Tara watched silently. Glaive had turned to look at her but was now making conversation with the human. She cocked her head slightly. Maybe Glaive had other reasons for seeking the company of others. Tara wasn't sure if she should start something or not. She liked the peace that came with being her compared to the waves of humans outside. However being this close to another kelvic was intimidating and she wasn't able to relax the way she wanted to. Like the animal she was, she liked her space and did not appreciate other kelvics being there as they posed more of a threat than humans. They were also more easily aggravated. Her instincts told her that she shouldn't be near Glaive. Though she could not read the kelvic as she could read humans, she could sense something strange. She was showing emotion, but not fully feeling it. Tara could not be sure, but it made her feel uneasy. She hated not knowing. A few men got up from their seats leaving a table near the hearth open.
Tara picked up her wine and walked confidently over and sat down. She was closer to the kelvic now and would be able to judge better. That and the fire was much warmer than the seat near the door she had chosen earlier. Her escape route was pretty crowded now, but Tara didn't mind. She was distracted by the strange situation here. Although, now she was this close she began to regret her decision. It made her more anxious being this close and every instinct sown into her veins from years of living were screaming to get out of there. Tara, as a general rule, did not confront what she could not win. She didn't know what was up with this girl... She did not seem to convey emotion. Well, she put up a pretty good facade but Tara could see through it. While she could see the curiosity on Glaive's face, she could not feel it the way she could with others. While pondering this she slowly sipped her wine. She flicked her eyes to Glaive and gave a taunting smile. Although she was unsure of this, she would not let fear get the better of her pride. If things got too bad and it seemed she might lose she would make a dash for it.
