A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]
A city park run by the Ebonstryfe, the Pit is the center of bloody entertainment in Ravok. In the center of the park is a large, iron-fenced pit where fights are held. Primarily for slave fights, it is occasionally used to settle disputes or even as a form of public execution. The pit is surrounded by rows of raised benches allowing a full view of the action for spectators. Beneath the bleachers are the cages, where fighters are held until it is there turn, as well as a concessions stand where ale and food can be bought and a booth where odds can be seen and wagers can be placed on upcoming fights.
The Pit was originally built by the Nitrozian family as a way to generate extra revenue, but upon seeing the usefulness of such an establishment it was claimed by the Ebonstryfe in 495 AV. The Ebonstryfe's first demonstration was a grand performance consisting of several bloody battles and ending in a one on one match between Malfus the Blood, who played the part of Rhysol, and an unknown prisoner who played the part of Sylir. Malfus put on a glorious show for the spectators, holding true to the story and slaying Sylir in a brutal display. The Ravokians loved it, and since that day viewing matches at the Pit has become a favorite pastime for many of Ravok's citizens.

NPCs :
Name: Malfus the Blood Race: Human DOB: Winter 18th, 485 AV Skills: Brawling - 83, Great Axe - 75, Intimidation - 60, Leadership - 50 Other Information: First champion of the Pit, Malfus went on to win many more matches until retiring as the only undefeated champion. Originally a slave, he was granted his freedom by the Ebon Lord and given the job of running the Pit, scheduling fights and in charge of all the revenue generated by the arena. Malfus is a shrewd business man and a terrifying fighter. He is known for his ability to see right through anyone's bluff, in or out of the Pit, and does not take kindly to people trying to cheat him. Quick to anger, but just as quick to forgive over a cup of ale or a free night with a fine lady.
Name: Braga "The Animal" Age: 28 Race: Human POB: Nyka DOB: 33rd day of Spring, 484 AV Title: "Reigning Pit Champion" Skills: Endurance - 78, Gladius - 70, Shield - 70, Brawling - 53, Intimidation - 32 Other Information: Remembered by few as the impetuous Nykan monk, Drailen Veil, Braga's newly adopted name is now one chanted to the thunderous applause of Ravok's countless, bloodthirsty fans. Vile and violent, Braga is easily characterized as an obnoxious and arrogant brute who has grown as enamored with his own glory as the people placing their bets on him to win. Having proven incapable of being subdued or overcome by any opponent so far, the pit fighter is a man who simply takes what he wants, when he wants it, and never concerns himself with the consequences, regardless if that thing be money, women, or another man's life. Tremendously large and imposing, the fighter's skill in the arena is such that, before being promptly and utterly eviscerated, few other fighters have managed to accomplish anything more than leaving behind the single, mandatory scar Braga allows each of them before the decimating end. Covered from head to toe in these battleground markings, the warrior is famed for an impossibly thick skin that can see more punishment and savagery inflicted upon it in a few weeks, than most men are forced to endure in a lifetime.
Despite his chosen profession upon the blood drenched sands of Ravok's dreaded Pit, Braga was never a slave to begin with, nor is he even one today. Voluntarily stepping into the arena as a free man, fame and riches soon followed when he soundly defeated the colossus Aregos in his first bout, a fighter so feared and mighty in his prime, it was fervently believed it would be he who would eventually see Malfus the Blood himself toppled from his throne. Braga has since taken up that mantle of imminent championship as his own, constantly mocking and challenging the former champion turned Pit master with each immaculate victory. The gladiator has yet to lose a single bout of combat, and as his infamy grows and grows, the name Braga is quickly becoming a commonly used synonym by many Ravokians for ruthlessness and outrageously unfair competition.
Even in the past, so exceptional was Braga's savagery in a fight, the Nykan's calculated brutality was rumored to have even attracted the attention of Myri herself. These rumors, though unfounded, spread like wildfire among the other monks and served as the final straw when it came to man's already waning faith. Shunned as a traitor to their vows and gods, Braga eventually left his home some five years ago, turning away from the unfulfilled life of servitude he had been lured into and abandoning his city for what he felt was a more worthy path. With the vacuum Malfus's retirement created, it wasn't long before the brawler discovered Ravok and worked his way up the bloody ladder until finally it was he who was whispered of as the greatest gladiator in the city. With each fight, the fans consistently cheer not for the poor fools unlucky enough to be pitted against the Nykan beast, but instead they cry for the inevitable day Braga and Malfus, the greatest of their times, finally go to war and settle the burning question surrounding both men once and for all...
Which champion is truly the best?

Name: Kati Race: Human DoB: Winter 24, 586 AV PoB: Riverfall Title: Mercenary Skills: Battleaxe 69, Dual Wield 64, Unarmed Combat 58, Wrestling 54, Cooking 48, Flux 42 Gnosis: 1 Mark of Wysar Additional Info: Kati is the second born sister of the 'Lionesses of Sylira', the fraternal twin sisters that plagued caravans around the region. They were given that title by other slavers that were jealous of their daring and combat abilities. The pair were born in Riverfall, and trained under a close family friend, one of the many Akalak men there.
Kati was never the leader type, for she very rarely ever speaks, she is the brawn to her sister's brains. She trained twice as often as her sister, and when the pair left Riverfall to go into slavery in Sylira, she took to it with a frenzied blood thirst. She gave no quarter to anyone who held a weapon to her, and the only people who lived after being defeated by her were those that her sister deemed worthwhile slaves.
When the sisters came to Ravok to settle down into a more comfortable business prospect, Kati used her funds to buy a share of The Pit. Kati is always present at slave auctions, looking for strong fighting slaves, to be used as guards, combat fodder, and to assist mercenaries that wished to purchase them. She trains the slaves she buys, and her sister manages where they go when ready.
