Her lips curved slowly upon the approach of the friendly face, now adorning Marlow's person as he bounded over in his ever powerful stride. She cocked her head to the left as Iko did, before he turned to peck marlows shoulder in two taps to say ''Goodbye''. Flitting back to Lux, he disappeared in to the nesting of her hair, beneath her ear once again. Sitting snugly, she simply smiled and gave him a reassuring pet atop his plump body: ''I take that smile means, you got what you wanted, neh?'' She tilted her head with a soft smile, showing her teeth for once. It'd been a long time since she'd smiled this way. She rather liked the sensation of it all.
Stretching slightly, an ached sound cracking from both her spine and her lips, she rolled her shoulders as her arms stretched upwardly, which were later to bend to hold her shoulder blade, or to hang by her side: ''I've been considering the Kelp Bar. Just to refresh things in my head. I can't really take up without nourishment you see.'' She swung her bag about from her side, peeling it open, the buckle chirping as it collided with the opposing metal fastenings. Once open, she revealed the contents of her bag to be all but a little food, a blanket and provisions for hygiene and other such needs. She smiled awkwardly and scratched at her nose, wrinkling it in a fondness of the gesture. She'd known her mother to do this as a young girl, and thustly it soothed her. Her eyes suddenly fixed on the small feather atop his shoulder. She reached forward, her needle like hands plucking it from him:
''I'm sorry if he pestered you. He doesn't usually take kindly to strangers.'' She smiled apologetically up at the gentleman, petting Iko who was glaring at him from the nest of hair he'd made. She arched her brow and made a slight clicking sound at him from the back of her throat, which seemed to make him stop. ''He thought it was raining. Do forgive him. He has the brain the size of a small nut, if that.'' At this, Iko expanded his feathers into a round ball, offended by the crude, though logically correct, statement. She shifted to look at Flick, smiling lightly: ''I know where i'd like to go. It is within your right to leave. Both of you. If you've no intention of coming with me.'' She spoke clearly and with a subtle trace of sadness amongst the compassion and understanding. She wished not to simply drag them about, as a child would toys. Indeed not, they were people and had such rights to decide for themselves.
Her head swayed softly at the mentioning of her wrists and once again, she rounded herself to face Marlow: ''I'm fine. You've really got to stop worrying. It's nothing in compared to what I have had to endure at some crossroads in my life.'' She paused a moment and edged herself about the mental haze within her as she spoke, weary that she was indeed within company. Her disposition shifted again with a slight encouraging peck from Iko, having noticed her eyes glaze over with a foggy white shimmer. She gave a thankful pet to him and looked about the two anxiously: ''Shall we?...'' |
