[The Golden Dragon] Dilapidated Dreams [Ever]

Postby Drask on July 19th, 2011, 6:35 pm

Her velvet voice was what broke him. The words she whispered were the keys that unlocked what few locks still held him in control. His animal had been released already, granted, but now he was an animal. He growled loudly, his eyes gleaming with ferocious hunger, dangerous and wild. He was on the verge of shifting, but he (and the animal inside) knew that the pleasure he was feeling would vanish should he change his form.

He lifted his head, and howled. Its pitch was beautifully low, like a choir composed only of cellos playing a bastardized version of Bach. Warmth seeped from him into his companion, sending immense waves of ecstasy pulsating through his body, shaking the very frame of his being. His arms shook with the pain he exerted on them, still holding tightly onto the bedspread. His legs shivered in sync with the waves and his howl reached a climax of its own. The moment seemed to last an eternity, and then some.

It seemed like a long time until the warmth ceased to flow, but it still lingered in both of them. He lowered himself back to Ever and panted heavily onto her chest. Slowly, his eyes opened and revealed the bright irises again. They beamed at Ever. With painstakingly slow movement, he leaned forwards and softly pressed his lips to her own. He whispered her name into her mouth. Breathy, and something else.

Now a Rainbow's tale isn't quite as nice
As the story we knew of sugar and spice
But a Rainbow's easy once you get to know it
With the help of the magic of a Pegasus device.

[The Golden Dragon] Dilapidated Dreams [Ever]

Postby Ever on July 20th, 2011, 1:58 pm

Ever tried hard to hold herself together, but was failing miserably. When he tossed his head back, and howled her earlier expectations about him being a Kelvic were right, but whether he was a dog or a wolf, she did not know. The sound of it tore through her, making her shiver as his body vibrated with the loud noise. A few more thrusts, and she couldn't take it. It had thrown her over the edge. She bit her lip, squirming, and trying to hold in a loud moan, only letting the smallest sounds and whimpers escape her lips, as she tossed her head to breathe into the pillow.

He came to rest upon her then, and when she turned to look at him, she was met by his stunning golden eyes. For what seemed like forever, they stared at one another, never looking away. Slowly, oh so slowly, he leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss to her lips, which she took with no objection and returned the gesture. He had said her name against her lips, and she could have sworn he had said something else, but she wasn't really sure. She couldn't quite hear it over their panting. "Hmm?" She whispered quietly, humming against his lips.

[The Golden Dragon] Dilapidated Dreams [Ever]

Postby Drask on July 20th, 2011, 4:32 pm

Drask was afraid to repeat it. Afraid that she may not share his feelings. Afraid that she would not understand. He didn't know why he had such strong emotions for a woman he had only just met, but it didn't feel wrong. He felt attached to her. Felt loyal to her. Like a family dog. He wanted to say it. But he couldn't. "Ever... I..." his stomach knotted. He wanted to say the 3 simple words. Just 3 words. His heart ached and his stomach tightened. What if she wasn't interested in him? What if tonight's events were not performed because they were genuinely fond of each other? Had she done this before? How many times? He let his lips part from hers and gently rested them on her ear.

"I love you" he said, barely audible despite the closeness.

"I want to be with you, Ever." he placed a firm hand on the side of her face, fearful that she might vanish like a dream. She felt so real. He wanted so badly for her to say she did too. He wanted to be her faithful companion. Her lover. Her protector. His fingers ran through her hair like a fish through water. It was silky and smooth. He wanted it to be his. But he wanted his entire being to be hers. To be her pet.

Again, negative thoughts clouded his mind. "she doesn't love you!" "you're nothing but Miza to her!" "she's probably slept with other men!". They entered his head without invitation, causing chaos and terror. He tried to block them out, tried to push them away. He wanted to believe otherwise, But who could love a man with wolf living in him?

No

He blocked the thoughts. He wasn't going to get worked up like this. He had to be calm and collected. Maybe Ever didn't love him. But that was how the world worked. Anything to survive. He was raised on that phrase, and he of all people knew what it entailed. He would be heartbroken, yes. But it was not in his power to say what she should do. He did want her to love him. To accept him as... A pet? A lover? He wasn't sure. Maybe both? If she didn't, it wouldn't be the first time he was heartbroken. And it certainly wouldn't be the last. Drask pulled back and severed the physical connection between them, relocating to the space next to her on the bed. The time that was spent in the silence seemed like hours. He waited for her response.

[The Golden Dragon] Dilapidated Dreams [Ever]

It was times like these that Ever truly hated herself. This boy had just poured his heart out to her, and she honestly didn't know what to say back to him. It was this damn job, it was her cursed life that made her feel this emotionless. She felt something for him, a geniune connection that exists between two people when they are compatible, but was it love? No, it wasn't but she did not have the heart to tell him. This was all happening so fast. "Drask...I."

'You what? What are you going to say to him? Shoot him down? Yeah, sounds like me,' she thought bitterly to herself.

She swallowed, and took a breathe, cutting through the silence as she began to speak, "I'm not sure...what to say to you, Drask." She felt her heart begin to pound. Since when has she ever felt this bad about turning someone down? "I'm not the type of person to fall in love...right away. I've been that way my entire life." She sat up, bringing her knees to her chest, glancing sideways at him for a seconds, before staring back down at the sheets. "I'm not going to lie to you and say I love you. But, maybe not now," She turned to look at him, "But that doesn't mean I couldn't love you."

'Yeah smooth, any moment now and he's going to call you a bitch and run out.' She sighed, "but you wouldn't want to be with someone like me anyway. Not a person who has this kind of job. I'm not good for you, at all." She felt her heart drop into her stomach. What would he say to that?

[The Golden Dragon] Dilapidated Dreams [Ever]

Drask sighed. Her words were soft, and it certainly helped soften the blow. The more he though about it, the more he began to doubt his words. "I love you" had seemed like the appropriate thing to say, but was it in the spur of the moment? Maybe... But he still felt something for her. His hand rubbed at the back of his neck. His fears had come true. Her line of work did require her perform similar tasks as the one tonight. Drask felt embarrassed and ashamed.

"Well... Can we at least be... I don't know... Friends?" he immediately regretted saying it. He sounded pathetic, almost begging. His eyes looked dim, now, and dull. Sad.

Snap out of it, Drask. You're a Blackridge. We always rise up from the ashes! He straightened up, and there was a new fire to his eyes. "I know, Ever, and I am happy that you care so much for my wellbeing. Maybe if we had met some other way... he turned to her again, a polite smile on his lips. "If it helps any, it was great time. You are very... Talented" he tried to be careful with his words, knowing she was distraught from his sudden proposal.

He held her hand in his and widened his smile. "Thank you" his eyes were pleasant, much brighter than they were a few moments ago . Breaking his gaze he slid himself up underneath the covers, resting on one elbow to look at Ever. He was already back to his cheery self, but his heart was still trying to mend itself. "Still... Could I have honor of dreaming with you? he put his hand on an exposed section of the bed next to him.

[The Golden Dragon] Dilapidated Dreams [Ever]

Ever offered him a smile, before taking her place next to him. Getting comfortable she moved to press her back against him, finding his warmth a little coomforting. "Friends....that would be nice." She smiled to herself, shutting her eyes as she laid her head down on the soft pillow. "Now, how could I ever say no to that?" She let out a breathe, smiling into the warm moments as they faded into sleep.

She slept there, next to him, for the rest of the night, until the sun rose the next day. Where sadly, she then had to take her leave. She was at the doorway, dressed and ready to face the day, but she couldn't stop herself from looking back at the boy still sleeping in the bed. Oh, how she hated herself. Silently, she left the room, shutting the door behind her. She walked down the hall, her boots in her hand, eyes down cast to the floor. She smiled weakly. What was she thinking even considering the possibilty of falling in love.

It was best to leave that emotion to dwell in her dilapidated dreams...
