Roleplaying question

I'm not exactly sure how to RP here. O__O

I looked at different example on different threads, but I still don't understand.

I feel very stupid for asking this. x__x
Can someone explain how to Roleplay to me?

Here is a thread I did with one of my PCs friends. You write a post and then the other person write a post. It pretty much goes like that until you are done.

Just describe your character's actions/thoughts/words in your post, along with the scenery and setting and then someone will post in response to those actions. Make sure not to control the other character's actions.

What kind of roleplay are you used to? It might help us to know what you're more accustomed to so we know how forum RP is different to you.
