is that Irr doesn't really like Nuit. Or humans. (But what zith does, unless said human happens to be grilled on a spit??). Irr does recognize that not all humans (or Nuit) are horrible, but it will take a bit to earn her trust and respect. She knows NOTHING about magic whatsoever. Ehm, what else that's pertinent. SHE CAN FLY. (So expect her to leave y'all behind.) Well, not really.

I'm looking forward to threading with everyone and fighting golems together. I'll post from time to time to yell happily about the plot, posts and to explain my rationale.

Contrary to chat Irr is not just a demonic human eating bat. She's never ate a human, only Akalak. So onward! Let's kill some stuff!

Hey all of you all-stars,

I wanted to follow in Irrs footsteps and be one of the first to post in this OOC:

To let you know Irr I did read that thread and it was quite interesting. Vatala did a great job of it and I cant wait to see what he is going to do with my chara

(Because Im supposed to have a thread lined up with him sometime...)

Though Irr I really have to say ICly Ray wont care if you dont like him or not. He looks down on anything that isnt undead, and undead that, if he happens to find out, are younger than him. But your flying ability will come in handy I am sure. I wonder, can a nuit that takes a ziths body fly as long as the muscle deterioration isnt too bad? I can see flight for a couple weeks...

Random thoughts aside Im pumped to get this quest started and to be working with all of you. Im sure what will make this quest epic isnt going to be just the story itself but the people who are participating in it.

Lets here it for Team Sahova and lets take these golems down!

I have also been thinking of the 'backpacks' that we all are going to be receiving and I think I might know what is in mine *grins* Wait... No I dont

I have a few vague ideas (Like Alchemically made exploding substances to throw at golems or a combat homunculus, but I have no idea and my imagination is getting away from me) but Im excited to open the first goodie bag ever! And besides 'backpacks' are another way to say utility belt, and what do all good super hero's (Batman) have? Cool gadgets to up their game that is what.

Hmmm, I am assuming since we got the PM regarding the rules of the game that we are free to post in the actual quest? *Has post ready but is unsure if he is allowed to post it or not*

Anyways, good luck to you all and I plan to use this as well... Well, if I can come up with some clever outtake or I have a question.

I think we should probably wait till Panna gets some order up. I mean, who should post first, second... etc, as that order will have to be adhered to the whole time. Pm her. I await with bated breath. ALSO. Go team Sahovan all-stars. I kid you not, I may make a sig about this. It's so catchy!

Neuge is a bit of a hardy character and you can all expect a bit of suspicion and wariness from him. ^^ That's not to say he's not a nice guy. He just tends to be a bit of a distrusting Nuit in general.

I'm going to warn you before though, Irriari. Neuge'll be fascinated by you.

I'm afraid those bags are poisoned. Then again, Irr thinks EVERYTHING is poisoned.

Hah, that's good I suppose. Neuge is fascinated by all the unique and varied races that are different from Humans/Nuits. But go ahead and feel flattered. But also prepare for some psychoanalytical behavior.

Does anyone know why this is all called 'Karakuri'. I feel like I'm missing something.

Well Neuge dont be too intrigued by the 'backpacks' we are receiving. Im just stating what came to mind when I thought about my own, because I got this thought: Maybe the 'backpacks' are taliored to each character and not just a generic set of items given to all. Being this my first real quest Im going on here dont put any merit to my words because its all guess-work. Here is a quote, for all of us to re-read regarding the 'backpacks':

6. Each one of you will get a "backpack" to compensate for the lack or inadequacy in skill. I hope everyone enjoys being a show off, and bombing and killing stuff. This backpack I will provide after the first round of posting.

Although I would love to think they are made special and have unique items in it for the specific character to succeed in thread Im not sure how specific Pan Pan got, but knowing her, they will be great and interesting anyways.

Besides we all know the REAL goodie-bag of the quest comes at the end with all the cool rewards and whatnot. I cant wait to see what Pan Pan has cooked up. Im so excited, and Im glade that you, Neuge, decided to become a Sahovan All-Star! Welcome, welcome!

And Irr, I WOULD send her (Pan Pan) a PM but she said it would be easier to communicate via this thread and so I guess I will wait to see what she has to say when she drops in here next.

Oh! I wont be on at all later today due to the fact that I have a little child to babysit (yes, I need the money THAT bad that I am babysitting). Though I plan to have fun and maybe go out for some ice cream. Kids love ice cream, right?

In other words Pan Pan please dont put me on the top of the 'order' to post because you wont get my post copy/pasted in until tomorrow (Thursday) around like 1 or 2 PM for me.

Hmm my mind is going off and switching topics again. I hope all my posts are not as disjointed as my OOC ramblings.

Neuge, ''psychoanalytical behavior'' is good, but I dont think there will be much time for that IC in thread. Though Im looking forward to see how you are going to weave this fascination with her throughout the thread. A balance of kicking golem butt and ogling pretty zith lady. Interesting, yes, very interesting. XD Ray might start watching you, but... Then again, he can take matters like missions given to him with an air of over-seriousness (Not because he cares but because he wants to rise up in rank and doing these types of things for the higher ups is a great way to attract attention if his whole "Im going to make Sahova a Homunculus army" thing didnt). Right now he is all about appearance and impressing those that matter (being the higher ups. More specifically Qiao).

I have a vague idea that might answer your question about why its called 'karakuri'. It might be refering to 'karakuri' as a word meaning in Japanese "trick," "mechanism," or "gadget". Or it could be a reference to something called 'karakuri ningyo'

Just FYI... probably going to be throwing one bloodthirsty Myrian into the mix here. Golems don't bleed, so he won't be happy. The woman he is on the island protecting doesn't make him happy. The fact that there isn't a suitable piece of food on the island doesn't make him happy.

Gunto isn't happy. That is all.
