Strange meeting (Sama'el)

"I'm not exactly sure if you would know what I mean. Though I'll try and explain." Her pace slows as she was in no hurry. "I find that Drykas talk to their horses, but it feels as if you guys don't want to get to close. Like you're scared to be really close. It happens amoungst you're people too.. As i've seen it. Why is that?" Really she was just thinking out loud. She also wanted to understand the Drykas peoplebetter. Just like they wanted to understand her.

She had started humming her mothers song. It was the only one she'd always get right. She was smiling as she patted Horses neck for she had gone to the opposite side of his owner.

He still didn't understand, and his beetled brows showed it.

"Horse is as close to me as a brother," he assured her. "There were years where we were each other's only friend. I suppose perhaps you mean that we speak to them because we don't know the language of horses, and so you can speak with them because you do. But our Striders, at least, understand Pavi. They are quite intelligent.

"Did I understand you correctly or am I still lost?"

She giggled, "No, I still don't think you quite understand. Though it is okay, for most people don't understand, and i'm not saying that horses aren't intelligent, I myself believe they are one of the smartest creatures. I do not wish to be disrespctful in anyway, Sama'el, I am just telling you my thoughts in a way I guess you didn't understand." she smiled meekly. "Well, we're almost to my tent, thank you so much. I would very much like to meet you again someday. Unless you'd like to stay and have me explain to you what it is I mean." She laughed again.

Strange meeting (Sama'el)

Still scratching his head, he looked to see whereabouts her tent was, but it could have been one of any number of them. The whole city was made up of them. But he glanced back at her, dubious.

"You could try, but apparently I don't speak Ginchoeri," he said ruefully. "Perhaps next time you can try again. But I'm glad to help, of course. It's part of my job, but it's also a pleasure. Just remember that when you leave Endrykas, there's safety in numbers."

He winked and vaulted up into Horse's saddle with a bit of acrobatic flair. One of these days, though, he was going to have to train Horse to wear an yvas; it was just a matter of time.

She smiled up at him, "Well then, we will see each other another time. Thank you for your time." She watched after him, humming. Her hair whipping with the wind and the setting sun making it look like she shined with a briliance. Waving to him in goodbye she waited for his figure to dissappear.

Storyteller Notes

This was an interesting first encounter. It was nice to see the interaction between Gin and Horse wasn't brushed to the side or written as an afterthought even though Horse is an NPC animal. I tried to give XP where I could, but there was more socializing than action in this thread, and Sam, you're so competent already in the skills you did use, that I would want to see a little more detail or use to give you any more than what I did.

If you have any questions or concerns about the rewards you obtained, please feel free to send me a PM about it. If you feel that I've not given you experience or lore for something that you feel you deserve, I'd be more than happy to take a second look at the thread.
