OCC: Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome so long as they can pay the caravan leader.
Travel time: Three weeks
Cool summer mornings were a blessing in disguise as many Drykas males were busy packing large caravans for a long trip to Riverfall. Their summer trade routes were beginning early to get a step up on their competition from the other major cities. It took a good amount of time and information for Trios to track down the leader of the large Endrykas caravan but the feeling of jubilation at finding the man was somewhat salted by the fact that he knew this trip would be costly. “You have no idea how long I’ve been wanting to get out of this city…I also take it that you won’t be offering free trips from the kindness of your heart?” Grumbled Trios looking at a shirtless and tattooed Drykas who apparently was the leader of the Caravan. It was kind of hard to appear intimidating when the other man lay blissfully against his Caravan as his men behind him worked to load their wagons. Another thing was that the Drykas knew that Trios needed his service and not the other way around. “75 mizas, and I’ll even let you sit upfront instead of tucked away against the furs” Joked the Drykas knowing he had the Isur by his blue man parts. Trios knew it and he didn’t like it as he was sure the Drykas was most likely milking him for all he could. The price caused Trios cursed beneath his breath before reaching for his money. The sound of gold rimmed mizas jingling made the caravan leader smiled arrogantly. “All right I accept the price…..I’ll toss my things in one of your wagons than…..(I’ll be damned if you charge me to load my own gear.)” Said the Isur tossing the leader his money before muttering the last bit under his breath. The Drykas gave an appreciative wave at the transaction when Trios left limping on his cane to gather his things. Riverfall couldn’t come quick enough the smell of horse droppings and hunting banter was wearing thin. Part of the Isur’s foul mood was a result from the throbbing pain in his right leg as he moved in the cool summer morning. Hopefully the healers in Riverfall would have the proper means to fix the damage, using a cane to walk was an irritation he’d love to lose. “Soon….soon enough things’ll finally go my way” Growled the Isur darkly thinking about his future. Riverfall would be a perfect opportunity to fulfill his goals. Soon enough he’d be free with the wind would be in his face again and water below his feet. The price of freedom he knew would be steep, but he’d gladly pay it when the time came. . |
