"Heh, I wonder if there is someone for the crowds" replied Farha smiling "Nice to meet you too Tessa!". Fraha moved her right hand forward to shake hands. It was good to make new friends and Fraha needed some, specially girl friends which were kind of difficult to find. She closed her eyes for a moment while during this action and didn't notice that Tessa started to walk for herself. *oh no wait!* thought she while searching quickly hor her. Black hair black hair...there she was. With clumsy yet quick movement Fraha made it thru the three or for people that separated them.

As she was close she could hear her voice, but what she heard wasn't completely what Tessa had said. In fact Fraha capted only like it’s sitting over you and pinning you down, trapping you… sorry, ummm.. I should thank you though, for the thought if nothing else. What? who's sitting over her? Trapping her? And what was she thanking her for? Maybe it was Fraha that trapted her? Wierd but still it might be true, she did actually stick to Tessa and kind of stalked her. a vein of embarassement pervaded her, making her feel awkward, so she waited untill she was sure Tessa would hear her and quickly said "Sorry it wasn't my intention to bother you, I just wanted company." Tessa's words reechoed again in her mind "I should thank you though, for the thought if nothing else" was that ironic? Not very nice but at least she would tell things the way they were.. if only Fraha would use the brain more she would avoid the misunderstandement.

She saw that Tessa got herself a sleeprobe of some sort, so Fraha looked out for a headband or something similar and..look at it, there it was, white with some tribal drawings on it. She took it and tried it without tying the know, just to check if the lenght was right, it was so Fraha gave the merchant two silver mizas andtied the new clothing to her arm biting ont piece while pulling the other. She hoped Tessa would say something.

Tessa turned slightly to look sidelong at Fraha as she spoke and tried on her purchase, a little niggle of guilt making itself known, one that threatened to swell into something far worse. It didn’t help that it was right either. She readily recognised that slightly too quick tone to Fraha’s voice, the look that held just a touch of nervousness to it and she sighed. A little apologetic smile twitched at her lips as she ran her hand through her hair, feeling it glued there by the sprinkling of sweat that lingered within it as she tried to tidy her pony tail again. Here she was, getting all worked up in the heat and the crowds, turning into someone like... like someone who actually lived here, with their 'too busy to talk to you' attitude, their clipped, irritable voices and all. Gods she’d only been in the city for an afternoon and already she was forgetting her manners. She felt a little pang of longing for her woodlands as she tried to think of something to say to the woman, some way to make it right again. "It's no bother Fraha,” she said, her voice full of earnest apology, “honestly, it’s not. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, that is, I'm not normally so... ummmm... like I said I just... you know before? About Sylrias and… ahhh it’s just that I really don't like this city. Well that's not quite true, I like it fine, I just don't actually like being in it. Does that make sense? Or am I sounding like I'm Leth touched again?"

She tried another smile for Fraha as she turned back to the crowd, waiting for the right moment before diving back into it, glancing over her shoulder to make sure Fraha was following this time before ducking under a carelessly hefted pole of some sort. She caught a scent of fish and figured that was what was in the bundle tied to the end. It was good thing she'd noticed it really... having that splattered all over her would have been really unpleasant, especially down here. Still, it might have made the crowds part slightly more readily for her. She was trying to figure out if that would have made up for smelling like rotten fish ‘til she got back to the Swan when she remembered, again, that she had someone with her, someone who she’d been more than a little cold with before. “So… what brings you to the city? I mean it doesn’t look like you’re from round here is all. Are you looking to settle down or just passing through?” Miraculously she managed to make it through all of that without her tongue stumbling once, and better still it looked like they were getting closer to the wall. Tessa really couldn’t think of anything she’d like more than to get out of the bazaar at that moment. Well, alright that wasn’t quite true, there were a couple of things, but they just weren’t going to happen, and Tessa wasn’t the sort to hang around waiting for the impossible to happen.

Seeing her expression made Fraha somewhat happy, it was good to have these kind of misunderstandings, which made one think *everything were better than expected*. She smiled at Tessa as she started to speak. Her speech was lovely, she seemed so carefull in her words, the blabbing only made it better. Leth touched? Fraha had never heard such expression but loved it. She clapped her hands loudly and scared an old man passing by. "Oh yes it does, I understand what you mean."

Following Tessa wasn't easy, she was moving quite fast, probably because of what she told before. She went under a pole and Fraha did the same when suddenly...fish smell! "YUK!" yelled she looking at the bag so too close to her face. A shiver of disgust run quickly thru her body before she could get away from there, she hated rotten fish smell...well everybody did, but still she thought she hated it more. Reaching up Tessa again she was about to ask where were they going when she spoke first. Fraha was surprised, Tessa was indeed a carefull observer. However that question wasn't easy to answer since Fraha didn't know either what could she do. "Heh, well you're right, I'm from Yahebah a city far in the south, I came here because I'm tarvelling. Unfortunately I managed to stay here a bit more that I thought. I can't tell what brings me her.." interrupted by a quickly walking man that stomped her foot. "Watch it fucker!" yelled she in Shiber before continuing "I was saying, my initial idea of Syliras got spoiled pretty much in lately. Buut what about you?" The dialog seemed to lead to a conversation in a tavern or something, Fraha couldn't tell, but she would surely like it.

So she was a traveller too? It was nice to meet someone else who wanted to see more of the world like she did. Tessa was about to reply but ended up flinching instead when Fraha shouted loudly in a tongue she'd not heard before. She guessed the man she was shouting at had upset her somehow but that didn't really matter, just so long as she wasn't shouting at her. She didn't want any trouble in the city, not with the Knights around, they weren't known for listening to the circumstances around whatever happened. "Oh, ermm much the same I guess. I tend to live round here out in forest most of the time, only reason I come back to the city is to pick up some supplies and get some work. Usually run with caravans to wherever they're going. The pay's not bad and you get to see new places and all so it suits me. That and it's safer to travel in groups out there than on your own." The guard dogs that some merchants kept did cause her some problems she had to admit, but if she was careful she could usually keep well clear of them. Plus they were usually tied up so she didn't have to worry too much about them. She carefully refrained from asking about why Syliras had been treating Fraha badly, it wasn’t any of her business after all.

She paused as they finally hit the wall before she started making her way along it to the nearest staircase, at least here the crowds were thinner so they made much better time of it. Soon enough she was back outside and in the sunshine, or at least she would have been if it weren’t for the shadow cast by the looming fortress above her. She glanced along the stalls that had spilled out and found something that looked like what she was after, outdoorsy type supplies. She strode over and just as before pointed at the things she’d need, three lots of Traveller’s Stock, a pound of jerked beef, a Hooded Lantern and two pints of oil. The woman at the stall wrapped them up for her and she dug into her purse and handed over the money. She was hoping a job’d come up soon and that meant she’d most likely need the supplies for it. She knew better than most that it was always best to be prepared when you were making a long trip. Come to think of it a job had better come up soon, if she wasn’t careful she’d end up with nothing to live on but air and whatever she could scrounge out in the forests, and that was fine for a little while… until you started to miss the home comforts. Still, she had about everything she needed on her list as far as she could remember, and if she’d forgotten anything she could always come back later on. She slipped her new purchases into her pack and turned back to Fraha with a smile and gave her a nod “Well, that’s me done for the day, I’m heading back to the Swan to drop this lot off before I check to see if any work’s come in, what about yourself?” It’d been nice talking to her and all but Tessa really did have to get on if she was going to make it to the employment office in time.
