Asara Willow
And because I can't take an eye for an eye, in the afterlife I'll hold you 'til you die.
Asara Willow is the daughter of pure blood Symenestra parents and bears the distinct racial appearance of such a heritage. Born AV 492, she is 19 years old. She is small, though, for her race, standing at a height of about 4'10" and weighing at approximately 75 pounds wet. Her hair is either white, in the darkness of a cave and lit by the light of the moon, or silver if it is wet, and it is incredibly long, textured like the softest feathers. Her slanted eyes are pale gold, but they darken with emotion or hunger. She is beautiful, even among her race, but her height was once the source of much teasing. Her skin is incredibly fair, even ashen, with a scar curling along her waist. One small scar curls under her left eye, darker against her pale skin and another marks her hairline. She has perfect white teeth, yet her canines are delicate and hint at subtle danger. Contrary to others of her race, she has undertaken the grueling task of filing down her tough nails so as to wear riding gloves. At one point, Asara concealed her appearance, having encountered racial discrimination during her first encounter with a human, an encounter that quickly became fatal. Sadly, Asara does not know what Web she belongs to, nor if one claims her at all.
Personality wise, Asara is considerably inquisitive, curious to a fault. She doesn't understand remorse, or guilt, but she has felt the emotion known as sadness at one of her more offensive actions. She doesn't like smiling, finding the facial movement uncomfortable and alien, but has before in very select moments. Usually, she isn't aware she is smiling. Asara can also be viewed as a social 'freak', acting in a bizarre manner when in crowds, although she does try to avoid them for the sake of keeping safe. She has been known to randomly caress a stranger, running her thin fingers along their cheek or hand, and even playing with their hair. It is an urge brought on by loneliness, a desire to have someone by her side, yet she would never dare to take a mate without knowing they'd keep her safe and protect her frail body, even from passionate love. Additionally, although Asara is a healthy young female, she suffers from frequent headaches that leave her bedridden and hungry. She believes her headaches are the result of her blow to the head, although she isn't a doctor and doesn't really know. Additionally, living inside of her is a dark personality. She named it Sitana, and has taken enjoyment out of ignoring it, much to its chagrin.
Due to her nomadic lifestyle, Asara has few friends but for her horse, Zafkil, and the occasional spider she meets along her way. Being as odd and obsessive as she is, she will spend her rest time during the afternoon talking to her horse or the spiders she encounters, harvesting from the spiders the ingredients required for her poisons.
Asara is a notorious claustrophobe, finding crowds of people oppressive, and she is also deathly afraid of centipedes and heat. For this she sleeps during the day and travels at night, using her incredible visoion to see approaching people before they notice her, although she is wary of night predators. She bears crowded taverns in order to keep learning new things, and yet she tries to avoid the more clustered areas.
Despite her quiet nature and her cool disposition, Asara does not view people as enemies or allies, just potential tools to be used on her quest and goal. She has few morals, finding nothing wrong with killing for sustenance or even stealing, and she most certainly doesn't believe in personal space for others, although if someone touches her without invitation she quickly hisses and extends her fangs. Other times her fangs extend are when she is agitated or irritated, or even extremely hungry, which occurs quite a lot thanks to her chosen lifestyle.
Asara likes to eat fruits more than anything, mashing them to make them easier to digest, and prefers pears over any other fruit, although she is partial to bananas and strawberries, often going out of her way just to acquire them. She'd even stoop to begging, although her vanity often prevents this from succeeding. Meat is not a favorite food of Asara's, thanks to her previous encounter with human flesh. Sadly, Asara suffers a 'crave' of sorts for the hunt of the humans surrounding her, and she can find herself following a stray human without the intention to do so. She credits this to her investigative nature and pulls out of the hunt. To satisfy the resulting hunger, Asara will return to her encampment outside of Syliras and hunt small wood rodents and beasts, even drinking from bird eggs. Her headaches are usually fiercer at this time, and she finds herself short of temper and aggravated.
Past
Heaven doesn't exist for demons like us.
Asara Willow woke up one day as the sun set, unable to recall who she was exactly, outside of her name, and she did not recall why she was unconscious, except that a trail of blood ran from her skull, hinting at a blow to the head and a resulting concussion. She took up wandering on foot and came upon a lonely farm, where she then encountered a farmer who immediately tried to kill her. In retaliation, Asara bit the man, injecting a fatal dose of venom, and spent the next two days feeding off him and regaining her strength. Leaving his body where she fed off it, she then collected enough gear to keep her going and procured riding clothes and stole a horse from the nearby stable. After that, she took to the road, seeking answers, and finding in herself the desire to become an assassin to make money, but deciding to stick to story telling until her experience rose enough.
Traveling the way she does, Asara will sometimes gaze at the stars instead of watching the road ahead.

Racism (Humans, Basic) - Asara has developed an intense hate for the human race, which before was only a suspicious resentment. Now Asara cannot be around a human and feel comfortable, safe, or calmed. Asara is not so heavily effected that she cannot control her racist thoughts, but she cannot stop her mind from always thinking like this. Experiencing Humans that oppose Asara's Racist assumptions can disarm this view, and further experience of Untrustworthy, Cruel, or Despicable Humans can increase her resentment.
Asara possesses two books stolen from the farmer, both written in Kontinese, a language which Asara has little knowledge of.
