A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

He squinted one eye out of annoyance at her ‘yap’. “Right I suppose you cannot exactly speak right now.” He looked away thinking about how to salvage a reasonable conversation with a understanding fox. ‘Perhaps this is going to cost some coin after all…’ his thoughts strayed until she jumped down and started rooting in her belongings. He was about to call her on his need for something, when she emerged with some food in her muzzle and appeared as if she was offering it to him, he smiled and waved a hand at her, “All yours…”

“Ow… what?” he said yanking his arm from her teeth. He saw how bored she became and decided to imply his request. “I tell you what, I have a meager savings that I have spent my entire life earning, but for saving my life I would like to share it with you on a very nice meal.” He said pulling out a handful of gold. This was obviously an enormous lie, because the satchel he pulled the coinage out of he lifted the night before, also he wanted to advise her to a plan he had that more or less involved using her for her powers… and beauty. “You should go and figure out how your going to transform back with clothes, and meet me here. Then ill go and get a decent shirt, your welcome to come for that and I could get you a nice dress.” He said kicking her shirt that was on the ground. “Then once were both all dressed up, we will eat at the fanciest place here as I feel it only necessary to repay your for your kindness… and perhaps inquire about a fiscal opportunity that could benefit us both.” The last part he muttered swiftly. “What do you say? Interested?”

Yes, the money impressed her, but the last thing she wanted to do was wear a dress or go out to eat at some, Ionu forbid, fancy resturaunt. She shook her head vigorously, but decided it would be better if she changed back. She grabbed her clothes (not her boots) with her teeth and carried them to the alley to change back. She walked out of the alley barefoot and she didn't seem to mind how disgusting the ground was or anything. Then she sat down and slipped on her boots. "I don't want and damn repayment, and I definitely don't want to go to some fancy place to eat, let alone wear a dress, and a fancy one at that. Unless you're clueless, you should know that its near impossible to move in dresses. I like to move. So put your money away tell me exactly how you got beat up so badly, or show me that 'monster' you killed. Your choice. And," she pulled on her black wool cloak "I'm going to leave if you decide to do neither. And yes, I know you were lying about defeating a 'monster' and I'm starting to think you're using me to get what you want. Am I right or am I right?" with that she pulled on her boots and pulled her hood over her eyes. "What do you need me for anyways? I could just as easily kill you as I can anyone else."

She was trying to be rude, and his bribery was annoying. She wasn't special enough to be used for anything, but she was quick, alert, and flexible enough to fit in small spaces. She would work for someone, yes, but being tricked into working or being bribed just made her angry. She ran her tongue over her teeth. Why did she come find him? Oh yes. She wanted to know who he was. Well, she did, so she might as well leave. No point in staying. She picked up the piece of beef jerky and started eating it. If he started boring her or kept bribing her, she could always leave. And leave she would.

“Please lady, I may be injured but I’m not incapacitated.” He had been threatened enough by beautiful women for a day. “Now as far as the dress goes, no need to get hostile, I don’t really look like the type to be wearing one, do I? Besides, since you’re not as dumb as you look, I’ll come out and admit what I’m really getting at.” He continued without missing a beat. “I need you to help me steal from someone. There’s an old fat man who is partial to young attractive women, and you are only just that. Now I realize you’re probably what two maybe three years old? But the fact of the matter is that he hates Kelvics, as do most slave owners here. I have a plan to take serious advantage of him, but I need you're willingness to cooperate.” He would stop here and let her reply.

If she responded positively, he would make her go to eat with him only because he is starving and would figure the change of scenery would benefit them both. If not, then he would withhold his information and probably look into leaving this city before he winds up the wrong ally again.

“What happened to me last night isn’t really any of your business. I thank you for helping me in the water, but if your not interested in working with me, then I’m not interested in being friends.” He felt, perhaps wrongly, about mimicking her aggressive tact with one of his own, but the way he talked before by being coy and sweet as if talking to a child, sure didn’t help

She was getting tired of him already. "Hm. Let me think about it." She paused for a moment. "So how exactly am I going to benefit from this? And I'm only a year old, just so you know," she said sharply. She hated it when people tried to use her to get what they wanted, with nothing for Vyxenne's benefit. Of course, even with payment there was limited things she would do. And if this was going to require a lot of shifting, she would need a lot of food to keep her energy levels up. She was already tired from shifting back and forth.

Well, she might as well help him. His luck of finding another Kelvic was small. Unless he could smell Kelvics, or he had good observational skills, he wouldn't be able to tell them very well from the crowd. "You know what? I'll do it. I have nothing better to do. On one condition. You tell me what really happened yesterday. Deal?" If he didn't agree to her terms, she was leaving. And if he did agree, but didn't keep his side of the bargain, then he would end up back in the lake again. She had no problem undoing her work. Of course, if she left, he would have difficulty doing whatever he planned. Not her problem.

Hayl rolled his eyes. “What is your infatuation with my misfortunes?” he growled, “Fine...I wandered into an ally that this crazy assassin seemed to already be training in. When I tried to leave, the assassin attacked me. I was way out of my league in the fight and you can tell I barely got out alive.” He didn’t want to go into more detail. “Perhaps Ill tell you more about it, when the timing is more appropriate, until then...” he stood up slowly and then arched his back allowing his body to reset itself with various cracks and clicks. The lack of blood caused him to feel dizzy, especially from standing up and trying to recover so swiftly, but he shook his head, feeling the blood fill it his head with heat and painful life. “I’m more or less into this...hobby so to speak, for the game not so much for the money, so what do we say 70/30?” he said feeling as if this was more than acceptable for her standards, being the greedy bastard he is.

Regardless of her answer Hayl reached into his satchel and pulled one of his blades out, he then replaced it on his wrist and pulled the blade just barely out to mentally check how much force it would take to draw his weapon. “Lets not think anymore over this until we have food in our stomachs... and since your so inclined to not receive commendations for your heroic rescue, I’ll even let you pay for yourself.” He smiled brightly like he had never had such close call the night before. “But before we do anything... you gotta let me get a new shirt.”

NoteSorry for the short post...there wasn't much for me to work with!

She looked at the blade he just pulled out. "Try to use that on me and you're going in the lake. Just so you know," she said, and then showed her teeth for emphasis. She was in a bad mood for some reason, and she didn't like it. Of course, she didn't mind paying for her own food nor did she mind waiting for him to buy a new shirt. She had nothing better to do.

"Fine, do whatever you want. I'll just follow you around like a lost puppy, if you don't mind. Even if you did mind, I still would. But that's your problem."

He looked at her and narrowed his eyes. “Please… I may not be the greatest of company, but I don’t have any pleasantries about harming women… hairy or not.” He was getting perturbed by the audacity that the females of this dark city had. Even as a man from Sunberth, a place rampant with womanizing crimes and sexual hierarchy, he was tired of the average woman assuming that he was a soulless scumbag who would kill anyone without a qualm about it. “Let’s go…” he said gathering his things and flinging them over his shoulder, “If I have to be in this shirt any longer I’m afraid I’ll be swooped up by a strong breeze.”

The lady in front of him was driving Hayl crazy. She was weirdly disproportionate at her legs and was leaned over to reveal her mile long cleavage to the store-owner. Hayl was counting his own heart beats trying to take his mind off of her stupid words. “You know when Griffith, my third husband, died he left me his horse. Beautiful beast, but dumb as an ox…” she was so far bent over that her enormous rear was staring Hayl in the face. He rolled his eyes over to Vyxxenne, “I know I said that I have never killed a woman before but…” he whispered to her, then let his eyes shift darkly at the obnoxious lady. His tone was soft enough that the babbling woman would never hear it. He thought about trying to lift something from her, but her butt seemed so crammed into her skin tight dress he was confident she would be able to feel him if he thought about it hard enough. He peered over the mountain in front of him to see the store owner. He was, to Hayl’s greatest fear, enamored with the sight. His eyes would widen as her chest did with every breath. Hayl took notice of the man, he dressed nice, but probably because he was a tailor, however, his hair and beard were fairly un-kept. ‘He must not be married’ (The lack of a ring could prove substantial evidence to the great detective) ‘He’s probably never seen a woman’s breast before in his life.’ The judgment was fair, being that the rather unattractive, overweight, and balding man in his thirties would be so fascinated by boobs probably 10 years his senior. He whispered again to Vyxxenne, “Your kind is lucky to die off before they grow old and fat and ugly like my kind do.” His knowledge of a Kelvic’s life cycle was obviously miniscule.

“Ever since… Hector, my 5th husband… when he died, SNIFF… money has been so hard” her flabby body quivered with each snotty inhale. “I know I may not have much…” ‘Maybe if you would quit eating you could do yourself and all the starving people in this city a favor.’ He thought when she broke for a dramatic pause “But I can cook better than anyone I know…” “I bet…” Hayl said probably too loud and covered it swiftly with a cough. “If you could find it in your heart to forgo your price on this beautiful blouse, that reminds me of the one Seymour (6th husband) got me, then I would be glad to treat you to the most… delicious night you could ever have.” Hayl whispered out the side of his mouth to Vyxxenne again, “Don’t do it, or you'll marry her and be a dead man.” He played as if he was talking to the man himself. Silence came awkwardly as Hayl realized the man was making no reply. He furrowed his brow in curiosity and peered again over the mountain to see what his hang-up was. The man’s eyes where white all around his shocked pupils, which were glued to the flesh in front of him. ‘This man really has never seen a breast before…’ Hayl thought as he tried to contain a chuckle. The store owner finally opened his mouth and began to say something. “B-b-b-b-b…” He was stuttering something, and it sounded dangerously close to Hayl that the man was about to scream BOOOOOOBS! Really loud when, “B-b-b-b-but what would you make for me to eat?” his eyes finally shifted to meet hers.

“Alright, alright… I really hate to break all this up, but I would like to buy this overpriced shirt and your future death sentence-I mean wife, here, is making me regret my birth as a human.” A short scoff and some snooty curse was about to fly from the large ladies frog-like lips before Hayl interjected again, “I can solve both your problems right now. I will pay for your bed spread of a dress right now if you keep your mouth closed for thirty seconds, and I will pay you an extra gold if you let me leave with out hearing another word of you trying to communicate.” He slammed 8 gold down and sighed at Vyxxenne, “I haven’t eaten in two days and I’m already starting to lose my appetite… let’s go before I consider throwing myself in the water again.” He would say as he attempted to grab her gently by her arm and escort her briskly outside.

He would then change his shirt as they walked to their next destination, his chest reveled heavily white wraps with traces of dark in their center that would lead any to believe his wounds were healed, but only just. Once he was fitted with his new black linen, he would then look at her and comment on his behavior in the shop, “I’m sorry about all that… I just can’t stand shallow people.”

“Let’s pick the first place that serves something hot and dead and then eat there.” He said swerving in an inn with a sign on it that depicted a roast turkey. He opened the door and cringed at the noise of the place during one of its busiest hours. “A table… there.” He yelled to a small one in the corner that would be perfect due to its seclusion from the rest of the louder crowd. Hayl sat and didn’t offer anything proper to Vyxxenne that would suggest he knew some formal manners when it comes to seating a woman. (He was from Sunberth, not Syliras) The bar man walked to him and spoke directly to Hayl. “Drink?” “Something brown and alcoholic, what’s for dinner?” “Rabbit stew…” Hayl nodded with agreement, and then let the man get Vyxxenne’s order. He noticed the suspicious look the bar-tender’s face gave when looked at Vyxxenne and then Hayl, “She’s all yours if you can convince her not to kill you.” He muttered under stoic eyelids to him. The tender smiled back and then winked at Vyxxenne after placing some bread on the table for the two of them. “Let me eat before we really get into the whole planning thing.” He said tiredly as he pulled off a large chunk of the bread and shoved it in his mouth, slowly chewing it on one bulging side.

And Vyxenne did just that: she followed him around like a lost puppy. Err, fox. When they got into the shop, a disgusting fat women was standing there flirting with the shopkeeper. Petch, this stupid fat women is in our way... she thought, and then she could tell how terrible the women smelled, like dead fish wrapped in seaweed and dropped in a bucket of gross. It was all she could do to keep from gagging. The women smelled like she hadn't bathed in years...no wonder her husbands kept dying.

It was even more hilarious at how ridiculous the lady --if she was a lady-- was when Hayl kept cracking jokes. Vyxenne struggled to keep from laughing...this lady was so ridiculous. But she was taking forever, and you don't know how much Vyx wanted to slap her. She looked like someone decided to shove a cow in a dress and do its hair, and she smelled like one too.

They walked to a random inn to eat. Vyx felt like putting Hayl back into the lake because of what he said to the bartender, but she didn't because they were finally eating and because he was still there. "You're lucky you aren't back in the lake, dammit!" The bartender was lucky she didn't bite off his nose. Just from the smell of food did Vyxenne realize how hungry she was, and she couldn't wait to eat. She didn't like bread though, and the rabbit stew looked suspicious. All well, she was the one that ate raw rat as a daily meal. She ate some of the stew and looked at Hayl.
