Remembering how painful her leg must be for her when she walked served to fill him up with a yearning to go and find a healer already but he knew that they would need to get some stuff before that was even possible. It seemed so trivial, but at the same time so vital to their survival if they were going to make it out there weakened as they where, and they would need every advantage they could get out in the wild streets, and alleys. "
I'll make sure no blades find me this day " he said softly with a confident smile, though he knew that Sunberth was a unpredictable place and he had no way of controlling that. Still he could always hope that beyond a doubt he would stay safe out their if he kept his head low, and minded his own business. There was always that wild card but he disregarded that and instead focused on Cass again, giving her shoulders a light squeeze and planting another soft kiss on her lips before turning around and leaving, the door swishing closed behind him.
Then he was off making his way quickly from room to room till he was outside in the Castle commons and then immediately headed for a market he knew all to well, something that could help them along their way in things that they needed. The sun was ungodly bright today, and he was sure it was a sentiment Cass would share with him where she out here with him, and the thought elicited a pang of sadness within him as he found that he really missed her, but if he went about his business quickly he would be back by her side in no time. Thinking of her brought a smile to his face, and his eyes darted about to the various stalls and shops to see if any of them had what he needed.
The cobblestone walk was buzzing with activity, various people scurrying about from one end of the street to the next, their garbled chatter drowning down into a dull hum all around him, as the direct sunlight unhindered by any clouds beat down upon them all causing them to sweat and fill the air with a mixture of odors. It wasn't at all a pleasant smell to him, not at all similar to the smell of Cass the previous night, oh how he wished he was near her. The fact that he couldn't go long without thinking about her astounded him, but then again he felt somehow connected to her so he supposed he shouldn't consider that a surprise.
All the thought buzzing around in his head disappeared however when he saw a man standing beside some wooden racks holding cloths, likely his wares and source of income. The only thing between him was a throng of rather exceptionally dirty individuals, who smelled none to pleasant, but motivated that he was doing it for Cass he pushed his way through the men and women, finally immerging from the other side of the fleshy wall several moments later. Straitening up his cuirass he made eye contact with the merchant and nodded his greetings.
The vendor had a fine selection to be had he saw, possessing a majority of cotton products but a couple made from finer materials like silk or velvet. He knew he could't just by what he wanted and leave, the merchant would expect him to barter and if he didn't he would look like he had coin to spread around and likely catch the eye of a pickpocket. "
Greetings sir, may I have a look at your wares? " he asked and upon receiving little other than a nod and a bestial grunt saying something along the lines of don't steal anything or I'll slit your throat, he walked around examining the racks with both him and Cass in mind. Something in particular caught his eyes, a delicate pair of black silk gloves lying in a box and he bent over and retrieved them putting them on the man's table before looking around some more.
Finally after a bell's worth in time he had found all that he needed and put them on a table in a stack, while looking over to the now smiling merchant, obviously looking forward to swindling him. In the pile was a cotton hood, a pair of black silk gloves, a average dress that he had managed to find, which to his dismay was the only dress the man had in stock, a black tunic, two large cotton cloaks, a pair of cotton breeches, and two sets of high black boots. "
How much for these? " he asked calmly pretending to be ignorant of the prices that these items usually went for. "
My, my, buying for a lady friend are ye?, well I feel for ye so I’m going to cut ye a deal, 30 gold mizas for the whole lot! " the grubby man said as if he was stating something totally unheard of, and for a second he almost believed him. Almost.
"
Aye, but you got to understand, I don't have much in the way of coin, and I was a clothing vendor once upon a time till my shop got burnt to a crisp, I'm simply needing something to wear and I think ye be over charging me a bit don't you think? How bout we go for 15 gold mizas and call it a deal? " he said, almost as undercutting the price as the man was over selling it. "
Bah you intend to run me out of business you be trying right their, no! No sir! I won’t sell it for anything under 25 gold mizas! " the shopkeeper blurted waving his hands about in an angry fashion. "
But sir surely you understand I have fallen on some hard times, surely you could settle for 18 gold mizas? " he pleaded, trying to lower the price. "
No! I'll bring it down to 22 gold mizas but that's my final offer " the man growled, and begrudgingly Darian handed him the coins, and picked up the pile of cloths. There he had gotten what he needed and could be back to Cass in no time.

It had been a harder trek back, but eventually he made it back to the inn they where staying and up to their room, and raising his fist he knocked on the door.
Hopefully Cass will like these clothes he thought with a grin.
I have retired Darian, and I apologize for any inconveniences this has caused with anyone threading with this character. Feel free to NPC him in any threads that he is involved in if that is of course ok with the moderator. Again, I am sorry for any inconveniences.
