Farren wanted to respect Cara. She was one of the few people who seemed to treat him like he was a normal Vantha. It did bother him that she was battling him though. Especially since she did not have any skill in tracking. "I'm sorry Cara, but those are definitely caribou tracks." His eyes flashed a shade of dark green as he spoke. "If you want to go off in search of moose, feel free though." With a shrug, he walked forward along the line of tracks after Cara. "Petching girl… Farren followed after her until they reached the herd of Caribou. The man did not utter an "I told you so", even though it was showing in the rich blue of his irises. He looked to her, motioning for her to be quiet. "Stay here. Don't move close until I tell you and make sure Iaera doesn't come close to the caribou." The Frostfawn walked forward to the herd, careful to make himself seem as unthreatening as possible. When the man was close enough, he placed a hand on the flank of one of the caribou. "Don't worry about the girl, she is a friend. Tell your brothers and sisters" Farren did not think of the girl as a friend but if it kept from spooking the animals, he could make her sound a bit better than she actually was. "Cara you can come. Just walk slowly and don't seem threatening." His hand moved across the caribou's fur. "I know that is hard for you but try." He smirked lightly as he motioned for her to move forward. Farren wanted to tell Cara why the animals seemed so comfortable around him but he did not feel he could trust her. She was angry and rude. He would not dare to tell anyone about his gift from Caiyha unless they were someone he could confide in. |
