Sinsa nodded as she listened to him talk of his parents, her chest tightening as she thought of the possibilities of what might have been if her parents had been around.
She swallowed against the lump in her throat and smiled slightly as he laughed. The girl nodded and said, "Your mother sounds like a good woman."
She brushed her hair back from her face and looked up at him, the murmured, "Well, um, thank you for the food, and...telling me about your parents." She took a couple hesitant steps back, then darted into the crowds once again, rubbing at the tears threatening to escape her eyes.
