Azcadelia

"Oh my, I'm sincerely sorry; I forgot the most important rule of introductions. Forgive me," she flashed an apologetic smile to Ser Erik. "My name is Azcadelia Jade Rosan, of the unimportant Rosan family. Skill wise, hmm," she tapped a petite finger on her chin, thinking. "Ser Erik, my skills would be my quick, witty tongue, I am able to talk through or open up paths that would otherwise be blocked with it. My looks, even though it wouldn't be a skill if my tongue fails me then my looks would surely do the trick, and if all else failed I would find another way. I am no doubt good with me head," she gestured to her red hair, "I would find a way into anything you needed me to."

Azcadelia took a breath and smiled coolly at the Knight. "Then there is my frame and weightlessness, I am not easily detected when going around on my own elaborate sneaking missions, motives I am not comfortable disclosing to you at this moment. Ser Erik, I am also a Reimancy user, no doubt I'd be able to distort the minds of any that obstruct my path, only temporarily of course. I wouldn't want to do permanent damage." After a time more of thinking Azcadelia finally spoke again, "Also I know about the deliverance of poisons, though I do not know how to make them. So, if I was supplied with paralysing, sleeping or even lethal potions I'd be able to get them to your target or use them to clear my way just as swiftly. Those are all my skills that are worth mentioning in this profession, Ser Knight."

Azcadelia switched the leg that was crossed over the other and shifted in her seat getting a little comfortable.

"Well miss Azcadelia, you certainly do have spirit and zest, I'll give you that. But you have to know that there is more to such a job, than having a good smile and your sex. What if the person you are out to get information from is a woman? What if it is a man who..for whatever season doesn't fall for your charms, what would you do then?"

He liked the spunk in this one, and while he would like to offer her a job, he needed to make sure that she could stand up to the challenge. Then she continued to speak and said something that almost caused the old goats eyes to cross. "Young lady, the Knights do not resort to poisoning people. Do you think us in league with Ravok? No, we do not stoop to such lows. We have other methods. So then..are you telling me that you have nothing left to offer beyond your looks and sass?"

Azcadelia

"I do apologize Ser Knight, I did not know the methods of the Knights, or I must've overlooked them when I was studying up before I came to be in your presence Ser. I won't be poisoning anyone I assure you." Azcadelia shifted a little in her chair, not unnerved but leaning closer to the Knight.

"Ser Erik, if the intel that I desired belonged in the hands of a woman I assure you that I am good with my fingers, pickpocketing and all," Azcadelia reached into her bosom and pulled out a folded piece of paper, waving it at the man she continued to speak. "I even managed to get one of your squire's letters, even in this well guarded establishment I managed to slip something under their noses. My experience as a pickpocket has served me well through these years. I've been living on the streets, mansions and homes of Syliras since I was fifteen years old. After my father was arrested and jailed by the Knights. My father taught me everything, well, I observed and learned from the wise thief. The man was a fool to get caught by the Knights, he shouldn't have dwindled in Syliras province for too long, hmm?"

Azcadelia leaned back in her chair again, almost challenging the Knight with with her jade coloured gaze. Yes, she stole from a Knight, a squire in training, but her talk matched her walk. If her speech couldn't persuade this Ser then maybe her actions would. Maybe a trial run?

"Ser Knight," she said, slipping the stolen letter onto his desk, "perhaps I can be given a trial of sorts? Give me a novice or advanced mission, tell me what you need and I'll get it to you within three days. Hmm?" Azcadelia sat back again and unfolded her legs but kept them tightly together with her hands resting in her lap. "Ser Erik, I am good at what I say, I promise you that. How can you really judge one if you do not see them in action? As you know you can train a squire with combat and other means to be a knight but what about a spy? You cannot observe us while we work in the dead of knight or the shadow of day, we are lone workers. Give me this mission then you'd see the true extent of my skills, how about?" Azcadelia cocked her head slightly to the left and gave a friendly and promising smile.

Ser Erik listened to what the man had to say, but he wasn't hearing the answers that he needed, The Knight wasn't a young naive boy, he had been around for years and knew a blind man when he saw one. He would have hoped that the man would have made mention of his disability and gave reasons for why he could still become a Knight even with his blindness. However that wasn't the case, the man continued to attempt to hide this fact and said nothing to reassure the Knight that he was capable. " Let me ask you, how does a blind man patrol and what, or where would he be able to do so and actually be of help?"

Azcadelia

Ser Erik looked the woman over again and just stared at her. She was bold, sassy and a complete lair. The Knight could see this, whatever skills the woman did possess it wasn't in the things that she claimed. The letter that she had caused his brow to arch. It was interesting to listen to the young woman speak to be sure, and she certainly put on a good show. "Young lady, I am curious as to see if you're being serious about this, or if this is some kind of joke? You say that you studied before coming here, and yet you do not understand a thing about this city? So..you come into this office and tell us that you have been stealing from the people in this city? Which is a crime, you steal from squires? And in all this you expect us to trust you?"

Azcadelia

"If you trust a spy I think that is a mistake on you. I am completely serious about this job, this occupation. I would not come here to waste your time and mine. I did not steal from your squire, the letter is a blank, if you care to open it. You can say it was a test of your trusting, the trusting of a spy. I'm a snake, that I know. I am not ashamed to do so. I know who I am and my mannerisms. I just recently arrived in this city, this passing winter to be exact. I disbanded my father's remaining crime ring in an act of redemption. I am willing to being more of a trustworthy person, but only to the knights and a potential lover," Azcadelia's lip curled at the word 'lover'.

Azcadelia stood up and stretched a little and paced around in front of the desk before plopping back down in the seat and crossing her legs once more. "Ser Knight, I am willing to put in the time and effort to become an able member of this order, this community, this loving circle of brothers and sisters. I am willing to do whatever it takes, I will push my own limits to extremes to accomplish what I can for you, and your knights. I swear on my father's rotting head that I can deliver for you. I am willing to repent and take in your trials and tribulations, your missions, your wonders and your trust. You, as a knight will be able to trust me, your spy. If I am allowed to be so."

Azcadelia leaned closer to the desk once more her red lipstick stained lips forming words of gallantry, all deceptively true, "Ser Erik, I was born in this city, my father betrayed this city so I destroyed him for this city. I told the Knights of my father's operation then I watched as he was arrested and his headquarters burned. I tricked my own blood, who was lying thief himself and turned him in for you. For justice. He swindled a many of people out of their money, property and time. His crimes will ring throughout generations of farmers and businessmen. His crimes killed my mother!" Azcadelia winced at her own words, her past slipping from her mouth. Not wanting to seem weakened by the mentioning she pressed on, "That is why I will do what I can for you knights. That is why I will get your documents, your intel anything you need to put away petty criminals who swindle these streets and governments."

As she simmered down and recomposed herself her jade eyes glistened with tears - tears that seldom come to a her eyes. With her voice still strong she continued, "Ser Eric," she cleared her throat, "can you allow me to redeem myself and forever avenge my mother for as long as I breathe on this plane of existence? Yes, my past, as a teen, was a rowdy one. One of thievery and deception, but now I am a grown woman - I know my wrongs and rights. What I'm trying to do is a right. To right myself and my name that stained by that bastard of a man!" her cheeks were flushing red as anger rose again inside her.

"I apologize for my behaviour, Ser Knight," she bowed her head in apologies.

"Excuse me." Kise said. "I'm not hear to play games, so I'll come straight out."
"Yes, I am blind but I can in fact see. My hearing compensates for my lack of vision. Allowing me to see by a form of, uh, echolocation one would say." "My mother was a knight, her name was Tukai Yamehaka." Kise was prepared to do what it took to make sure he became a squire. "Ser Erik, I have heard of you many times. I have heard that your job is crucial, and I understand this. But I have to convince you that I will make a great knight." "I am a boxer, that prefers to fight unnarmed, but becoming a knight would greatly help me as I would learn to fight with ranged weapons. Lise clenched his fist and almost began to cry,"I need this." He said softly. "Don't look at my eyes, look at the knight standing in front of you."

The Knight stared curiously at the young man who thought to made a statement by showing off his magic in the office. Surely he could have just mentioned what he knew instead of the bit of show off that came. But the old Knight understood all to well the minds of the young. He smiled and chuckled a bit as he rubbed at his chin. "So tell me your name and for what reason do you seek to join the order?"

[Syliras Location] Recruitment Office

Postby Verlin Ranes on March 24th, 2013, 7:25 pm

After realizing his error at the employment office, Verlin headed off and asked another Knight about recruitment. The Knight was polite and helpful, escorting him to where he needed to go. It was no surprise, really. Much of the world of Stormhold was a bunch of papers and rules and directions. It wasn't beyond his grasp but it was a little annoying.Nothing to stop him from his desire, however.

The Knight spoke to another posted at the office, who then took Verlin deeper into the halls. The young man thought to wave and thank the one who had led him there first. Once he arrived, he saw an older man there. He carried the air of the Knights and many scars as well. It made Verlin think as he looked at his ear and missing arm. There were many dangers for a Knight. He then thought of his brother, who died from a boar attack. Death was everywhere. At least the Knights had a hand in protecting those who couldn't protect themselves.

Standing straight, he veered his eyes to the man before him. "Hello Sir, I have come to seek admission to the Knights. My name is Verlin Ranes. My family is from Mithryn Outpost and I have been farming for most of my life. I am healthy and prepared to work, hopefully to one day join the Green Knights who protect the fields and my people. Growing up, the Knights were nice enough to give mean old sword to practice with. I also have used a bow, though mostly to scare off birds. I can ride a horse, too."

He stood before the older man, hoping what little he had done to prepare would be enough to get him on his way.

"My name is Bolivar of the Coglias clan from Sultros. I am in need of a structured and honorable life outside of my home city and Syliras was the first city that came to mind. Already I have been humbled by my encounters here and wish to serve with the finest humanity has to offer." Smiling slightly the half-blood finally realized that he might have been to excited in his introduction. "I might have been some trouble entering the city but I assure you that none of that will happen again. Make no mistake I am just a humble soldier from Sultros ready and willing to serve Sylira."

Ser Erik liked this new boy, he even applauded the man. Already he could see good things in his future. Of course nothing was set in stone, but he had a good feeling about him. "That's very good. You are a son of Syliras, I already like you. Now..from the Mithryn Outpost huh? So you spent time with the good men there hmm? What did you learn?"

Bolivar

"I like your attitude." The old Knight smiled, the recent influx of boys had him curious if any of them would even last a day. But these newer men seemed better suited for the task. "So..you mentioned trouble entering the city, what happened?"
