Day 1 Summer 511 AV

Corinth practically jumped at the thunder that was Cade's laugh. I don't think he is aware of his own enormity.. She took another look at the...interesting character Cade was motioning to. She took a small sip of the honey mead. wow.
"Ha! Well a beauty such as myself actually grew up on her father's farm that was pretty much taken from her this morning. So here I am. In this lovely tavern trying to figure out what my next move is. Starting with a place to sleep. I have a tent. I have a horse. And at this moment I can add a good drink to my list of current possessions. So tell me, what are these 'possibilities your seeking? I could use hope for possibilities I suppose..." Corinth started the monologue with a sarcastic tone but the reality of her situation set in and her voice turned to an airy sort rather than playful. Right...where AM I going to sleep tonight..I almost forgot for a good minute. He has turned into a pleasant distraction hasn't he...possibly a brief distraction.

The girl was homeless, a topic that he could relate to sides the fact that Cade chose to be homeless. One that lives his lifestyle cannot stay in place on a permanent basis unless he is looking for a short life. This girl had his fancy thus far and he was not yet to be discouraged " Well Cor.....if you don't mind me calling you Cor? you shouldn't worry where you lay this night. We can share my tent and I make sure you stay warm" His smile was innocent, by far more innocent then his words were. " Lets speak of who made you homeless for i be interested in the person that tossed such a beautiful treasure to the exposure of this world"

Cade took another gulp of his mead reaching his long arm across the table with his hand gently grasping hers " Or we could speak of other topics if that pleases you?"

Day 1 Summer 511 AV

This fella was not going to give up. Corinth could respect that. It was flattering. And why not take a chance on this beast of a man...if he doesn't kill me..heh. Maybe I'll kill him. My father always said women should be the death of all men. I suppose I am complicated enough.

Corinth looked down at Cade's hand. It was massive compared to hers. Her hands weren't typical soft hands of the average woman though. She had spent her life laboring in feilds. Weilding various tools for harvest and the working of hard ground. Her hands had been burnt by the overflow of boiling water while cooking for her father in the absence of her mother.

That was all gone now. She couldn't keep up the land herself, small though it was. To say the land was taken wasn't necessarily a fair statement. It was a trade with the farmer whose land grew alongside hers. She needed to get out of that cottage. It was nothing but ghosts and sorrow. She didn't need anymore of that.

"Alright Cade. You win. I'll be happy to share a tent with you tonight...as long as you keep your hands to youself!" she replied laughing. "And as for calling me Cor..only you can." Corinth replied with a wink and a blush. Her father called her Cor and so did some of her childhood friends such as Drayton and others. She didn't particularly like the shortning of her name but she put up with it when it came to people she felt comfortable with. And in the very short time she was acquanted with Cade, she indeed felt comfortable.

Darian walked into the crowded tavern with something that could only seen as a pronounced swagger. On the surface he appeared to be wearing just a simple cloak, a tunic, breeches, and a pair high black boots, looking rather drab in comparison to the people of the tavern because his outfit was just a mixture of grays and black. To an inebriated individual, he might even look exotic with his deep burning hazel eyes, and his blacker than black hair that flowed down to his shoulders but not an inch farther. Perhaps it was just the air of confidence he alluded to with his every step, as he confidently made his way towards the back of the inn, taking empty seat at a table that appeared to be already occupied by an assortment of strangers. He wore no weapons out in the open the open either, and for now the hood of his cloak he wore down around his shoulders.

Slowly he examined each and every one of the people occupying the table, a rather large man, barbarian blood perhaps, a smaller one, perhaps a shadow foot, and a slender woman whom he did not make any assumptions about. Raising his hands slowly to rest on the oaken table in front of him, he decided to look to the barbarian and talk to him first since he obviously looked like the leader of the gathering. " Haven’t seen you around in the city, and I've been here all my life so this is quite the rare. Who might you be? " he asked in a calm voice as if measuring his every word with a specific weight about it. He wasn't sure exactly what he planned to accomplish here, but as always when he came to these places he needed something, and right now he was looking for either work, or people worthy enough to meet his expectations or maybe even both.

While his eyes remained focused on the large man, his real interest was on the smaller one on his left, he seemed like he would be the sort to more commonly go along with the goals he had in mind. The woman also held his interest albeit very little, but she was something of a curiosity piece for him as he wondered only half heartedly what her story was. All this ran through his head though while he stared at the larger man, seeing him as the biggest threat but the least likely to require his services. Still it never hurt to ask, and his eyes constantly shifted from the man, and the ever present shifting crowd around him. Wonder where Cass is?

The white haired, dark garbed man lay brooding with his beer in hand.

Taverns... they were all alike.

Four walls, noise, men, women and beer.

All guaranteed if there was that many things in one place someone was bound to get in trouble. Or rather, trouble was more likely to find them. But sometimes that was a good thing.

Where trouble was, came... opportunity.

Bars and tavern halls were great places to kick back, and relax if you could blend in. Places where people went about their own business. Minding their own business. And that was the way the figure liked it as he sat in a corner, just watching the way things went.

People watching, was a very good habit to have. It kept you alert to anyone interesting or dangerous in your vicinity. The first to come to his attention was that brute of a man, the female maid he was unsuccessfully flirting with, and the other figure the brute had talked to seemed to be interesting as well.

They all seemed... interesting. And in the business as they say that could be both good and bad. It was all a matter of what might go wrong, or right. Which meant; it was time to do a little more watching before he garnered an approach. The woman was playing with that ring. It might have some value to it after all. But his thoughts weren't solely on petty theivery. No, today he wondered if there might be anyone looking for help on anything to make enough money for his next meal.

As a new man walked in, Noth quietly tried to appraise him as well. Hoping there wasn't anything amiss with him.
"I am the Shadow and the smoke in your eyes, I am the ghost that hides in the night."

Her black booted feet came to a halt. A tired breath rushed past his lips as her eyes surveyed the scene around her. Humans wandered up and down the clogged road, some barely noticing her and others giving her a bit too much notice for her liking. A mixture of odors hung in the air which brought many questions to mind, but Cass quickly shoved such thoughts aside to focus on the matter at hand.

She was lost. Yup. No other way to describe it than that. She was lost and if she had just taken the time to stick by Darian she wouldn't be in this situation. But against her better judgement she had wandered off and now Darian was nowhere to be found and all the humans looked just like the last and all the buildings looked almost exactly alike! Silently cursing herself for getting herself stuck in such a mess she looked over at a building where there seemed to be a constant flow of humans going in and out. Deciding to search around inside to see if she could find Darian, Cass tugged her cloak tightly around her before entering the tavern.

The moment she entered the tavern Cass was bombarded with the sights, sounds, and smells of a place that was completely foreign to her. Looking around she spotted several humans and a few others who she couldn't really describe. Awful odors seemed to fly off a few of the dirty humans which pushed Cass to walk further into the tavern. Her eyes roamed the busy tavern until she spotted a table towards the back. There were three strangers sitting at the table but Cass wasn't concerned about the strangers. Instead she focused solely on the fourth person sitting at the table.

Delighted to have finally found him Cass hurried over to the table, ignoring everyone. When she finally reached the table Cass sat down beside Darian. Not wanting to catch him offguard she simply poked his hand in hopes to get his attention.

Day 1 Summer 511 AV

Upon the sudden arrival of the two random guests at their table, Corinth removed her hand from Cade's grasp and tighlty slid her mother's wedding ring onto her right hand ring finger. Her smile dropped. Who the hell are these people?
It all happened rather suddenly. Strange man inquiring into Cade's business then suddenly a strange yet lovely woman joining them. Oh great. Honestly what have I gotten myself into?! Corinth kept her head tilted down staring at her hands in her lap and made quick glances at Cade. She didn't know him practically at all but she supposed he was the only one she had to trust at the moment. She'd follow his lead. Corinth waited for Cade to respond to the man's question.

Corinth's hand retreated from Cade's grasp as this man, a nosy local, began questioning him. Inquisitive questions annoyed the Half Blood myrian savage, especially questions to inquire into reasons why he be in a place or his business period. Cade was a outlaw, a criminal but above that he was a barbaric warrior with a short temper. The inquisitive local and his female companion just blocked his second advance on Corinth and was now irritated. Does one bite his tongue and entertain the two by answer the questions and make small talk?

His vacant right hand slowly grasped the hilt of his fathers longsword sheathed to his waist. Or does one answer in absolute and end this Locals inquisitive nature once and for all?

Cade looked across the table at Corinth, using her very image to sooth his anger and reminding himself that bloodshed right now will end their Tent Date for sure. " Information doesn't come cheap Stranger......." His own tongue was in disbelief with the lack of violence " I am Cade and that is all you are getting tell I see a round of drinks for my friends and I on your coin" Be that a lesson in information gathering.

Cade offered him to sit while his attention fell upon the strangers companion. His eyes ravaged her body, not just with sexual intrigue but curiosity in what she was. Then he looked back to Corinth, hoping his gaze did not betray his thoughts on the Nosy Stranger's woman for one thing he did know about women, they were very jealous creatures. Tho his eyes may wonder he only had one female at this table he was fully interested in.

Cade's right hand had not left the touch of his longsword's hilt while he skulled the horn of mead in a single gulp then smacking it to the table. " Well stranger, what will it be?"

His eyes darkened if only in the slightest as they flitted about the crowd around him and the man while he waited for him to respond and he looked out for any friends that the man might have within the tavern that might try and get the better of him as he tried to have a conversation. His eyes settled on no one thought that he though fit the particular mold it would take to deal with this man on a regular basis, but he did think he saw a man eyeing the group in particular and not just he himself which was a refreshing change of pace. By the time his calculating eyes went back to the beast of a man in front of him, the man had finally acknowledged his presence, and none too politely but it was as he expected. Can't expect a barbarian to have culture after all can I was a sentiment that he knew others might share, and he already had a response prepared for such smarting words, and he almost opened his mouth to speak when he felt a poke against his hand, and he turned to see that it was no other than Cass, just the woman he had been looking for earlier.

The hazel of his eyes disappeared briefly during his turn but after acknowledging her presence with a smile, and reaching out to clasp her hand in his, his eyes once again settled on the brute, whose tongue was surprisingly wise with its words, but his eyes and hand appeared to not have received the same aid in intelligence he saw upon a quick observation that turned his eyes cold. The first thing he noticed was the fact that his hand was on his weapon, presumably the only weapon he had on hand, but that wasn't enough to turn his eyes cold, and his blood to boil. He was ogling Cass, and that was something Darian didn't like at all. It was more than a simple thing to keep his face straight as he saw this, and even harder still to form his emotionless face into a smile, and raise his hand to call the waitresses attention. " Yes, a round of mead for all my friend's at the table here " he said in the cheeriest tone he could muster, but still it came out sounding a bit fake to his ears. This Cade fellow was getting on his last nerve but for the sake of what this business concerned he suspected he would just have to deal with it till more pleasing prospects showed themselves.

" Your name is all I wished to know, a fact I repaid back in drinks " he said keeping his eyes level with Cade's and gesturing to the serving wench that was even then bringing them all their drinks and setting them down around the table in front of them all. " My name is Craevan sir, and this is just casual talk from one stranger to the next so feel free to take your hand off your weapon " he added in stride, swinging his hand to grab up the tankard of mead put in front of them by the woman, and taking a hearty swig of it, even letting the froth of the drink drip down on his chin. Releasing Cass's hand, he brought his hand back to his chin and whipped off the froth with the back of his glove, and settled it back down in his lap. Despite the gesture basic meaning of him enjoying the drink, it also served another purpose as well to place his hand onto his legs, and thus closer to his weapon. Feeling through the soft cloth of his breeches, he found the little slit he had made their earlier, and plied his fingers through their, to find a second hidden pocket that led underneath his armor to a dagger strapped to his thigh. His thin fingers wormed their way around the finely crafted hilt, and he tightened his grip on the blade confident he could get it out in time, and certainly much faster than either he or the man could draw their longswords, his a bit harder to get to with it strapped to his back and hidden underneath his cloak. The long piece of metal felt just as comforting as the hilt of the dagger though, and he felt assured that he would be as prepared as he could be if a fight did break out.

Her poke was enough to catch Darian's attention. She smiled when he turned to look at her and she was blessed to see him smile in return. His hand wrapped around hers and rested on the table. Content that she had found Darian she noticed his attention return to the other strangers at the table. Cass's focus turned towards the strangers as well, not knowing if they were friends of Darian or not. She decided to keep her mouth shut and took a moment to study the three strangers. The female and the other oddly dressed man did not seem as threatening as the barbarian. It was the big barbarian's words and eyes that told Cass that he was most likely not an ally to Darian in the slightest.

Cass watched as the barbarian's eyes roamed her body. Fighting to keep control of herself she silently swore to make use of his eyeballs in another way if he ever dared to look at her that way again. When Darian spoke up Cass immediately noticed that he used his false name. No, these people weren't allies of Darian and she would fight to remain in control of her instincts. A waitress came over to the table and served drinks upon Darian's request. Taking her mug she glanced down at the strange smelling liquid. Without wasting a moment she flipped the mug upside down, allowing the liquid to spill out onto the floor and held the mug out to the waitress. "Water. Please."

She watched as the waitress snatched the mug out of her hand and left the table. Turning her attention back on Darian she noticed that his hand that had been around hers was now...elsewhere. Looking back at the three strangers and decided it might be best to offer up her name as well. But as she had learned from Darian, not her real name. "I am Joyce."
