Name: Hassarannassena
Also Known As: Annassena
Age/135, Sex/Female
Race/Dhani, Subrace/Viper
Alias/ Anna Sena
Appearance/
In all forms, Annassena is scarred extensively on her back from the claws of a Zith. They are prominent, and while some scar tissue marks her stomach and arms, the scars on her back are the most noticeable. Additionally, the Gnosis of Akajia, a dark blue triangle, sits between Annassena's shoulders in her human and Dhani form, while it rests just behind her skull in her serpent form.
Human;
A small, voluptuous woman, Annassena stands at 4'10" and weighs a slight 95 lbs. She moves quick and fast when she fights. Her hair is long and white-blonde, while her eyes are a very bright, unnatural green. The colour of her eyes alone can usually betray her as a Dhani, although she almost always tries to conceal this with honeyed seduction. Her face is fair and unmarked, beautiful by many degrees, and is the main weapon in her seduction.
Dhani;
A slim Dhani, Annassena is about 10 feet long and weighs almost 250 lbs, which can fluctuate if she eats large enough prey. Her scales are primarily white, but banded with yellows and flecked through with reds. The black pattern of her serpent form is also visible, intertwining with yellow and red. In this form, she favours her speed over her strength.
Serpent;
Long. Graceful. Poisonous. Annassena is 8 feet long as a serpent, and her scales remain the pale colour they have as a Dhani. The bands of yellow are thinner, however, and are intermingled with faint patterns of black and red flecking. Her eyes are much more luminous as a serpent, and her long body is slim and incredibly quick.
History/
Annassena was born in 376 AV in Ahnatep. She grew up in the hot desert, having fun with the other snakelings. She, as a sociable Dhani, would bond with as many other Dhani as possible, and when she acquired her Dhani form, she expanded her sociable behavior to encompass two or three Eypharians. Always a curious one, Annassena would roam the tunnels under Ahnatep alone, seeking to learn every single secret muttered between serpents and prisoners, collecting all knowledge and storing it away to offer it to the Goddess of Shadows.
As she grew older, learning more about the world from the shadows, she developed a serious case of Wanderlust, and decided that she would go out and explore Mizahar, eating her way through every race and mating every male she felt drawn to.
Her mother, Hassara, was killed by a hunting party of Zith when Annassena was still young, leaving her daughter in the care of other Dhani mothers in the Nest. She grew up close to these women, and although she has not borne any children for her Nest, she still enjoys their company. She teaches them the secrets of the darkness so that they, too, can come to love Akajia as much as she. Currently, however, she is roaming away from the Nest while it is hot. Her reasons for doing so are to take the secrets of others... And to take mates among different races, including Akajia's sons.
Personality/
Annassena can be described, by other Vipers, as playful, curious, and lively. To a prisoner or outsider, she is vicious, cunning, and cruel. Her form as a human is inherently beautiful, and she will use it to seduce men, usually non-Eypharians, like Benshira, to satisfy her physical desires before she devours them in a deadly mating sacrifice. She knows no remorse, no regret, and feels nothing for the death of others, unless the dead are fellow Dhani. She is territorial, full of desires, and protective of her Nest. Her greatest identifiable feature would be her inherent desire to learn all secrets, great or small. She is therefore sly, sneaky, and extremely manipulative.
Likes; Dislikes/
Annassena, if asked, would not know how to define what she likes or dislikes. In general, she loves the heat of Eyktol, the darkness of the tunnels where a single word could pass from a mouth to an ear far away. She loves the night, the sand, the physical pleasure provided by sex. She hates very few, and dislikes even less. Outsiders top these lists, and the outsiders who come to kill Dhani are even more hated.

Gnosis/
Night Stalking - 1
It was dark when Annassena swept from her favoured tunnel under Ahnatep and made her way to where the stars crowned the darkness Leth brought to the land. She was still young, having attained her Dhani form not a decade before, and was foolish. She had crept from Ahnatep to listen to the whispers of the wind passing along the sand, and had paid no heed to the shrieking of the Zith as it sought out an enemy worthy to prove himself to his colony.
Annassena always listened to the darkness, always reveled in it's cloak, and, despite the beliefs of the others in the Nest, felt that the shadows were another living being, although one that could not fall into death like flesh-beings. To Annassena, the shadows were beautiful, as much as life was. The stars crowned the darkness. The wind whispered to them. Leth held them in esteem.
Since she was a hatchling, learning the world, she had listened to the prisoners due for torturing whisper in their cages, keeping her form hidden so none could see her and kill her. The men and women prayed to their gods and goddesses, and one man, alone in his worship, spoke to one he called Akajia, Queen of Shadows. Around him, Annassena watched the shadows dance. They enjoyed his presence. They spoke to him in secret, and she knew this because he would speak and pause and speak again. And, unknown to her, for she knew not their language, they told the man of her presence. It was the day that the prisoners were being moved for torture that the man coaxed the serpent out of where she hid and whispered to her, in the tongue known as Common, of the beauty of the darkness and the secrets the shadows held for others to find. He entranced Annassena, even after he had died, for she had kept his words locked in her mind until she understood Common enough to learn them. Ever since she realized the shadows were there, listening and watching, she loved them, and devoted prayers to the Dark Goddess as well as to the Goddess Caiyha.
The evening she had come to listen, to try to understand the shadows and hear the voices the man had spoken of, she felt that they were much more alive than usual. Like a million eyes and a thousand fingers they circled her, touching and seeing. She had spent years sitting alone in the darkness, her focus only on the dark voices the man had spoken to her about, the ones that had eluded her but she knew were around her. Now, as she listened to try to catch a word, the wind silenced, and the shadows darkened. Annassena heard then the shriek of the Zith as it dropped down to her, and she flared her hood in rage, hissing as she was struck and writhing under the form of the young Zith.
Scratching, shrieking, the Zith tried to tear the Dhani to pieces, but the Dhani writhed and bucked and managed to sink her fangs into his arm, and when he jumped off of her with a scream, she coiled and sprung, driving her fangs into his shoulder and locking him to her in her arms as he ripped at her back weakly, drawing rivulets of blood until he slumped, dead in her arms.
When she raised her head and dropped the body, a woman stood before her, with a beauty even greater than the shadows she seemed to have sprung from. Annassena coiled, afraid of another Zith attack, but the woman smiled and spoke in the most divine voice Annassena had ever heard. With a voice as velvet as night, as rich as blood, Akajia addressed Annassena.
"You've spent so much time whispering to me, Annassena," said She in her divine voice. "Telling me your secrets, sharing your desires. And now, before me, you have shared your strength. We've watched you at the request of my Irst whom you watched yourself. You've told us everything, spoken of every single secret you have heard whispered past the lips of your people. Do you have anything else to tell us?"
Annassena quailed. This Goddess was the most beautiful creature she had ever seen. She could not speak. Her voice would diminish the presence of the woman, she knew it, and she had no desire to do such a thing. She could only revel in her presence, soak the shadows that pressed in on her skin. Her silence seemed to amuse the Dark Woman, and she circled the young Dhani, who never turned to watch her movements. Akajia reached out and brushed her fingers over Annassena's back, stroking fire onto her skin and lighting her with the dark flame of the shadows.
"You don't need to whisper to us anymore, Annassena... We'll hear you better now if you speak to us alone." Akajia's voice had grown even more impossibly rich with the strange language she spoke, a language that Annassena could only relate as the language of the night herself. The shadows whispered in voices she could hear now, voices as fair as Akajia's had been. "Love us, Annassena, and we'll follow you." Akajia's voice faded and the excited whispers of the shadows died down to a murmur. Annassena lifted her eyes to see that the darkness that had clouded the world had faded, and when she turned her eyes around, she felt the blood flow even more fiercely from her back. She turned, facing the Nest she had emerged from, and tumbled her way into the hold of the healers there.
The shadows followed.
