Why did Kaja have to ask that question, Akilah despaired, before pasting a smile on. Damara was still watching, watching rather closely in fact. "It tastes wonderful, if only a bit sweet."
Later, when they were out of earshot, she'd explain to Kaja, but for now all that mattered was that Damara didn't find out about the drink.
"Ah...you do know where most things are..." Akilah stroked her chin, thinking. "Everything else you can figure out using those basics...hmmm...." A tour of the rest of the place was out of the question, then. Kaja didn't need to see the same place twice.
And she'd invite Kaja to one of the games her friends were probably playing, but then she'd have to play too. Her muscles would be sore enough tomorrow as it is without any added strain.
Glancing up at the slowly sinking sun, she suggested, "Should we return to your friend, then?"
