"Why did you leave?" The deep voice of Loren Dyres echoed in his quarters, calmly asking the deserter knight.
"I had my reasons..." Sera Shatter answered with a tremble from her lips, she had this feeling that Loren and Kaylana already knew, but decided to test her honesty, "My daughter, when I lost my husband I... I just..."
"We understand," Kaylana interjected with a warm smile on her face, then the Seer would look at Loren then gave him a nod.
"Very well, Shatter, you are now welcomed back as a Knight, do know that I'm giving you a second chance," Loren's face turned utterly serious, boring deep into Shatter's soul, "Do not fail us again."
"...u-understood, Grandmaster." The squire had been right, they were not aiming to kill her, they simply wanted her back, into the arms of the Order. Shatter would be sure to find this new knight and thank him profusely after this.
