The Sweet Whisper is in our blood

    Race: Mixed Blood (Human, Vantha)
Birthday & Age: Winter 470, 42 years old
    Gender: Male

It calls to us, mind, body, and soul

Icol, never being very physical, has a very slim body. He stands at 5’8’’ and weighs a mere 127 lbs. As a child he never went outside much due to illness, and thus has become very pale. His face is pointed like one may see in an intellectual or a scholar, and his receding hair has become a silvering black. His eyes normally remain a deep brown or black, but do change like any other person of Vantha blood.

Our will is that which saves us

The main driving trait behind Icol's personality is the lust for secret knowledge. He is ever the hoarder of every mysterious text, every hidden scroll, and every wise old sage that may possibly be his ticket to ultimate power. Of course, when dealing with others (particularly other wizards) he keeps his desires under wraps, for fear of persecution by being seen as a possibly dangerous magic user. He finds the shrouded mystery and dark fears of magic intriguing, and will heatedly pursue any means of achieving the knowledge he craves in order to achieve the means to his own ends. He avoids alcohol almost altogether, as it brings up memories he would prefer forgotten.

And our weakness is that which damns us

Taken from her home realm in Taldera and sold to slavery as a very young child, Keirra had always lived a hard life. Eventually there arrived a summer when she first came into adulthood in which she and her fellow captives were in Ravok; their overseer intent on selling the lot of them. A man about her age entered, looking rather flustered and out of place. He scanned the crowd of slaves, and his eyes fell quickly on Keirra. After that there were some words muttered barely over a breath and a quick exchange of coins, and then the Vantha girl was his. Keirra later learned from this man that he was a practicing wizard, Fenrus de Mordi, and that he needed a slave for no more reason than to be an assistant in his magical experiments. She was relieved and scared at the same time; relieved because she was not to be servant to some filthy barbarian, but scared because of the promise of magic. The bulk of the experiments, however, turned out to be no more than minor practices in animation, where most of the time Fenrus would cause a small toy to come to life, dance for a short while, then fall back to inanimation. The truth he had not admitted to even himself was that he was lonely, and the company of the charming girl was welcome.

It was no wonder then, that they were wed only a year after Fenrus had bought her. They were wanderers still, always on the move to pursue the wizard’s magical career. Eventually Keirra became pregnant, and their wanderings finally had to come to an end. They traveled to her home town of Avanthal, the place where she had been born. She had been the lost child of a healer of Whitevine, and they were welcomed back into the Hold graciously.

They named the boy Icol de Mordi, after Fenrus’s own father. Unfortunately, he was ever a sickly child despite all the magical healing constantly applied to him. Instead of moving and playing in the cold like the other children, Icol was more often than not confined to bed. He developed a love for reading early, and it wasn’t long before he had devoured every tome of knowledge that they possessed. The most intriguing read was that of his father’s, though Fenrus did not realize that Icol had secretly taken the book from his personal collection. It spoke of the different types of magic that existed and the basic theory behind them, particularly that of Reimancy. Icol was often captivated by the mystery and power that the prospect of being a wizard offered. He eventually learned, much to his surprise, that his father was one of these magic practitioners spoken of in the book. Fenrus was furious at first when he discovered his son’s theft, but that faded when he began to ponder the idea of training the boy to carry on his own work. The next day, Fenrus summoned Icol to begin his magical tutoring.

As his teachings progressed, his body became stronger as the flow of magic grew throughout him. He found himself getting sick less and less, and could spend far more time outside. Two years later, he was out in the Whitevine hold when he heard a voice sweeter than anything that could possibly exist. It belonged to a girl more beautiful than any that could possibly exist. This was the girl who would eventually break his heart.

Greetings, and Welcome to Mizahar!

I am Avant Garde and I am what's known here at Mizahar as a Character Sheet Liaison. My job is to help others with their Character Sheets by making sure they are correct and prepping them for playing. Here I noticed a couple of things in your Character Sheet that need some tweaking.

Upon inspection of your equipment and possessions, I see you do not have a housing package. If you choose to “cash in” your housing, you may take an extra 500 Mizas, but be warned: You will be expected to note in your ledger where you have stayed. Mizahar is a dangerous place, so you will be expected to stay in a place such as an Inn or other shelter, and deduct the costs of your stay in your ledger. The only alternative to this matter would be if you had a Wilderness Survival skill level high enough to be able to protect yourself and survive out in the wild of Miza. Please make your choice, and adjust your CS.

Everything else looks good so far! Please make the mentioned adjustments to your Character Sheet and you'll be thread-ready! Thank you for your compliance, and I bid you a grand welcome to Mizahar! Feel free to message me with any further questions/comments/concerns. PM me after you have made the requested changes and I will remove this post.
