Summer 75th, 510 AV
Older brothers were insufferable. The ones with tall human mothers were especially hateful. It was as though they believed having a non-Symenestra mother was a good thing. Did they feel no shame? Their blood was dirty?
Asara Willow scowled darkly at her angry thoughts. She had two siblings. All three had human mothers. She was the only one to have a Symenestra mother. In a way, she felt left out. But how could she not? So many Symenestra weren't of Symenestra mothers. Those females spared their wombs for non-Symenestra fathers. They were single-handedly creating a sub-par race. An abberation of worthless venom and mere human abilities.
What kind of stupidity urged the creator of the Symenestra to forgo the possibility of multiple pure blood births among the noble race? Always, always, they required the sacrifice of foreign women and the acceptance of similar men. Didn't they see the possibility of making a super race by mating with each other?
And here, Asara had told everyone she was leaving for retrieving surrogates for her brothers and father... If they knew how she felt, she'd be forced to go by her father. After all, she didn't requre a surrogate for the deadly mating. So, she had a preconceived duty to provide.
She'd have to actually speak and relate to humans. She had enough problems with half bloods without Symenestra fathers.
