Fraha leaned again on her hand, and faced directly Edward as he started to talk. She was happy that he started to asnwer her question, it meant that he was an open minded one, that he was rather proud of himself and that Fraha automatically seemed trustworthy. She listened as another deep sip of ale hit her head slightly, making her feel a little spin, after all she wasn't used nor had the constitution to drink a lot. As he started to speark about the Knights Fraha could notice somewhat a strong desire in becoming one. This made her giggle "you seem like you really would love to" said she punching him jokily on the shoulder. "But why do you doubt then?" Seeing Ed not too happy by that statement. "are you good with the bow?" Asked Fraha with a sewere tone.

Alcohol was starting to do his effect, giving Fraha confidence and raising self esteem. She wasn't drunk, not even dizzy, but that thirst of more ale was growing strong in her and the will of having fun was a direct consequence. Ed seemed a good drinker to her and certainly it would be better to drink with him than alone. Grabbing nother time the mug Fraha sipped deeply, nearily ending it. "Come on, tell me about your problems and stuff, meanwhile" said Fraha looking at the barman "two more please" indicating the mugs. Smiling Fraha had for a moment forgot her thoughts and was fine with it.

[Flashback] Good views on bad places [Edvard_Lecklaen]

It was comforting to share his thoughts with someone, a thing that he couldn't afford to do, neither in terms of time or trust, when he took up the slack from his father. He would've been horsewhipped in no time and then thrown out of their home for thinking such fanciful thoughts. Joining the Knighthood was something for people who lack honest work. was what his father used to say. Given, being both a woodsman and something of a shady character, he likely had a run in or two with the knights in his younger days that tainted his opinion of them, but his father was not a bad man. Just a man who had little time for the knights. Regardless, he was likely the cause for Edvard's doubt, combined with the lacking sight of a Knight ever wielding a bow, he'd perhaps only seen such once, maybe twice, in his travels. Though he had some experience training with a longsword, his skill, if one could call it that, was with his shortbow.

He wanted, somewhat, to tell her about his father, about what he'd seen of the knights and what little he'd garnered from reading in his spare time, to explain why he doubted he could join their ranks. But instead, he simply opted for a dismissive explanation, not wanting to trouble Fraha with a rather long and somewhat boring tale. Looking to her, he did his best to explain his story without going into detail, "I just don't think they'd take me. Too... maneuverable." With a smirk he added the latter comment, knowing that he preferred to escape a blow than deflect it. "And, I'd like to think I'm good with my bow, but that's also part of the problem..." Sighing as he glanced about, he pondered on how to word his reasoning, "It's rare to come across a knight with a bow... rarer still to see them using one."

It was at about this time that Fraha had ordered two more flagons, and Edvard, a rather appreciative sort, couldn't let such go without thanks, "Awfully generous of you... and, if you don't mind my asking, just what's brought you to Syliras?"
"If something is worth doing, then it is worth taking time to do it."

Fraha stood still for a moment, looking at her new friend, curious about his speech. She didn't understand how a bow could not be usefull. She thought about scouter knights in the outsides, patroling the woods, or small villages. It wasn't such an impossible idea to her. "I happened to see some knights with bows, not in the city, but for sure in the woods or vast fields outside these walls" she thanked the barjkeeper with a sign of hand "I think you should try it at once, if you're good they will take you" added she confident. "No worries, you're up for the next" said Fraha as he thanked her for the drink "What brings me here? Travels, I wanted to know the world with my own head, so I ran away" added she proudly while taking the cup of ale with both hands Syliras was just to be the first destination.

It was then that she remebered her episode from yesterday, which made her silent for a moment. "This should be the sheltered city, the fortress of peace and in fact it probably is. But still, I believe that the world is way worse outside. And that's why I'm here, I'm thinking..." her eyes got serious as a smoewhat smile came across her face. Facing the counter with a slightly disappointed look Fraha was rubbing the thumb on the mug, pausing a bit before she wuld speak again
