Smiling, Clyde was happy at seeing he had taught some one something. It gave him a good sense of accomplishment to see a student grow, and get better, grasping new subjects.

"That is a good question, and a very important one. If you threw your snowball into my glyphs, my glyphs would not work! Your own type of magics goes into your glyphs you make, and because it is in sink with your magics you use, you can effect it."

"However others peoples magics are different, and do not work with the glyphs. At least not at lower levels. So for now you cannot effect others magics. Now at expert you are able to start effecting wild djed and magics, which is still somewhat different from your own."

"And finally when you are a master of glyphing, you can even effect others magics, and even hostile ones. But that is a long way off for both of us. SO any other questions?"

Bob looked back at his glyph before looking over to Clyde's. He was thinking of getting the snowball out and tossing it over into Clyde's one but since now he knows that it won't work, he'll forget about the idea. But Clyde still has not answered his question.

Bob shrugged, "Thats good to know but that still does not really answer my question of what this funny looking glyph would do. Maybe you should throw in some of your magic since I can't and show me what it does?' Then Bob noticed that he did not put in a trigger in his own glyph. So he went over to it and with his stick wrote "Here's a snowball" just in case he might have to release it later.

Looking down, he finally noticed that Bob had been indicating his switch. He smiled a bit, for getting off topic, and thought over what to do best.

"Well this particular switch is supposed to split my magics power, and by the base power there, it should split it in half. So if I throw a fireball into the focus, two fireballs of half the strength and size should exit the switch. Lets try it out. To be honest i have not done switches all that much."

Gathering a small bit of res in his hand, Clyde manipulated it into the focus. At the last moment, he ignited it, turning the entire thing into flame about the size of an apple.

A familiar sight of the magic disappearing, in a flash of light. Soon after the magic worked its way through the glyphs, and shot out of the other end, two separate fireballs each half the size of the original.

"Well, there you go. It actually worked!"

[Flashback]Sealing and Storing with Sigils[Bob]

Bob could not do anything but clap seeing how the glyph worked. "If I had enough time and preparations, I could really do some damage with something like this." In Bob's mind he was already thinking of winning snowball fights by using sheer numbers of raining snowballs on all those foolish enough to try and contest him. Thinking that, Bob couldn't help but chuckle a little maliciously.

Already he forgot about what happened with the glyph and the lightning from last time. His mind already began working on a multiple snowball launcher through the glyph. Bob said the trigger for his own glyph, "Here's a snowball" and placed his palm on top of the glyph in anticipation of catching the snowball. However since magic which goes into glyph's come out the same way, the snowball shot up and slammed into his hand hard. Smashing on impact and twisting Bob's hand backwards leaving a little bruise.

Bob yelled "Owww!" and with the burning sensation from the impact ran for the stream and dumped his hand into it to soothe himself from the pain,

Deep in thought, Clyde did not absorb what Bob had said right away. He had been thinking of different ways to use his reimancy, and all of the ways he had not yet found. Noticing Bob, he responded.

"Yes... Damage.... Hm?... Well it might do some damage to you to, you don't want to go trying to do to much and hurting yourself. That is the best part of using glyphs for storage, you use the djed then, and then you have less risk of overgiving later when you need it, or are in a bad spot."

"Also, you can use a scroll no matter what condition you are, even if you are hurt or distracted."

Watching, he saw as Bob knocked himself about with a snowball. He was not so good about aiming, he should really practice that. Maybe he should do a bit more practice before doing any dangerous magic.

"Hm.... maybe you should work on your aim. You don't seem to be very accurate. I would give you one of my lightning scrolls I made, If i wasn't afraid you would blow your own head off!"

[Flashback]Sealing and Storing with Sigils[Bob]

Postby Bob Barton on July 25th, 2011, 8:20 am

Bob was too focused with the pain to really pay attention. He was enjoying the calm, tranquil, soothing cold water of the stream on his nearly pulverized hand until his eyes widened hearing that Clyde would give him a lightning scroll. Imagine that? The power of a god in his hands to use whenever he wanted.

Shaking his hand dry, Bob got up and rushed over to Clyde a little bit too excited "What kind of idiot would blow his own head up? If accuracy is your only requirement Master Clyde, I will show you at once!" and hurried over to an empty spot full of now to show what he can do.

When he reached there, Bob stooped down and with both hands started scooping and rolling up snow for a while until he had a neat little pile of snowballs. "No need for reimancy to do this and no need to get tired faster either" Bob said to himself as he was making his ammunition. When he was done, he held the pile with one arm and with his other, started grabbing and throwing them over and over at random trees. One by one Bob took the snowballs with his hands and threw it, underhanded like he would throw dice since it felt more natural to him and he purposely chose the bigger trees as his targets. Going "Splat! Splat! Splat!" Bob sent the snowballs which hit trunks and branches, only missing a few which hit the trees behind and Bob cried out "Look at me hitting all the trees!" to cover up his mistakes.

Looking over at Bob, he wondered if he was once more overgiving. He had started to randomly make snowballs, and appeared to have started a snow war against the trees. He hoped Bob was not expected them to through back.

"Uhm.... I'm not really sure what that proves... And I meant your accuracy with shooting magic out of glyphs. It seems like every time you do so, you hit yourself. That could be dangerous with lightning. You need to think and be careful before sending out the spell."

"I'll give you one, but you have to promise to be careful, and to only use it if you really need it. I don't want you going off and blowing something up, or getting me in trouble. Because there is a chance that the magic can be traced back to me."

"As I said before with djed in runes for glyphs, every ones magic has a different trace, which can be picked out. So you have to be that much more careful when using it. Especially around auristics users."

Looking things over, he wondered some more on some reimancy. His mind often seemed to be wandering to it lately.

Bob was still lobbing snowballs, this time pitching them like any normal person would. From a curl to throwing it out straight the snowballs went with a "Swoosh!" but due to Bob not being used to throwing that way, most of the snowballs flew to the sides instead of their intended target. Like when it happened with the stream, Bob threw more and more at the big tree in front of it but the snowballs went to the left, to the right, or even up, completely missing the tree and falling into the stream with a "Bloop!"

No amount of effort can cover up a mistake like that and well, Clyde already said he will give Bob a scroll. Bob dumped the rest of the snowballs on the ground and went over to Clyde for his lightning scroll. But. everyone likes to put weird condition. Use it when really needed, no blowing stuff up, no getting Clyde into trouble, yadda yadda yadda. Which brings another question to Bob's mind. How does a god get into trouble anyway?

"Whats an auristics user? Is that someone I should look out for?" Tracing magic...scary and dangerous stuff. Maybe someone might use it to trace Bob's cheating dice and cards back to him just like Clyde and his lightning scrolls.

"An auristics user? That is someone who is skilled in the ability to read auras. It can tell you a lot of things, but even more so than normal magic users, they are very good at detecting magics around them."

"They are not so easy to fool, though like with anything in differs in skill level. You need not worry to much from a novice."

Looking at his scrolls, he decided to give the first one to Bob. The two were almost identical, but it seemed like more of a gift to give the first one he had made away.

"There you go, and be careful with it. Don't go using it rashly. Among many things, as I was saying, an auristics user can sense magics. And there is a chance they will be able to make a distinction and tell who it was who cast it, from there djed. So I obviously don't want any attention being brought to myself."

Detecting magic? Even more scary. "So if I lets say...use my reimancy to cheat on my dice...they will know? Anyway I can hide myself or identify these auristic users?" Bob started to look over himself for any telltale signs of him using reimancg and glyphing but all he found was the wounds and injuries.

Bob slowly and dramatically reached his hand out to Clyde's scroll. Finally! The power of a god at the palms of his hands. "Don't worry Master Clyde, I will only use it when I really have to. I bet you'll know." Bob winked a little, a signal that Clyde "should" know what he means.

But getting a gift from a god should not be for free. Bob knows the drill. The gods always want something in return. Pocketing the scroll, he thanked Clyde for the gift. "Thanks for the scroll. But maybe I shouldn't be getting anything for nothing. Do you have anything you want or need in return? Then I'd feel better about myself" and Bob went over to his pile of junk lying around in camp.
