Home of the Konti people, this ivory city is built of native konti stone half in and half out of the sea. Its borders touch the Silverwood, and stretch upwards towards Silver Lake, home of the infamous konti vision water. [Lore]

Spring 62nd, 511AV Unity Circle, Mid-morning
Ora had woken up late on the 62nd, not on purpose, but she simply slept longer than she had intended to. The Konti found herself walking across the isle and into the unity circle, the area was already bubbling with activity. Konti woman stood and sat about, some were chatting calmly and enjoying the morning sun, while others were selling goods and bartering with one another. Ora smiled at her sisters as their quiet demeanor went about their day.
The young woman smiled and nodded at any one who acknowledged her, polite “Hello”'s and “Good Morning”'s were exchanged. It was not hard to see that Ora felt quite at peace surrounded by all these women. While Ora did not strike up a conversation with any of them, she moved to sit silently on a white, stone bench under a tree covered with white leaves and flowers.
The breeze passed through the circle as Ora looked around. It was a quiet day, much like any other, and it was peaceful. The konti found her mind wandering to her time spent in other cities, and the drastic difference between Mura and the other cities. Such hustle and bustle in Syliras! You'd think everyone was preparing for some grand event with how busy it was. Riverfall was an entire different bucket of worms, one which Ora didn't care to muddle through.
Violet eyes closed behind pale lids as the woman took a deep breath in. The soft sounds of the city filled her ears and relaxed her muscles. Why had she even left in the first place? Such a foolish undertaking when so little is known about the task at hand. While it hadn't even been a full year, Ora knew she had grown leaps and bounds from when she had been on the island before. Now she was wiser, and she could finish her task with the knowledge she had accumulated.
And that book... Ora's eyes flashed opened, a hand rubbed her left shoulder, thin fingers trailing over the small round scar she had received. The past is the past. Ora's hand dropped and returned to her lap, a small smile crossed her face as she watched some of the very young konti girls playing. |

Gemtana had woken up early to get to the ocean before the sun rose. She fluttered her way through the empty streets to the shores as the first pinks and oranges of sunrise painted themselves onto the ocean canvas. She set down her satchel and removed her bikini top and dove into the chilled waters. She was here to feel the refreshing water on her skin, to bathe, and to acquire some breakfast.
She darted through the fiery looking waters as the sun rose. She was swimming lithely, powerfully, this being one of her natural habitats. She was staying near the surface when she saw a school of fish racing ahead of her. They were doing something she'd never seen before. They were very skinny, and silvery with large side fins. They would slice through the water, but occasionally would break the surface and glide! They didn't glide for long before diving back into the water, but it amazed Gemtana. It's as if the fish wanted to be Akvatari like her. This made her incredibly happy that she didn't even bother trying to catch one to eat.
She eventually found a fat slow moving fish. It was surprisingly plump and just swimming lazily. This confused her, as most slow moving fish were eaten unless they were protected by coral or a school. She soon found out why it was able to live on its own. She dove down and made to grab at it, when it was just gone. She looked around stunned and saw it making it's escape a lot faster than appeared possible. She swam powerfully after it, her tail moving up and down in powerful strokes. She managed to close the gap a little but the large fish was amazingly fast. The chase lead all around the area and Gemtana was beginning to tire with the fish showing no such signs. She was about to give up when she noticed they were nearing the shallows near shore. It eventually reached where it would have to turn. She preempted to cut it off. She dove right. It cut left. It had eluded her. She sighed and left the water. She would return later to eat.
She gathered her satchel and got dressed, the sun fully risen now. She fluttered back to town. Her body was still a bit tired so she took it slow. She began to pass a bench occupied by a woman when her stomach let loose a loud rumbling hunger growl. Surely the woman would have heard. Gemtana blushed and tried to scurry away before her embarrassment grew. |

Violet eyes had been shut from the surrounding goings-on, but her other senses remained quite active. She listened as woman and other occupants of the city passed by, she listened to the birds, the wind, everything was calm. Then a loud, disgruntled grumbled passed by and violet eyes flashed open to see a beautiful, albeit dripping Akvatari with a very hungry stomach.
The konti zoned in on the woman with a small smile. She had not seen an Akvatari in years, they were quite the creature and Ora very much loved her peaceful, although moody, company. “Why, Hello, miss?” The Konti stood and watched up to the slow moving woman.
“I do not wish to be offensive, but I could not help but over hear your stomach.” The konti offered a friend smile and small bow to the blushing woman. “I am Ora Sa'vina. Would you like to have breakfast? My treat.” The konti said sincerely as she began to walk with the woman. Ora held her hands behind her back, her fingers interlaced.
The market was busy with itself, a few woman were selling food, simple Konti dishes. Fresh fruit with grilled fish was popular, and easy to eat. The fruit was chopped into small chunks, the fish treated the same and all the bits were then skewered with a thin stick. “How long have you been here? I do not recognize you, on the other hand, I do not always get out as much as I should.” The woman spoke softly, delicately, her words were whimsical and cheerful, much like her expression, upbeat and content.
Ora walked up to the vendor who sold the fruit and fish. “Would you like one?” Had the Akvatari said yes, the Konti would happily buy two, if not, the young woman would try to find something more appetizing for her morning companion. |
