Ciryll followed Darren's gaze to the racy dresses, and she noted that they were attractive. Far more attractive on the display then they'd be on her late blooming body. She flushed and pulled her outer cloak shut tight around herself feeling very self conscious as he pointed out her obvious youth. Yeah well, at least I don't need to spend all their money on stupid new clothes all the time anyways. She consoled herself mentally, but it did nothing to lessen her feelings of inadequacy. She continued to openly follow him around the store.
"It's... not that blue." She mumbled, "besides you seem to think it's good enough for your clothes." Ciryll skulked, looking away. She was impressed by the sight of his naked chest, but not in any lustful way- she'd seen plenty of naked flesh from observing various secret trysts. She found herself more impressed by the musculature of it, it was the product of either much work or very gifted lineage. She glared furiously at the floor, refusing to allow this jerk even the slightest hint of anything resembling admiration. She grumbled something inarticulate in response to the statement about cherishing her youth, her stock response to all who offered that tidbit.
Ciryll could tell she was getting under his skin, but that little voice that tells people when they've gone too far? Ciryll didn't have one of those. This was almost but not quite as much fun as stalking. "Family?" Something nagged at a corner of her mind but she couldn't place it. She felt a little put on the spot by his ironic smile. A perplexed expression flickered across her face, "... should I know who you are? Other than that guy who puts holes in peoples walls." She smirked.
Ciryll pulled back as the strong hand grabbed the cuff of her shirt, but she had no way of breaking his grip. Ciryll could really have used one of those little voices that tell you when to stop right about now, but instead she was caught up in the moment. She could tell she'd struck a nerve, and she had to keep pushing it. "What I said," she twisted a bit, trying to loosen his grasp. "Is that you look like someone with girl problems. Probably because you're nuts."
All of Ciryll's blood rushed to her face, becoming almost luminous with her flush. She hadn't heard anything beyond the first part about making her a woman. "Wuh, Wo," her tongue felt heavy and mouth was struggling to feel out the syllables of the word. "Woa, Woman!? WOMAN!?" Her raised voice was only slightly hysterical. "Not for all the whale bone in the ocean! Of all the- you- YOU!" She spluttered. Her hand flew of it's own accord, her open palm aiming to slap him squarely across his cheek.
