Basic Information Race: Vantha Birth Date: Season of Winter, Day 7, 494 AV Age: 16 Gender: Male Physical Description Keva is young a boy who hasn’t physically matured as much as other boys. He weighs a mere 125 pounds and is only stands at 5’5”. He physical build is very sleek and slender with not much muscle, though he is still very hardy and can withstand the cold elements. Despite his appearance, people often hesitate confronting Keva because of his sharp glares and mysterious attitude. Keva’s facial expressions are always serious and sometime annoyance, he is rarely seen expressing much enthusiastic emotion to anything beside magic or the stars. Keva has a round face and black hair like most Vantha. His hair is straight and medium-long, Keva often will place his bangs in front of eyes so people will be unable to tell what emotion he is feeling. Keva’s skin is clear and healthy, though one thing that sets him apart from most Vantha is his pale white skin that even seems to glow in the moonlight. By wearing his black hooded fur coat emphasizes the paleness if his skin and makes him stand out in a Vantha crowd. Often people will mistake Keva for a human, until they see his eyes suddenly change color. Keva’s eyes are his most intricate feature, like most Vantha, his eyes change with his emotion They turn hazel when calm, green when happy or excited, light purple when upset or sad, yellow when aggravated, red when enraged, icy blue when in love, black when tired or bored, and silver when frightened, shocked or nervous. When Keva is in complete confusion and in a crazed state his eyes will turn a myriad of colors, almost resembling a rainbow, though this rarely happens to Keva and has never gotten to an extremely dangerous point. Character Concept Keva is a boy of mystery, a person that is misunderstood, a person that not even he himself can understand. Keva does not inherit many of the traits most Vantha have, he is not outgoing nor as friendly as most Vantha. Keva is the type of person that would feel lonely in a room full of people, which is how he often feels. Deep inside he knows he’s different, he knows he doesn’t fit in. though he doesn’t know why. Some times he wishes he could fit in and do all the daily thing other Vantha do, but other das he wishes he could just run away and just disappear from the Vantha way of life. Every night Keva will look up at the stars from a rooftop by himself, closing his eyes and wishing that the stars could guide him away from here. Keva loves to read, people hardly see his face because it’s always hidden behind a book. Often always he will read a book about magic, most specifically Auristics which he is very gifted in. By reading auras he can understand people without even having to say a word, which is a reason he doesn’t often bother to talk to people. The one person Keva cannot understand is himself, he knows he is different and he knows that everyone thinks the same even though they may not show it. This is why he always looks up to the sky, to the infinite beyond, hoping that he could explore the world and find himself in this world of mystery. Keva is a very independent person for his age and hardly ever will turn to someone for help. He would prefer reading books for month and training himself rather than finding someone to teach him. He rather enjoys figuring out knew things on his own using his own knowledge. Beside reading Keva loves to observe, he loves to see how people react to certain things and they affect their emotions and personality he also loves to observe the stars and nature, taking in its beauty. Keva though truly is alone, he has no shoulder to cry on, no one to share secrets with and nothing to love. Things that spread happiness have grim view for him, because he wishes he could truly express these feeling of happiness. He can only wear a fake smile and hope that someday his dreams can take reality. Never give up, never stop believing… Keva will always continue to look upon those stars in the night sky hoping that someday he really could experience life with others… and himself. Character History On the coldest of nights, the snow reflected the sky which glowed with dozens of colors and shimmered a myriad amount of stars. This was the night Keva was found in the wilderness of Taldera by two human travellers. The travelers were shocked to find this infant laying silently in the cold snow, wrapped in white fur that seems to carry the tint of a rainbow of colors. The travelers took the child and stared at him for moments, his skin was as pale as the snow though when the child opened its eyes the iris carried dozens of colors within. The travelers knew the child must be a Vantha, they took the child all the way to Avanthal and asked everyone if they knew who the child belonged to. No one knew who the child was, but many offered to help find who he belonged to. After a day of searching the travelers had no idea what to do, until an elderly woman named Kirrina offered to help. Kirrina was an expert at Auristics, she saw something special within the boy though not even she could tell what it was. Kirrina named the boy Keva, which stood for “Star Child”. Since the boy seemed to have no family, Kirrna believed the boy came from the stars believing in the ancient stories that Vantha came from the Morwen’s Lights. For years Kirrina raised the boy with the same love any mother would have for their child. As a young child many people were interested in the young child who supposedly fell from the stars, many treated the child differently though not exactly understanding who he could be. Kirrina was the only person who never judged Keva, to her he was his son that she would cherish forever. At the age of seven Kirrina began to teach the boy Auristics, she was surprised at how fast he was able to grasp the concept of it. Keva spent much time with Kirrina, practicing his Auristics with her and listening to her tell him stories under a star filled sky. She even told Keva that he fell from the stars and was found out in the cold snow, Keva always wondered about this story and strangely believed it. After a year, the happiness began to fade when Kirrina contracted a serious illness which forced her to become bedridden. At only the age of nine Keva was forced to take care of Kirrina. He went out and found her medicine and every night when there was a star filled sky, he would tell her a story instead even if she was not conscious. At the age of ten Kirrina had passed away, her last breath was with Keva by her side holding his hand. The last word she said under her breath was “Keva… you are special… soar among the stars… never…. never give up hope…. I… love you… Keva…” After a few moments Kirrina just gave a slight smile as if too weak to say anything else, soon after she closed her eyes, her heart stopped beating, and her last breathe escaped her lips. Keva remained silent and a single tear escaped his eyes. The next day was Kirrina’s funeral, Keva did not attend the ceremony. Instead when the sky was dark and filled with stars Keva visited her grave and sat in front of it, sharing his last and final story with Kirrina under a starry night. After that and up to the age of sixteen Keva had changed, he completely kept to himself and did not socialize much with anyone. He continued to practice his Auristics and continually gazed up at the night sky which shined its fantastical lights.
