The White Swan Inn is a peaceful location set near the Castle enjoying the flow of traffic to and from Stormhold. Considered one of the safest and finest lodgings in the city, The White Swan has about the best meals anywhere. Attached to it is its own bathhouse that serves its guests exclusively. Its kitchens are open to all sorts wanting to dine, though without a clean appearance, the waiters will often turn potential patrons away until they've cleaned themselves up. The main business the White Swan does is dining. It serves dinner to a wide assortment of people visiting and living within Syliras. Its often filled with Syliran Knights (without their armor) and requires their 'guests' to peacebond their weapons before they come in and enjoy sitting. The restaurant is set in a circular pattern, with a sunken round fireplace as the centerpiece of the room. Tables radiate on terraces out from the fireplace which is surrounded by a deep-seated couch where patrons can enjoy a drink while they are waiting for a table.
Each table is clothed in fine linen, and the walls surrounding the restaurant are graced with masterwork art depicting all manner of pleasant scenes. There is a roving band of musicians, mainly violinists, who add pleasant music to the dining experience. If someone is purchasing the banquet, they will be seated on the north side where a long table is often piled high with foodstuffs the patrons can wander and select from. The remainder of the diners are treated well, and waited on hand and foot by a seasoned staff.
Upstairs through the rooms available in the Inn. Each room is a suite with a sitting area and a separate bedroom area. They are all decorated differently, with a minimalistic taste though elegantly done. Guests will find fresh flowers in their rooms, often a snack tray, and a chilled bottle of wine. There is a stable out back where horses can be boarded and carriages stored. The White Swan Inn strives to bring its customers only satisfaction and pampering.
The owners, two independent ladies - Jazmin Collins and Tresa Mashila - have worked exceedingly hard to make sure the restaurant and inn shines. Both Jazmin and Tresa are Syliran Knight Widows who petitioned the leadership of the knighthood to see that they would be well taken care of. As is common for the Syliran Knights, the Grandmaster granted them coin to start their own business. They opted for an Inn, and ever since then they have been doing astonishingly well. They have repaid their grant from the Knighthood and often help other young widows start businesses within Syliras' protective arms. Jazmin runs the Inn portion while Tresa rules the kitchen. They have a whole host of waiters and waitresses working for them, as well as kitchen staff and cleaning personnel. Almost all their employees are children or widows of Syliran Knights.
Jacob Trevas is the stablemaster, a retired Syliran Knight who's gone completely blind. He enjoys the work and the attention the widows lavish on him. His only daughter, Samantha Trevas, is the chief cook under Tresa. The White Swan Inn is a great place to gain access to a specific Syliran Knight or get into contact with family members of one in particular. It's said that Jazmin tends to heavily discount her services too those affiliated with the Syliran Knights as well.
