Malia malia! I think what you forgot in that list, and the best option I can suggest is for you to hire an Assistant Storyteller ;) You've done a great job with Mura so far, and since you're becoming busy, you should have someone to fall back to. You don't need to leave Mura, you should just give yourself a little break and find love for the island again :) An AS might help you get things up and coming, plus it's always nice to plot with another player.
I. Vox Populi, Vox Dei
II. The Night the Watchtowers Cried

I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common woman with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough.

[Malia's Scrapbook] The Final Curtain

What keeps me occupied.

Jil - this sounds like a good idea. If only I had some candidates to choose from ... I mean, I know about one, but it's not sure.

Anyway, when I'm not posting ic, I'm usually posting ooc. And I'm staying away from chat as some kind of punishment and because I don't want to be distracted (from procrastination, right?). So I thought I'd let you know what I'm doing instead of posting.

Today I've been reading through a board RPG that's about vampires: Umbra et Obscuritas. And: Haha, you can't read it! Obviously it's in German. But you can see from the graphics that it's well-organized, active and has a nice atmosphere. Every once in a while I consider registering at a German RPG, because after all it IS my first language and I feel most confident with it.

Additionally, I've been digging up music videos I've watched some time ago and found very beautiful. All of them are J/K-Pop, and I believe the performance is pretty good. The first two ones obviously contain advertisement for some kind of mobile phone. The third one is of one of the most famous Japanese pop singers, Namie Amuro. She does the most amazing stage performances.

Girl's Generation - Chocolate Love

f(x) - Chocolate Love

Namie Amuro - Rock Steady

Last but not least, I've been playing this:

Call me a nerd. It's the only game I ever play regularly.

I have promised myself to write posts tomorrow, by the way.

I am saving up money for a DSi XL, as I am in absolute need of a DS. The XL looks amazing, with the big screens. I want to see Pokemon and Dragon Quest on those big screens! Not like I need another new system... But it is the only major one I am missing now! D:

We need to trade Pokemon when I get mine. Do you have any favorites?

Ora - Awww, that's very nice of you! I wish I could write more with you too.

And thanks, Lozylir and Stitch! Unfortunately, the previous body is in a state of decay and not so pretty anymore. But I decided to keep the avvie as "default appearance". The hair could be black or red on the b/w picture, after all.

Life goals

I've thought a lot about life and directions and education and professions and jobs in general and for me personally, and while I haven't come to a real conclusion yet, I know one thing for sure: There are certain goals I want to achieve. Here are they, for the sake of not forgetting them, and for you to get to know me a little bit better.

  • Be a writer by profession.
  • Have a job I enjoy.
  • Have a place to return to in Austria and two or three other countries. (Because I love these places so much - Vienna, Italy (Venice is expensive, but awesome) and Japan, maybe even the US.)
  • Have a person I can share everything with.
And even though some goals sound foolish or not realistic, I need them just as I need my ability to dream. I won't listen if I get told it's impossible.

Moments Like Glass

Oh God. For a little longer than one week, every day has been exciting, intense and new now. There is so much happening, in class, but also apart from school. More or less.

I don’t know how graduation is handled in other countries and at other schools, but there are two customs every Austrian class does during the last year: They organize and run their “senior prom” and they go on “senior trip” (yes, American expressions, for lack of a better translation). Both of these issues are endlessly exciting, but with both come along problems and conflicts. Someone has even dared to foretell that our class will be split in three groups when it comes to the journey.

Nevertheless, I’m very excited. It feels like the end, but hell, we’ll make an end with glamour and glory and noise out of it!

Let’s talk about the ball first. When our class made a dancing course together a few years ago, I was always the one without a partner and therefore, I didn’t like the hours in the studio much. It was like torture – in my opinion, anyway – , but I couldn’t quit, because we had already paid for everything in advance. So I endured it until the end. The traditional ball at the end of the course was kind of funny, although I still didn’t have a partner and had to watch everyone else opening prom with a dance. I left quite early. This year many things have changed. I’ve learned to love dancing for being one with the rhythm and for the opportunity of expressing oneself through movement. I currently do a hip hop course and love every second of it! Anyway, ballroom dancing is something I still do not particularly like, because it is hard to find a partner. Nearly all my friends are girls. And since there are more girls in our class than boys, everyone has been faster than me and no boy is left anymore.

So since I’m not as shy as a few years ago anymore, I decided I would ask my neighbor. Our relationship is kind of special though. We grew up together because our mums were best friends, we always played together and as the eldest siblings in both our families we were on one wavelength regarding age as well. We did so many things together I can’t even remember anymore. Around the age of ten or even earlier, our lives drifted apart. The connections and similarities had diminished and we didn’t see each other often. We stopped talking. We hadn’t ever talked much, we had only experienced our little child adventures together. Recently we’ve exchanged some words again. We’re both eighteen now, and he’s made his driving license already, so he sometimes drives me home from the train station in his second-hand cabriolet. Two “idle talk while driving home” situations we have already experienced.

And I get the idea: It might be nice if he was my partner for our ball. Never mind that he doesn’t know anyone from my school. Never mind that we barely know each other, at least not how we are now. Never mind that he might not be so kind as to do me that favor. We’re acquaintances, I guess. Maybe I have feelings for him, but I don’t know. I’ve always been hesitant and very cautious with saying “I love this or that person.” I guess I’m careful because I don’t want to be hurt, but at the same time I long for a close relationship. I don’t know.

At least I have asked him. It has been an odyssey so far though … I got his phone number from my mum’s phone and sent him a message today morning. When he hadn’t answered in the afternoon, I called him. Apparently the number doesn’t exist anymore. So I got his mum’s phone number from my dad’s phone and called. His dad picked up the phone and I finally could talk to him and ask him. He said he’d call me back tomorrow. It’s driving me crazy!

At least I’ll have an answer tomorrow. And I’ll tell him that it’d be so nice if we had more contact from now on. I like the way he is, although I don’t know much about him.

By the way, we have some options for our journey. I think it will boil down to Mallorca, a cruise around the Mediterranean Sea (yes, expensive), and Bulgaria. I’m fine with the last two options, but we’ll see how persistent other suggestions are.
