This was really difficult for me so don't judge, I tried my best. "The wind brushed against his skin and clothes but left as soon as it came, leaving only the sensation of longing behind." I'm sorry, it's 22 words but I tried my best to make it short. It just didn't make sense without the extra 2 words. EDIT: Oh snap, I forgot the mermaids! How could I forget the mermaids? Duh. This is part I I believe of a Mermaid poem made in 1830 by Alfred Lord Tennyson. If you want the rest then just type in Mermaid poem, Alred Tennyson and it'll pop up for you. "WHO would be A mermaid fair, Singing alone, Combing her hair Under the sea, In a golden curl With a comb of pearl, On a throne?"

Beautiful exercise, Bina! I've really loved reading what everyone has come up with. Here's my first attempt: Whimsical waters swept the lily along, allowing it to pause at the river's divide as if there was a choice.
