Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

Bones gave his odd sneer like smile, at hearing the mage would teach him some of his magics. He had not expected anything else, but it was still nice to hear that he would be learning it.

He wondered what magics it was that the man had? Well he would know soon enough...

It was a bit ironic really the entire circumstances. Seidaku thought he was being forced to teach magic. But really it was more of a request. In Bones eyes he simply felt he was asking a question, and for a equal exchange.

The concept of blackmail was completely foreign to him. Even if he was apparently good at using it... This showed yet another difference between the two races...

So Bones was not angry when the man brought up the condition. He could try to teach the man what little he knew... Though in truth it was very little... He only knew the basics he had been taught... And he had hardly made any items.

"Okay.... Ssat is fair... Ssough we will have to meet again to do it... My magic is not asss sssimple as yoursss... We firssst have to get ingredientsss for it... Ssso teach me yoursss today... And tomorrow we will get ingredientsss... And then I will ssshow the magic..."

A triple s (sss) means just an [s], but it is extended in his speech.

From the man's sneering scowl, it appeared that his endeavor to turn the blackmail into something more akin to a trade of knowledge had failed. After an uncomfortable moment of silence though, his gamble had paid off. Perhaps the man was not as willing to go to begin rumors of magic after all.

Seidaku's relief at that was enough that he almost backed out of the deal. But, if he were to renege on teaching, perhaps the menacing fellow would prove to be less than reluctant about those rumors.

Seidaku frowned slightly at Bones' comments, though. His magic was simple? He had learned to breach a hole between realities using only his wll. He could change his form, and he was fairly certain that he could contact another world if ever he tried. He was fairly sure that the other man was exaggerating the difficulty of his art.

The whole thing began to smell of a trick, though. It was something that could not be taught today, he should simply teach what he knew for the promise of recompense at a later date. Still... just the possibility of expanding his magical horizons was enough to keep him intrigued, at least enough to provide basic lessons.

As poorly as the blackmail sat with him, the promise, even as vague as it had been, of Malediction was enough to earn his agreement. Seidaku nodded his acceptance, "Very well. But, umm," he looked around nervously, "Best if it is not here. Do you, ah, have quarters in the city?"

His statement had been a true one. They did not want to practice magic of any sort here, or anywhere where there were observers, really. The unfair societal bias against the use of magic became more... pronounced when the citizenry was given an example of said magic use.

Bones thought for a moment, listening to what he had said. He did not detect an oddity about it, though in reality the man was a bit perturbed by what he said, thinking Bones was being dishonest.

For the most part, Bones was a pretty honest man, as long as he did not feel like telling the truth put himself in danger. Otherwise, he would follow through on what he said, and had a strong sense of right and wrong, more so than most of the humans he had met.

"I do.... But ssey are rasser sssmall... Not really sssuited for training.... It might be better to go outssside the ssity, to train ssere... In the wide open wildernessss... Alssso I don't want my place messssed up..."

"And I sssuppossse sssince we will already be outssside, we could try and find sssome ingredientsss to work with... After you ssshow your magic..."

This seemed a much better alternative to Bones, than going to his tiny quarters. Though in addition he would not have to show another human what his house looked like. Not that it would really help them with finding it in this crazy city.

Small quarters would not have been an issue really. It was unlikely that anything would come of a single afternoon studying Voiding. The first lesson, possibly more depending on the quality of his student, would be little more than Voiding theory and meditation.

And he wanted to leave the city, to boot? He could admit that the thought of wandering off into the wilderness with a stranger who was actively blackmailing him to learn magic left him more than a little nervous. Still, the promise of Malediction remained, which would apparently require them to gather supplies in order to work.

He weighed his options silently, tapping the back of his foot in thought. The more he thought about it, the more the other man's slow, hissing speech seemed vaguely menacing. But, why go to the effort of blackmail and make him suggest a trade if the intent was murder from the outset? He was reading too much into the situation. There was no reason for the blackmail. You're being paranond, he told himself firmly.

Aloud, he finally said, "Umm, okay... Outside the city is, ah, fine. Do you have, umm, someplace specific in mind?"
