Kayn glanced around his eyes straying around the large warehouse trying to take in the whole scene before him. Gambleing. Gambling over anything and everything that is physically possible. He strode through the spinning coin, turning down any offers of a game. Glancing around he saw area for wrestling and a smile broke out on his face. Making his way through the crowd not so gracefully stepping on toes, pushing people out of the way.

What are we doing here?

Looking for some fun.

Your an idiot.

Stepping up he saw two men face off, one man looked was very bulky his body covered by muscle and fat, the other was a lean muscled man that seemed to move with grace as he pranced around the larger man.

The larger man charged forward attempting to grapple the smaller man in a crushing embrace. The smaller man, ducked under his arms and kicked his back, sending the larger man sprawling. The larger man growled and started to get up, but the smaller man jumped on his back digging his knee between the shoulder blades, that larger man growled and tried to get up, but he was pinned down and he was in great pain from the look on his face, screaming in frustration, he conceded.

Kayn glanced around and he saw people exchange coins at the outcome of the fight. A grin split out on his face.

Don't even think about it.

[The Spinning Coin]Care to Wager? (Jokor, Open)

Postby Llewelyn on July 2nd, 2011, 5:25 pm

Llewelyn had strode into the Spinning Coin looking for excitement. He always loved a good gamble. He stood out against the crowd, a weathered older man brown and calaused. His bushy eye brows were raised in interest. He walked over to game in progress. It was a contraption that spun, it had many different pictures and symbols on it, and whatever a small flap landed on was what you won or lost. What it seemed to him was the gambler couldn't win. The winning pictures were much smaller than the losing ones. He amused himself for a few turns watching others lose and storm off. The Benshira pulled a dried apple from his pocket and took a pondering bite from it. I'll come back to this one... Once I figure it out.

Humans always fasincated him with thier animalistic behaivior and mannerisms. This establishment epitomized it. Despite himself he enjoyed this part of human society. It was hard, gritty, unpredictable... At times he could loose himself in a good game of cards.

Llewelyn heard a group yelling and carrying on so turned to investigate. Before him were two men obviously in the middle of a brawl. To his surprise, and many others by the gasps, the smaller man seemed to be winning. With lightening speed the small man had his much larger opponent pinned. Hands were excahnged. Llewy smirked. He called out joining in the excitement, "Go again little man!"

Of all the mortal pleasures, Runas knew that gambling was perhaps one of the most dangerous. It was her knowledge that betting on the wrong man, or the wrong cards, or even a wrong number, could have serious consequences. She knew that a man could lose his life if he failed to pay his losses... Yet, with all that knowledge shared among lifetime gamblers, the sport was still crowd grabbing. People still flocked to watch two men scramble for dominance, and Runas found some of it confusing.

For a city so righteous, the inhabitants sure loved to succumb to their own darkness.

It was so very amusing.

A smile curled Runas' lips. At this time, she was an Eypharian, but she was prepared should her stay extend the bell that Syna used to herald her sleep. She had donned high boots, breeches, a tunic, and her cloak. At this time, her hood was down so she wasn't hindered by the drooping cowl. Her green eyes, which were highlighted by sweeping streaks of emerald paint along her cheekbones, glimmered with secret mirth at the boisterous crowds circling little gambling set-ups. People were yelling, people were cheering, and quite a few people were crying. Of all the mundane things Runas loved, chaos would be right up near the top.

She stopped and watched as two men scuffled in a ring of obvious well-wishers. The larger man, while he may have been adept at beating a wife or two, was obviously under matched when it came to the man who moved like a whip, lashing out and attacking the fatter one's weaknesses with a trained agility. He was a good bet.

The man to her left called out encouragement and Runas' lips curved in another flitting smile, one of the usual ones that never touched her eyes. She secretly agreed with the man; she wanted to see him fight again.
All the heavens cried when the angels fell.

[The Spinning Coin]Care to Wager? (Jokor, Open)

Postby Jokor on July 3rd, 2011, 11:20 pm

Jokor smiled as he walked into the spinning coin, feeling like a fish in the water in the only place in syliras that actually resembled his hometown a bit. Just familiar enough to feel comfortable in but just different enough so that he didn't get the feeling to hightail it out of the hellhole. Making his way through the building towards the stage, ignoring any attempts to get him into a game, he wasn't going to put his hard earned cash on the line on a game of chance... well not if the game wasn't stacked in his favor anyway. While he began pushing his way towards the front of the stage, hoping to be able to move then towards the preparation area for the fighters and take a look if Roy was there, he accidentally stomped on some dark green guy's foot while he was trying to push himself besides him. Either not noticing what he had done or just plain not caring about it he just contineud on his way towards his target.

sorry for the short post ^^; I'm still waiting on confermation if I really am allowed to use roy in an unmoderated thread.

Kayn was cheering on the fighters, just like many others standing next to him. He only half noticed the man step on his foot, but Nil noticed. With a surge of anger as the man walked off, nill grabbed control and moved there body forward shooting out his hand to grab what ever he could of the man.

He would wrestle and attempt to get the man standing in front of him, he would then yell at him. "Don't even say sorry! Be a little courteous!" He then would shake the man in his anger.

Runas' ears caught on to the unmistakable sounds of a starting altercation. Her forest green gaze sought out the man with the angry voice and settled on an Akalak with the loveliest shade of green possible for his odd race.

She drifted over out of curiousity, expectant of a good fight with the wiry little man who had so upset the dual nature within the Akalak's poor psyche. She did not think highly of his race, even considering the mortality of every species walking Mizahar's surface. She wasn't even sure why. She couldn't argue it for the reason they could only sire sons, because the fair Konti of Mura could only be dam to daughters. It was probably a sexist reason why she so belittled the proud, all-male race. She'd never admit it to another, but she was certain that was it.

Of course, that wouldn't be the reason she placed her faith on the man who had angered the Akalak. She expected the human to win. She wanted him to win. That second personality within the Akalak could benefit from a lesson in controlling prideful rage. He'd get himself killed if he didn't learn, and fast.

Jokor frowned as somebody grabbed him from behind and pulled him backwards, before beginning to yell about having to be sorry about something. Jokor just looked at the man as if he was insane for a few moments but when the green guy began to shake him for some reason he had enough fo the man. Stomping hard on the mans foot and tried to slip out of the mans grasp in either the shock or surprise. “Oi, lemme go ya big rotten piece o shyke!” He yelled over the loud cheering of the crowd. “If ya wanna get my hands on me why don't we do that in the ring after those two vagiks are done. Or are ya to shale spined for that!” He got a round of laughter from the crowd for that, a runt like him going up against an akalak. What a joke!

Kayn attempt to wrestle control of there body, but Nil pushed him away. He growled as the man's foot stomped down on his boot, but he smiled as he heard the man's challenge.

Don't under estimate him. He looks dangerous, small, fast, and dangerous.

Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. doesn't matter he annoyed me and didn't even say sorry. Anyway's how is he supposed to beat an Akalak, as huge as us.

Secretly he did not believe his own thoughts, knowing that his outburst was stupid, but to proud to say it. Kayn could feel his brothers emotions, and knew this so he kept quite.

Nil smiled shoving the man away. "Alright, lets fight mouse." He could see the other fight finishing, so he would shove the man forward onto the mat, he would get into a ready position with his arms out in front of him in a boxing guard position.

Llewelyn hadn't noticed the second fight beginning to take place in his very vicinity, until a small crowd had formed. A roar of laughter erupted as another small man challenged an Akalak. This looked to be an entertaining fight, but the Akalak would win. The crowd agreed with him. What could an Akalak possibly get from such an unfair fight?

He grabbed the nearest person, an Eypharian woman of considerable beauty. "Wanna place a bet on these two?", a large grin displaying his large yellow teeth. Here was the reason he came, the uncertainty of chance. To unlock its secrets is to better understand his fall from grace.

The previous fight was coming to an end, and now the real show would begin. Were all the little men picking fights today? Humans... always stupid.

Runas felt laughter bubbling in her throat at the immature rage of the Akalak. He was so prone to his outbursts that the little ferret of a human could easily fluster him and come out on top. She'd just need to find a sucker to bet on the Akalak with her.

Opportunity came right on cue in the form of a gnarled old Benshira grabbing the Eypharian's arm. This truly surprised her. Real Benshira avoided real Eypharians like the plague. It all had to do with slavery. The Eypharian race was the best of the two in her opinion. They truly were divine. She was so very vain and naïve it was quite amusing. At least, if someone else would have known her well enough to categorize her personality it would have been amusing.

She looked to the Benshira now, green eyes looking past everything that another would have deemed unlovely or unsightly. She wasn't one to judge a person by their skin. She believed souls were truest.

"Make a bet?" She grinned slowly, her eyes starting to glitter playfully. "Yes. I'll do that. What's yours?" She hadn't gambled like this in o long she felt stupid.

She couldn't wait for those two to get in the ring abd fight.
