Timestamp: 80th Day of Spring 511 AV
Location: Chemar's Quarters
Satus: Closed, tag Chemar and Sairque

Though she was petite in stature, Sairque strode through the warrens as if her shoulders scraped against the walls and her head touched the ceiling. Dek, chiet, avora and even endal alike gave wide berth to the stern-eyed flight leader and the archer trailing her dragging a load of fresh skins. Kovac struggled to keep up with the Inarta's quick, short strides, he alone carrying the cumbersome burden of the hides they had taken during their hunt that day.

The avora had wondered why Sairque had assigned him to hunt with her. The two of them were certainly well acquainted, though there was no love lost between them, at least openly. They had worked together on many occasions, under the conditions of reluctant mutual respect concealed beneath the complaints that she was too bossy and abrasive and that he was aggravating and mouthy. But Sai had come to tolerate Kovac, it seemed. The disaster of the long hunt in the Fall had changed things. The rider had helped Aidara save his life on that hunt. Then, Sai had watched the insufferable flirting between her twin and the avora over the past couple seasons which had lead to a tense confrontation between Sairque and a jealous Shayth. The corner of the archer's mouth curled up, maybe Sairque chose him to ride with her today to irritate Shayth. Regardless, on this day's hunt, Sairque had been nothing but professional, and their interactions had been limited to her issuing instructions and Kovac following them.

Turning a corner, Kovac's gaze drifted down to appreciate the endal's backside as she walked ahead of him. Sairque looked very much like her twin sister, though the shade of her hair was a tad lighter, and he had been with them enough to notice subtle differences in their facial features. From the back, they looked quite different, the nature of each woman's work shaping their bodies to their lifestyles. The avora grinned wryly. Yes, Sairque was built different than Aidara...different but no less pleasing to observe in motion.

His ogling proved only a temporary distraction from the anxiety Kovac felt over reaching their destination...Chemar's quarters. He had not come across the dreamwalker after his visit to the Dreaming Lady and the rather intense encounter he had experienced at her hands. His gut churned and a nervous flutter plagued him, unwilling to acknowledge the confused emotions that taunted him at the thought of her. Fear, embarassement, and a twisted attraction still lingered at the mere thought of the woman. The avora had resisted when Sairque insisted they take the skins to the Tisserand to tan. But when the redheaded flight leader issued a command, sufficient was the tone of her voice and set of her eyes to motivate Kovac to obey.

Entering the hallway where they would find Chemar's door, the pile of skins shifted and several slid from his strained grip to the floor. "Petchin' mother scratching, crotch cheese munching..." His string of curses trailed off as he stopped to gather the bulky hides again. Sairque did not break her stride, heading away down the corridor. "Oh no, please, don't worry, I got these, you go on ahead." He quipped, only loud enough to maybe reach her ears as he slung his burden over his back again and headed off to catch the rider.

The Honey Trinity (Chemar & Sairque)

Kovac was wallowing in one of his whiny moods again. She would call it womanly, but no Inartan female got as dramatic and sensitive as the archery instructor. Upon requesting his highly prized services this morning, she’d thought he’d be wryly sarcastic in the fun way. Nope. Instead he just moped around and huffed at every suggestion she’d given, like she was ordering him around as she would a drudge. Poor man seemed to have lost his manhood since shacking up with Shayth. Couldn’t blame him though, she definitely wore the pants in that relationship.

Behind her, he mumbled something, of a topic and wit that the most inane comment could overcome in entertainment and importance, she was sure. Probably something about his hands being too soft and delicate to stand up under the work of carrying the skins to Chemar, wouldn’t want his drawing fingers stressed. When they’d first piled them together she’d been about to suggest tying them into a bundle, but from the way he’d looked at her, she’d submitted to his foul mood and instead motioned for him to do as he pleased. She wasn’t his mother, if he wanted to make things difficult it was his right.

Sure, she could see why Aidara wanted to drag him to bed. He had this mysterious brood about him, he was exotic, a half breed, he could play an instrument, even. But how did she overcome the fact that he would probably spend more time complaining about his split ends than focusing on her body? Oh, and there was the fun of sticking a burr in Shayth’s side. There was the distinct possibility that Aidara simply liked goading the jealous Endal into confrontations. Sai chalked it up to her sister’s ridiculously blind sex drive and left it at that.

Even if the attitude of her compatriot had been lacking, the hunt had progressed smoothly and wrapped up neatly. If there was one redeeming factor for the man it was that he never let his moods interfere with his skillful execution of his job; the largest animal had been brought down by an expert shot from the Avora. They’d returned with several choice cuts of meat and even had some skins left over to drop off at Chemar’s for her tanning hobby. Honestly, she would have taken them to her even if the tanners hadn’t mentioned they didn’t have the means to take care of them at the moment. The last stretch of work, culminating with this hunt with Kovac, had been difficult and draining. She should have known better than to seek out the surly Kovac to alleviate some of the stress, now she practically ran people over in her haste to make it to their destination. The archer, for some reason, had trailed behind and glared at the ground with various unprovoked expressions crossing his face since she’d told them they were heading for the elder Tisserand’s chambers.

She assumed they knew each other, everyone seemed to know Chemar, but in the worst case scenario couldn’t imagine a dream going so bad as to color the man’s opinion of the waking woman. Perhaps he didn’t like women in power. Maybe they made him uncomfortable. Shayth had power. Maybe he was attracted to powerful women except now he had Shayth so the attraction made him awkward and bumbly. Awww.

Yellow eyes mushed over her shoulder at the man for a split second. He was so cute.

Her knuckles barely rapped against their hostesses door before she pushed through and held the portal open for her companion. It was debatable which abode she’d spent more time in over the years, her own or Chemar’s. In fact, she was sure the only reason the Ape bothered waiting for an invitation into the aerie was because one never knew who Aidara was doing or what state of dishabille she might be in. Chemar might as well have rapped right on Sai’s skull; the dreamwalker seemed to be the only person who could make Aidara quite that flavor of embarrassment regarding her sexual exploits. But since the Tisserand didn’t have a warning system quite like that, Sai shut the door behind Kovac and loudly announced herself and a visitor, trying to draw her best friend away from whatever pursuit she engaged in currently.
"Oneday I wished upon a star
And woke up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me."

The Honey Trinity (Chemar & Sairque)

Postby Chemar Tisserand on June 17th, 2011, 12:23 pm

Holed up in her workroom, Chemar worked, bent over a hide that was stretched across and anchored to a slab on the floor. With a razor sharp blade in her hand, she skimmed across the hide, though not with the sharpened edge. Instead, she scudded over the skin with the backside of the blade; held nearly flat on the surface of the skin it served to remove anything that should not remain on the tanned hide. She sat up when she heard the rapping on the door and brushed the back of her wrist along each of her cheeks to blot her skin. She didn't move beyond that, looking to the ground at her side as she waited for the familiar voice that would next announce itself. Three. Two. One. 'It's meee, and I brought a visitor!' Sairque's voice cut through the air to her ears with perfect clarity. Even before she heard the voice of her friend, there was no alarm when she heard the entry into her home, Sai was the only person who ever breached the walls without permission. Sai was one of the few people who actually ever came to her home, for that matter. No, there was no alarm at all, until the conclusion of her announcement.

Visitor?! Chemar's brow constricted and she looked down at herself. Dressed in a bryda and vinati that with generosity could only be called threadbare, worn as much for comfort as to spare the fabric of her nicer clothes from this work. Her hair had been secured atop her head, but after the time spent working the hide on the floor in front of her had escaped its bonds and now traveled in unruly tendrils across her shoulders and back, dragged to freedom by the weight of the glass teardrops. She grimaced as she pushed off the floor. Why would she bring someone else here? Leaving the knife on the stretched skin, she glanced around her workroom.

When she had bartered for the creation of this workshop she had incorporated all the things that would make it easier to do the work she intended. Taking no small amount of time to get it exactly as she wished it; Built into the floor, there were three raised slabs of stone, each one complete with removable stakes at each corner, made for various stages of stretching. Another feature she'd considered and bargained for, were
long, flat vats that held each of the solutions she needed to tan the hides. These vats were placed in the outer walls, emerging from and receding into the mountain itself by the crank of a corresponding handle that had been secured in the adjacent wall, controlling the movement. It was rather ingenious, if she did say so herself, and it kept the lion's share of the floor free for other things as well as containing some of the more pungent odors. It was the perfect space, and she smiled a little as she looked around.
The sound of footsteps drew closer and turned, embarrassed to be meeting anyone other than Sai in this state.

Her response was not nearly so confident, but still carried to the ears of her guests as
she did her best to straighten the displacement of her appearance. In spite of her discomfort, there was still a streak of humor and mischief present in her voice, she could not help but use her most comforting defense. "And what victim have you brought into my lair tonight, my sister?" Her words succeedsheen entertaining her, if no one else and she could only imagine the face of the poor man or woman that Sai had dragged to her home. Over the years, and the dreams, Chemar had gained a reputation as being exceedingly more sinister than she saw herself, but she hoped that her life outside the Dreaming Lady in some way evened out that impression. That said, she was never one to waste a reputation... "I hope you've told them of the risks of entering my home..." The private laughter still curling her lips, she moved to the door
of her workroom, pulling it open with the sturdy leather handle.

She came face to face with Sai, nearly running into her. Her chin lifted just a fraction and she peered at her monkey soldier through narrowed eyes. For effect, and for just a moment, she ignored the visitor and spoke only toner friend, her voice hushed, but not nearly so much as to exclude the ears of her guest. "You risk much bringing them here unannounced...I might have killed them with a mere thought." A wicked flare of humor flashed in the eyes and lifted one brow of the dreamwalker as she looked past Sairque to... Kovac.

Oh.

The physical response caught her off guard, and though a thin line of sweat began to roll down the valley of her back her recovery was quick, and she counted on the shroud of skins he carried to mask the look of surprise on her face. Her mind searched for a continuation of her thoughts, hoping to retain some sense of control in the situation. Seeing Kovac for the first time since his walk was not something she was prepared for. His had been a most disarming dream, and it had taken her some time to reconcile the events in her own mind, but her sense of pride and decorum would not let her reveal that fact. She blew out a puff of air, rolling her eyes as she squeezed past Sai to edge through the doorway. "Well this one knows all my tricks." Her eyes locked for brief moment on Kovac's and she continued. "It will be much harder to steal his soul, now that he knows those things." She let out a long sigh, leaning her backside against the edge of a table. "We may have to gang up on him Sai." Her eyes flashed to her best friend, pulling her into this new game with just a look. She watched as a playful smile appeared then was hidden as she held the gaze with her partner in crime. Kovac had no idea what was in store for him...

In a near silent and very graceful movement, she came up behind Kovac, placing one of her hands on the center of his back, and sinking the other into the fur of the closest hide. "Lovely skins..." She could feel him tense just a little under the touch of her hands and she tried her best not to smile. "If you would, they could go in my workroom." Her hand trailed down his back before lifting off his skin. "How have you been Kovac?"

Moving aside for him to move, she walked over to Sai and draped her arm around the shoulders of her friend, twirling a single strand of her long red hair around the tip of a finger. A sidelong glance contained a wealth of experience and information, wordlessly shared between the oldest of friends. When she did speak, her voice was softened, and her sincerity rang through. "I will make us beautiful things."

Kovac stepped into the room after Sairque let herself into Chemar's lair....room. The avora did not enter into the room proper, but lingered near the door. He was indeed out of sorts. Sai had aggravated him to no end, treating him like a simp, the sharply clever rider seemed to disarm his usually barbed wit and left him smoldering and pouting. Then there was the anxiety of seeing Chemar again.

The dreamwalk he experienced at Chemar's hand had been deeply moving, and so served its purpose in creating some closure regarding his mother. For that he owed Chemar gratitude. But the interaction with the dream-Chemar had been traumatizing, exposing a variety of emotions that the archer felt so strongly that he was not able to easily shake them in his waking life. Strange, echoing images remained with him, and a curious draw to the dream walk that he would not admit even to himself. Real life Chemar was not as large, as stark as the one in his dream. He had both craved and hated dream Chemar, wanted to both give himself to her and squeeze the life from her. Nevertheless, dream or real, it was still Chemar, and she remembered as well as he all that transpired between them while he slept in the back room of the Dreaming Lady.

The Tisserand's familiar voice passed through the closed workshop door to the guests in the front room, urging a flutter in his stomach. He flashed Sai a grin that was not reflected in the rest of his face. All he needed was for the endal to see how much this woman affected him.

The workshop door opened and Chemar strolled in. The inarta appeared quite different then when he met her at the Dreaming Lady. Simply elegant vinati and bryda were replaced with plain, worn garments, her finely groomed, glass encrusted crimson mane now toppling from the pile atop her head like the flow of lava from a volcano. She was much less intimidating in appearance, yet, the gold-rimmed irises of her eyes were still those of the devious walker, and her taunting, jesting words did not ease his tension. The avora's heart rate quickened, a few booming beats of his heart thumped inside his chest.

Then she recognized him. He saw it...a flash of surprise, a hint of a disturbance in her smooth delivery that the wry avora seized upon. She too was affected. The revelation bolstered his ego, armed him with a shred of confidence. His grin turned from waning to twisted as she spoke, having deftly regained her composure, pouring out her teasing pokes at him.

As Chemar drew near again, touching his back, Kovac strove to conceal the tightening of muscles that returned at her touch, his glance darting to Sai, wondering what the endal thought of the woman's bawdy suggestions.

Perhaps it was the intensity of the situation, a defense mechanism engaging in his scattered mind, but as Chemar moved beside the rider, the mongrel found his tongue, and the sarcasm that Sairque had longed to hear returned. "I have been well, Chemar, Sai and I have had a lovely day, I am afraid I have played the pitiful serf with a broomstick up his arse. Even as the most skilled hands of the dashing Sairque were wrapped around it." He gave a daring wink to the flight leader, a hint of what might have been an apology draped in his roguish smile. Kovac headed towards the door Chemar had indicated.

"And as for my soul...I would have to have one for you to steal, dream walker."
He snarked as he passed by the two women. A sudden realization struck him as she saw them so close, Chemar's finger entwined in a lock of Sai's red hair. They were friends. A shiver ran down his spine, though he was unsure if it was fear or the result of some dark thought. Gang up on him. That was what disturbed and intrigued him. As he turned and passed into the workshop, Kovac had the sudden urge to watch his back. He wondered if Shayth knew where he was, in case he needed rescuing.

The Honey Trinity (Chemar & Sairque)

Postby Sairque on July 23rd, 2011, 10:58 pm

The crisp razor sharp attitude that twisted the broom that Kovac so enthusiastically informed Chemar off sloughed off by the pound with every step into that lair...room. By the time the Dream walker narrowly avoided breaking Sai's nose with her sternum, the strictly disciplined Endal fairly strolled through the flat with a whistle on her lips and a skip in her step. Within these walls, responsibility existed as nothing more than a distant concept...

Except this time. That delightful and wicked mischief Chemar had greeted them with faltered as her eyes lifted to Kovac. Petching Kovac. The beginnings of regret at this poor decision, bringing the surly Avora here, dissipated as Chemar continued on to greet the man.

So he was a client.

Having been through a few rough lessons with the dreamwalker, long before Chemar had the experience and control she commanded today, Sai knew how soul shaking the experiences could be. Brilliantly warped sunshine eyes leaving Chemar's to meet the increasingly lively gaze of their victim...guest, Sai took their game seriously and let not a hint of a smile escape prematurely. She wasn't disappointed as Kovac found his tongue.

"It's true, Chemar, Kovac is a delightful puppet. It's a shame the only role he could manage to fill this morning was that of a Drudge," Sairque lobbed back, accepting the validity of his barb regarding her micromanagement but unable to refrain from retorting anyway. A quirk of her lips finally betrayed her pleasure at the man's new attitude. The wiry flight leader, almost prudish in the covering her simple clothing provided compared to the threadbare outfit Chemar sported, sank into the formidable woman with an intimacy Kovac had never seen her display toward anyone, not even Addy. Arm wrapping around the dream walker’s waist, Sai’s fingers played with the thatch work threads at the bottom hem of her vinati.

“You seem unable to touch a single thing without improving it,” she agreed aloud to both of them after giving Chemar a soft smile meant only for her. Eyes accented by devilishly arched eyebrows slid from Chemar’s heavy gaze to Kovac’s passing figure. “I suppose there are other things we could take from the man in lieu of his absentee soul,” she continued on to suggest.

A faint thread of wary pleasure pulled taut as Kovac reentered the room. Their interactions together had a way of exploding in unexpected ways, granted it was all under the surface due to their professional public faces, but this was a different arena. There was no telling what the sharp witted Avora would come up with and no way to predict just how far Chemar would push the already tense situation. Moistening her sun chapped lips, the petite woman sank further into the haven Chemar offered, her head dropping to rest against the playful woman’s shoulder as she eyed the hunter speculatively.

Lids dropping to cast an eyelash veil over those yellow pools, lips parted slightly and the pale, relaxed digits of her free hand crossed over to tease the thin material covering the dream walker’s thigh. He was only ever this lively when a woman intrigued his appetites. Sai latched onto this realization and pushed experimentally; all for the fun of the game. Touching lightly, the soft pads at the tips of her fingers dragged up that enticing thigh to outline the top of her bryda from one delicate hip bone to the other. Sai trusted that Chemar was on the same page regarding the motivations behind the uncharacteristic sensual display.

“What are your plans for the rest of the afternoon?” she inquired of the roguish hunter with a nonchalance at odds with the current physical situation.

Kovac was on edge, but the kind of edge that was like the moment before the eagle you are strapped to leaps off a cliff. Chemar and Sai had taken him by surprise, and he felt compelled to rise to the challenge. Though, the two inarta women caught him off gaurd. The avora did not realize how well they knew each other, and felt a bit like he had been ambushed. Sai, in particular, proved to be something he had not realized...fun.

He would have to be on his toes with these two. Chemar, well, seeing her again disturbed him. He had dreams on occasions, after their dreamwalk. Dreams that contained gruesome, violent and sensual encounters with the woman. Even now she haunted him, playing him, for she knew things about him, knew what drove him.

As for the endal, Kovac had never seen Sai this open or intimate to anyone, even her twin. The way she draped herself over Chemar, it was almost suggestive. The fiery rider's otherwise slashing snark and wit had taken a silky, racy edge that he did not expect. Suddenly, he saw Sai in a different light, as a woman and not a drill instructor.

He deflected the flight leader's well-placed stab with a signature wry grin and a mock disappointed 'huh'. Kovac kept his eyes on the women as he passed them going into the workshop, his eyebrows raising in response to Sai's roguish comment. He dumped the arm load of hides in the workshop, taking a moment to look around at the works of Chemar's craft in various stages of completion. Glance back at the doorway, he assessed his situation.

A game had commenced, one that the cheeky avora found hard to turn away from. The inarta women had laid down a gauntlet, and it was just Kovac's size. With a nod to himself, he strolled back into the room, determined not to let them rattle him.

Pausing before Chemar and Sai, he rested his hands on his hips. "Chemar, you have a way with skin." He commented with a grin, his gaze slipping down her form, admiring her creamy skin. "I mean...hides." Kovac's twisted grim persisted, his green eyes flashing. But, to his delight, Sai did not let him have the upper hand for long. She tantalizingly toyed with Chemar's bryda at the woman's thigh, somehow turning her usually hard yellow eyes into pools of inviting gold. It was a bit unnerving at first, seeing Sairque like that. But she was every bit as alluring as her sister when she poured it on and more subtle and cunning when doing it. The archer tried not to show reaction to her blatant attempt to get to him, but his eyes followed her small fingers as they brushed along the contour of Chemar's hips. The sheen of sweat that had broken out on his forehead would probably give him away anyway.

The sound of Sairque's voice, now thick and sweet, drew his attention back to the redheads. They were beautiful, and he was in trouble. Kovac feigned a pensive look, shook his head slightly. "This afternoon...well...I have been assigned to you all day, so I guess I must suffer under your tyranny for a while longer." Though his words were barbed, his grin and playful eyes betrayed his state of mind. "But if you two need to be alone, I can find something to entertain myself."

The Honey Trinity (Chemar & Sairque)

Postby Chemar Tisserand on July 27th, 2011, 5:13 am

The longer she remained in the company of Sairque and Kovac, the more undressed she felt. It was a strange occurrence she could not explain, but this trio seemed a volatile combination, ready to explode at any given moment. She was used to her boundry free interactions with Sai, but they were typically restricted to private moments outside the notice of others, the addition of the Avora was as of yet, an undefined element, an mystery that added a tingling shiver across her skin. She had felt it in his dreamwalk, but now it was here, in her home and it was disarming.

She would not be disarmed.

As Kovac traversed between rooms, she grinned at the playful barbs the two exchanged. A way with skin... As the words left Kovac's mouth she felt the tantalizing effect of Sia's fingertip on her thigh and an almost imperceptible sigh caught in her throat. A flicked glance to her partner in crime seemed to release the same sigh past Chemar's pursed lips. As the Endal's touch rode along the top of her bryda, her hips responded, arching in a small circle as though moved by the energy of that touch. The golden rings in her eyes seemed to flare as her attention turned to Kovac, the sheen of sweat instantly visible on his face, and ever growing across the rest of his body. With the luxury of a lingering gaze her eyes traveled across every inch of his skin, returning to his face only when she'd added the heat of those gold rings to his already sweating body.

"Suffer." She repeated only that one word, considering its meaning while Sai's finger still drifted along her pale hips. "Do you really see it as suffering, Kovac?" She reached out with one long graceful hand dragging her fingertip from the depression found at the meeting of his collar bones to the center of his chest where with a gentle pressure, she held her finger there, met his eyes, and offered a pointed reminder of what real suffering was.

"Do I keep it too hot in here for you?" A small bead of sweat ran along her throat, settling in that same hollow. "Let us do a test."Her hand withdrew from its touch and she pressed her full lips to the inside of her wrist, eyes locked on Kovac as she felt the heat of her own skin. The next participant was Sai, but since her hand was currently engaged, Chemar leaned close, gently moved her hair to the side, and pressed her lips to the skin beneath the Endal's delicate ear. The touch of her lips lingered until she had a proper gauge of the heat radiating from the monkey soldier, pushing off with a slight gathered pout. "Your turn."She faced the Avora. With a sly smile that Kovac would remember, Chemar approached him, her hands moving to her hips, where they scissored together with Sai's, pulling her along. For a moment, she took pause and stood looking at Kovac, then without further hesitation, she leaned in and pressed her lips to his, parting them ever so slightly to pull in a warm breath of him. The pressure was no more than that of a butterfly resting on a leaf, but the heat seared between them so that when she pulled back, she felt compelled to drag her lower lip into the soothing moisture of her mouth.

The test done, she stepped back, pulling Sai's arms around her waist, and with a playful glance over her shoulder, looked back at her friend.

"He definitely seems overheated..."

The Honey Trinity (Chemar & Sairque)

Postby Sairque on August 12th, 2011, 1:26 pm

A flick of those golden pools to Chemar’s animated face upon the unguarded reaction to that caress caught the breath in Sai’s throat. Her gaze lingered on the Dream Walker’s parted lips as an inaudible sigh kissed them. Kovac wasn’t the only one being played here, her own reactions were proving to be just as strong if not as visible as his sheen of sweat. The stakes had jumped. Caught off guard as she reevaluated the parameters of this game, thankfully Chemar responded to Kovac’s parry. By the time their attention had returned to her, the Endal gracefully fell in line with their leading lady.

Eyes had shifted from the mesmerizing sight of the Dream Walker and stared into Kovac’s intriguingly defiant soul, inviting him in to witness the titillating way those lips pushed so plushly against the virgin flesh at the side of her neck. Or perhaps he was more interested in that precursor teasing touch, the ephemeral gossamer feel of the feathery hair along her neck being brushed aside to make way for the real offering. Like an appetizer. Either way, Sairque enjoyed it all from beginning to end, and couldn’t help but let those pools of inviting gold flutter shut as the electric presence against the length of body and centralized beneath that delicate ear became too much for her to handle while provoking the man. In the end, her cheek turned toward Chemar, followed soon by the rest of her body turning to exclude their guest and press closely into the Tisserand, Sai taking a private moment to enjoy and get lost in the physical intimacy their friendship could encompass.

Uncurling as Chemar pulled away, having enjoyed their moment but willing to return to the game, though it was tempting to take Kovac up on his offer to entertain himself. Here or elsewhere, it hadn’t mattered at the moment the Dream Walker’s warm breath rushed across the creamy skin of her neck, shooting a demanding shiver up the back of her neck. But no, there were things to be done before they could indulge. Like check the man’s temperature. Which apparently Sai needed to be kept close for, tugged along, the Endal settled in at her hip, lidded eyes studying Kovac’s reactions above a lopsided smirk.

“You know, Chemar, I don’t think he’s suffering at all,” she observed, voice a husky timbre. Gaze flicking up to the taller redhead, arms resituating around that slender waist but hands unable to keep from working mischief even as she responded. “But I don’t think your test was conducive to cooling him off.” Though her words followed along with their unspoken game, those hues of hers had lost a bit of their levity and smoldered with the anticipation of what Chemar teased them with. Slender fingers of her right hand drove along the line where the woman’s abs met her hip bones, pushing lower, thumb catching in the waist band and exposing more of that midriff for Kovac’s hungry eyes. A single digit from her other hand brushed over the Dream Walker’s torso until it traced across her collar bones, catching that lone bead of betraying sweat.

“In fact…” the distracted woman continued, the pink tip of her tongue slipping out to moisten parted lips before she broke the gaze with Chemar and turned again toward the man. Unwrapping and releasing the taller woman with painful care and reluctance, Sai stepped around and toward the Avora hunter. There was still a challenge here, though it might amount to which of the two guests would crack first. With measured steps, Sai circled Kovac, close enough for him to feel the heat of her passing. “It looks as if he’ll be unable to follow through with that offer to entertain himself, I don’t think he could bring himself to leave the two of us alone,” the Endal taunted, using his own snark against him. He would lose if he decided to simply prove her wrong and leave the residence, and it would be no fun if he shifted gears and instead admitted their allure. The anticipation of his clever extraction from the seeming trap he’d laid for himself mollified the sensual drive. Over Kovac’s shoulder, a playful gaze met Chemar’s again, a small hand, white compared to the dark tone of his skin, slid between his arm and chest, fingers curling to drag short nails down the hard curve of his chest and across those abs until they reached his hip.
"Oneday I wished upon a star
And woke up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me."

Suffer. Hearing Chemar utter the word, her tone identical to the deceptively calm, self-assured voice he had heard in his dream, brought back vivid memories of their dreamwalk. In that dream Chemar tugged at his strings, seducing and torturing and manipulating him. Kovac's heart began to race, seeing that same taunting Chemar arise, but this time it was no dream. She knew what she was doing, playing dirty, attempting to disarm him by haunting him with the traumatic recollection of their experience. The lazy drag of her finger down his sternum, resting over his heart, caused the organ beneath to pound violently. He could almost feel again her hand reaching into his chest to pull his heart out. He clung to his resolve not to let her shake him.

As quickly as she plagued him with memories of the dream, Chemar moved on and the game commenced once again. The observant avora did not miss the stray bead of sweat nestled at the crux of the woman's collar bone, an errant thought to lick it up crossing his curious mind. But acting upon such an impulse would reveal a weakness. He would not show weakness to these woman. A dream walker and an Endal, both had controlled him, in their own ways. But in this impromptu game, there was no caste or occupation, it was a contest of personalities, control, desire and seduction.

With intrigue Kovac watched the unabashed antics of the two women, blatant in his voyeuristic behavior. For a moment Sai and Chemar seemed lost in their own seduction, the avora finding a twisted delight in watching the rider's neck tilt just so, offering her pale flesh to the dreamwalker's gentle kiss. The Endal turned towards Chemar, as if to exclude the man for a moment, to share something with Chemar alone. The man coud see, Sairque too was caught in the game, as he saw her golden eyes flutter shut in pleasure as the dream walker's full lips pressed against her warm skin. The avora shifted slightly, making adjustments, suppressing the primal energy that nearly caused his body to shiver at the sight. Events were taking place too fast, the momentum was building, and consequences seemed further and further from relevant as the stakes continued to rise, the pressure to be the first to break mounting. No, Kovac told himself, he would not easily give in, but gods, was it hard.

The girls' brief distraction passed, Chemar then neared the avora, who's temperature had surely risen in just the past few chimes. Without flinching, he accepted the inarta's kiss, the press of her red lips to his far more enjoyable then in their dream. had it been a firm, impassioned kiss, Kovac certainly would have returned in kind. But Chemar proved allurement was even more powerful with a taunting softness, a brush against his lips, and a draw of his own breath into her lungs. She had already taken something from him.

Kovac resisted and did not lean after her, seeking more. He stood firm, but his lower lip folded in as his tongue drew along it. He could not, of course, disagree with her findings, his heat had certainly risen. Sai, not to be outdone, and loving to aggravate the avora, now turned to a different form of torment than the thankless tasks she usually assigned him. Now, he was forced to watch her, small hands wrapped around Chemar, tugging teasingly at the woman's bryda, revealing the hint of lines and contours hidden beneath her low-slung garment. The archer swallowed hard. With a twinge of jealously, Kovac watched the rider catch up the drop of sweat on Chemar's skin on her finger, then disentangle from the dream walker before approaching him.

He had never seen that look in Sai's eyes, that hungry glint that one would assume the authoritative endal would be incapable of possessing. But she did, and it stirred the heat that Chemar had ignited. This is Sai. He repeated to himself. But his libido didn't care who she was at that moment, and Kovac was compelled to agree. He kept his eyes on the rider as she circled him like a hungry cat. He broke from his composure when the endal's hands reached around to rest on his chest, a sudden hiss of a hastily inhaled breath escaping as she dragged her nails over his torso and the sensitive skin of his abdomen, eliciting a jolt through the nerves at his core. Kovac struggled to restrain himself, a task almost too difficult to peform, but he had to respond somehow to stay in the game.

His hands lifted to cover Sai's, holding them there firmly for a moment. Then Kovac removed her hands from his skin, pivoting around and releasing them. In one fluid motion, he turned to face Sairque and began his own circling. His fingers traced a line across her bared stomach, from the ribs at one side to those on the other, his middle finger dipping for a fleeting breath into her navel as his hand passed over it.

"I don't think the two of you can be trusted to complete your work alone. I think you would find my assistance quite..helpful. Contrary to what you may believe, endal, I am not lax and incompetent in all tasks." He replied, cooly, leaning in to breath his words into Sai's ears, strands of her crimson hair fluttering at the breath from his mouth. He flaunted his insubordination, emboldened by the turn of events, and the game at which he was quite familiar. His course around the endal came full circle, his calloused hand trailing around to cross the small of her back, just above the waist of her bryda. He found flirting with Sai was even more invigorating that doing so with his sister. Playing this game with Sai, so much more subtle and dangerous, appealed to the surly half-breed.

Pulling away from the endal, smooth steps carried him to Chemar, rich green eyes defiantly meeting the gold rimmed gaze of the dream walker. Kovac did not halt until he was nearly on top of her, his bare torso, marked by the red-streaks left by Sairque's nails, nearly brushing her chest every time it expanded to inhale a breath, scented by the woman in front of him. "If I am tasked with working for you two, then it would be neglect of duty to leave now. I certainly would not want to get in trouble." The notion was ironic, for, of course, he had no concerns about what his assignment was for the day. But Kovac knew he was already in trouble, deep. That trouble did nothing to deter him now. His hand lifted to press the tips of his fingers lightly to the tanner's side, at the lowest rib, the very spot in their dream where he had shoved his own rib bone into her torso. A roguish grin flashed at Chemar. It was a reminder that, even in the dream, she did not always control him.
